Carpet Installation reviews in Ogden

  • GREAT!   I am so happy.   See paragraph above.   They hung beautiful new doors in my living room!  My large screen TV is now mounted on the wall.  I have recessed cam lighting, and they hung my wonderful new dining room fan/light.  The contractor and helpers were trustworthy, friendly, and knowledgeable.  I even felt comfortable leaving the house a couple of times and providing the contractor with my door key so he could close up when he finished for the day.  They had to pull up my new carpet (3 months old) to complete my job.  My carpet was stored safely at their warehouse.  They reinstalled the carpet after putting down new pad.  Then they shampooed my carpet.   They re-filled my antic with new blown insulation that had to be removed when my old ceiling was taken down.  They helped to move my heavier pieces of furniture, too.   Can I say again, I am very happy with  the results.

  • It was an overall good experience as far and service. Product too expensive; now years later we have come to realize that it is not very good quality like we were promised. The installers were sloppy and the carpet did not take long to ripple. The grout in the tile started to crack and fall out. We have some mold under the linoleum in the corners where water has seeped through. I understand it is years later, and nothing lasts forever; however these problems started approximately 3-4 years after install. We contacted the store and asked this to be repaired and they stated it was "out of the warranty time frame" We will not be shopping there again. It is time for us to replace all the flooring, and we will be going to another business that has much better reviews.

  • We were practically attacked when we walked in the door.  They followed us around just waiting for a bite like a shark.  That is bothersome.  But if you have a question they are very knowledgeable.  They are professional almost to a fault.  I love the selection they do have, but they try to talk you into everything.  If you are buying a TV, like we did; they try to talk you into the surround sound, DVD, VCR, couch, tables and everything else you can imagine that would go with an entertainment center.  We did fall for the surround sound, DVD, TV stand and all high quality cables to hook it all up.  We could have bought the other stuff at Walmart for much less!!!

  • The people we worked with were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and concerns. They have a very good display of various wood floors and finishes in there showroom. We are very satisfied with the results.

  • Terrible first impression and experience. My husband and I walked into the shop early Saturday morning and there was only one sales guy there, talking on the phone behind a desk. After waiting 25 minutes while he remained on the phone, we finally walked out. At one point, I walked over to the desk and he looked at me, but continued his conversation. We decided that was lousy customer service and since he didn't care about us, he wasn't worth the wait.

  • Because of the amount of carpet being laid, it had to be done in two days.  The first installation day went very well. William was the installer and was amazing!  He showed me exactly where seams would be and made sure I was OK with it.  He spent the entire day there and was never seemed in a hurry to get the job done.  I felt his main concern was to do a great job...which he did.  I honestly can't find the seams!  The second day was a complete different experience.  A different installer came that day.  He was unfriendly and in a hurry and snapped at me when I expressed concern over one of the seams. He was placing it in a very visible place and William had told me it would be in a less visible place.  I was very uncomfortable the second day of installation.  After he left I was shocked at what a horrible job he did.  The seam was very noticeable plus he had pieced it together!  The minute you walked into the entry your eyes were drawn to the seams! The stairs looked raggy and looked unfinished. Not acceptable!  I called RC Willey and they were wonderful.  They sent someone right out to look at it and he agreed it was not acceptable.  He had more carpet ordered and sent William out to redo the previous job.  Now I love my new carpet and would definitely recommend RC Willey.  Their customer service is great!  I truly felt they were there to please their customers.

  • Apparently my bonus room over the garage (and attached to the master bedroom) did not have a completely level transition across the threshold.  The original carpet installers didn't do the job right and the carpet buckled.  The first repair service I hired didn't do the job right and the carpet buckled again.  Gene actually did the job right.  He filled and smoothed the gap before re-stretching the carpet.  Result: no more buckle.  Gene did a quality job while the others did a rush job that wouldn't last.

Gene was knowledgeable and explained every aspect of his repair (and what was done wrong previously).  I can't recommend him highly enough.

  • We wanted to match the carpet on the main level so our needs were very specific. Abbey Carpet of Ogden was the 3rd carpet store we visited. We explained what we were looking for and the salesman took us to a couple of samples that were a near perfect match. We chose the higher quality carpet along with top quality padding and placed the order. The carpet was on sale from the mill for an added bonus. From the initial visit to the completed job Abbey Carpet of Ogden was excellent with one exception - wall damage. The installers damaged the walls in 10 places just days after the professional painters finished. I contacted Abbey Carpet about the damage and they said that was normal. I don't agree - it was sloppiness on the part of the installers. We like the quality of the carpet and the installation but caution others to "normal damage" during installation.

  • I loved Masters! Their customer service was awesome. I had looked all over the place trying to find flooring for my basement laundry room. I love the look of wood, but didn't want to risk water damage. They were so helpful in finding me the perfect solution for the perfect price. They called around to the manufacturers to get the price down to what I needed it to be. They ended up saving me hundreds of $$ and got me the look and product I needed on a budget, plus had their professional installers give us advice on how to install (even though they weren't getting paid for install-we did it on our own) Thanks so much we love the floor!!

  • The customer service, the responsiveness was excellent. The service lady came right out and her schedule is flexible. I tried another company that was not willing to work around my schedule but Carpet Giant has come in the evening and the saleslady has given me her cell phone number.
