    Geekbox Computers Inc.
Adrian and most of his Geekbox crew are the real deal.  I have dealt with Geekbox for a little over a year and they have always been helpful.  I am working with Adrian now to resolve an issue with my computer and he has been great.  Avoid working with one tech named Skitch Bryant.  He is rude, patronizing and unwilling to actually troubleshoot the core issue when there is a problem.  After wasting time with him I talked with Adrian I am back on track and am confident they will resolve my issues. My PC is lightning fast, well built and Adrian backs up his computers.

We looked at their computers and he helped us by answering questions, giving us his experience etc. We decided on a HP and he wrote up the sales slip and accepted our gift certificate from the same store and arranged delivery. He also checked on prices from other stores and when their computer was down he went out of his way promptly to another dept. where a computer was operating and gave us information as to who to contact about problems we may have.

If you buy their computer they give you lifetime service.  I'm kind of mad at them right now.  I was so mad at them.  Every computer I have in my house was from those guys.  This last time they were jacking me around so I went out and bought another computer that wasn't related to them.  I feel like they have a little bit of a scam going on but for those who don't know anything it's probably a good thing.  I've used them for years and I still use them because I still have those other computers.  I last brought in my PC laptop because my keyboard went out and they were going to charge me $80 to replace the keyboard which is fair because you have to buy your parts.  Then I started goggling the keyboard I could buy it for $29 yet they wanted to charge me for $80.  I told them I thought the service was free and they said that's how much they were going to charge me for the keyboard  and I was not okay with that.  They charge you $1000-$1500 for the computer and that's ok but to charge me that much for a keyboard that's not okay.  They kind of got abrupt with me a little bit.  Also, I found a computer that I wanted and it was $2000 and I said if you can build this for me the way it is I would give them $3000, then they said it would be $3200-$3400 with taxes.  I went online and bought a new computer and they shopped it over night for $4.

The owner/president, Oscar Williams, of this company, Your Computer Solutions 2000 or YCS2K, is crooked. Please do not fall for what I fell for. Read below! I was supposedly sold a "new" computer for $300.00 only to find out it was a $25.00 case that new with a used DVD-ROM, hard drive, bad memory, CPU and fan and horrible workmanship. Untrained monkeys do better. The Owner/President, Oscar Williams, If that is his real name, builds these himself and does a really crummy job. He supposedly offers a 1-year warranty with his computers, but you have to "hunt him down" and spend hours leaving him messages on his cellphone. He will ignore your call if he recognizes the number on his caller-ID. He picks up his phone and hangs it up. Do not trust him in your home! Oscar Williams wreaks of dishonesty. I gave him a 2nd chance, because I believe in second chances, and I got burned again.

My mother-in-law went in to upgrade her laptop, which she had purchased from this company, because it was running slowly. Vendor talked her into buying a new, way over-priced desktop computer and monitor ($1,700.00). When she got home and told us about it, we were shocked at the price tag, and that they had talked her into buying something she didn't need. So, she called them and asked them to cancel the purchase. My wife, her daughter, went in to pick up the laptop she had left there, and to get a refund of the $300 deposit she had paid for the new system. She was met by the salesperson who had sold the computer, who wasn't satisfied with my wife's repeated requests to "just take care of this quickly and professionally". He lit into her, subjecting her to 15-20 minutes of why he was right and she was wrong, with another member of the staff joining in to harangue her. It was a terrible experience. It has become clear to us that their lifetime warranty, which appears to at least double the price paid for their merchandise, is nothing but a ruse to get people to buy, and when they come in for repairs, they work very hard to up-sell the customer, taking advantage of those who don't know any better. She has needed repairs for her laptop several times throughout its history, while the fact is that most computers need little or no repairs during their useful lifetime. Their merchandise is apparently low quality in spite of being extremely over-priced. My mother-in-law could have purchased an equivalent computer with a full extended warranty covering its reasonable useful life for much less money. We know, because we have done just that with several computers in our household over the past year. We only regret she didn't ask us before going looking for a new computer. Apparently she thought we were too busy. I believe I can get her existing laptop running much better with little or no cost to her, but if not, she could get more of a new computer than she needs and save over $1,000 compared to what PC Laptops charged her. Amazingly, they wanted $1,700 for the new computer, which included a $400 trade-in for her laptop. I might pay that much for a workstation for my software engineering that I do day in and day out, but it would be a much better machine than they were selling, and certainly far more machine than my mother-in-law could ever justify. Fortunately, we were able to get her a refund in this case, although they made sure they exacted a "price" from my wife for having the nerve to request a refund. This is a place we will avoid at all costs, and recommend others do so as well. I hope it's not inappropriate to say so here, but I have heard several similar stories from other people who have dealt with this company. They lived up to their poor reputation today.
