    DANCING MOOSE MONTESSORI SCHOOL
Dancing Moose provides my daughter with a nurturing and challenging environment to learn and grow. She has been there since she was 2 yrs old and will be moving to their Kindergarten class in the Fall. The teachers and staff are friendly and attentive.Additionally, you get secure access to the school and snacks/lunch prepared on site. They have a wonderful garden on site.

    ALL ABOUT KIDS PRESCHOOL
It was hard to pick a daycare for our first child. We were overwhelmed and didn't really know what to look for. We initially toured this center because it was close to my work (University of Utah) and the cost was very reasonable. I got a great feeling from the director and the child care providers, most of whom had been there for years. I liked that they didn't just babysit but also taught the children. They have fun themes when they are learning about new things and really strive to get and keep the parents involved. My son has really thrived there and loves it. They have a private kindergarten there as well, and we have enrolled him in that. It is all day kindergarten, and when class is over he has built in after school care! My only complaint is the turn-over in teachers, although this is not a huge problem. Most of the teachers are long-time employees who have been there for years. But a few teaching positions seem to rotate a lot. It is hard on kids to have new people come and go, but it's understandable that pre-school teachers are typically college students or young people who are not looking for long-term jobs. Regardless, they always seem to hire very caring people who are good with children.

    DANCING MOOSE MONTESSORI SCHOOL
I love Dancing Moose. But more importantly, my son loves Dancing Moose (hereby referred to as and quot;DMand quot;). He has been enrolled at DM for almost two years now, and he still loves going every single day. His teachers are wonderful and are constantly giving me updates on his progress, as well as what activities they do throughout the week. I was referred to DM by a co-worker, and I always refer people to DM because of my experiences. I have another co-worker who did not have such a great experience here, mostly due to one of the staff members, and has since withdrawn her child, but my personal experiences have all been great. One disappointing situation was when they moved one of his two teachers to another class right in the middle of the school year because the other class needed more help/attention than my son's class did. That was REALLY upsetting to my husband and I, not to mention my son, because he truly loved this teacher. She (Ms. Shannon) was so caring, always went out of her way to make the children smile, and gave us updates daily on the fun things he did/said. When she was asked to move to the other class, our hearts sank. I wish they wouldn't do that right in the middle of the school year, as it can be so disruptive to a bunch of 3-5 year-olds. Additionally, the cost is QUITE high, especially for the standard hours (8:30-3:30). Then having to pay additional amounts to have them stay until I'm done with work just gets worse and worse. I'm not sure how people can afford to have more than one child attend, to be honest! That said, I'm willing to pay the high cost of DM because of how much my son enjoys this school, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone interested. I just wish they'd lower the costs each year instead of increasing....

    WASATCH PRESBYTERIAN PRESCHOOL
Our daughter attended the preschool for 1 year before entering kindergarten and we were very happy with her development and the quality of the teachers. Although not required, parents are encouraged to participate in activities such as spring break carnival, fundraiser, Christmas program, and many others. We highly recommend this place.

    DANCING MOOSE MONTESSORI SCHOOL
I think they are fabulous; the teachers are great and they interact well with the kids. They are also very activity based with their curricular. They have a chef that makes the meals and they are worth all of the money that I pay them per month.

    DANCING MOOSE MONTESSORI SCHOOL
My 3 year old has been attending this school for the last 6 months and we are all so very happy with it! He was going to a "school" that was more of a daycare before with much less structure and opportunity for growth and development, although we still liked that place too. He goes 5 days a week and the price is comparable to other places, but you get SO MUCH MORE. Because it's a Montessori they concentrate on the child learning at his/her own pace and the activities they offer compliment this perfectly. The student teacher ratio is very low and it definitely makes a huge difference - his teachers noticed he knew all his letters and sounds and decided one day to see if he was ready to read. And I couldn't believe it - but he WAS. There is no pushing him into it, it's something he enjoys doing and was obviously ready for. Talk about some attentive teachers! Not all kids in his class are reading! Go Montessori! Besides the classroom "work" they have an entirely separate gym for yoga, Tae Kwon Do and lots of other fun activities. Not to mention the nice playground outside. They often have activities in the very large hallway too. Plenty of exercise! During the summer they offer the kids field trips to the zoo, dinosaur museum etc, and parents get to volunteer to help too! The food is also great - very sensitive to allergies, etc. and they are constantly changing up the curriculum. The staff is wonderful. I often see the owners on site and the school Director is wonderful as well. But is my son really happy? YES! He doesn't generally acclimate to change very easily and after ONE WEEK of going half days he was asking if he could go to his new school and was genuinely excited to go. Much different from the last place and he is always so excited to show me what he worked on for the day. Oh and did I mention the lessons? They have a very thorough schedule that parents take home every month about what they are learning that week, from sea animals to Van Gogh to our world......great diversity! What was important to me is that he enjoys his school, has fun and stays stimulated and I think they do a WONDERFUL job of making that happen for him. There's more to school than memorizing facts and Dancing Moose exemplifies a much higher level of education AND fun starting at a very young age.

    St Paul's Christian Preschool
The teachers are very loving and very caring. They are friendly and amazing. They are good with the children. I like them for the fact that they are in close proximity to my house and their price. It is $725 for a full-time infant care. I am up for six weeks now.

    The Deerwood Academy
After jumping from daycare to daycare and running into issues where they talk the talk but didn't walk the walk, we found Children't Lighthouse and since day 1, we only have good things to say. Everyone there is happy to work there, they greet you, they enjoy kids, they engage and teach. My son runs out of the car into the school in the mornings because he can't wait to start his day and play. Highly recommended.

    Bright Beginnings Child Care Center
NOT WELL!! The director needs to look for another profession. My kids went there for a few years. She would only say hello to me when I would say hello to her. Most of the teachers there were great. They all acted like they were miserable though. We had one bad situation with a certain teacher with my usually very respectful son. Anyone that meets his always comments on how well behaved and his loving nature. The one teacher in question was not nice to him and would always yell at him. She was rude and singled him out. He started to get a attitude with her. Which was being delt with at home. All the other teachers loved my son. But this teacher singled him out and made it a point to hurt his feelings. My son was kicked out. Which blows me away. He just would get snappy with her. There were other children there I saw several times that were physically abusive to other children including mine. My daughter had a rock thrown at her head by 1 child that was very abusive to many children. He was allowed to stay. I would say this is a racial thing but I can not prove it. But its crazy how respectful my son was and how well behaved he is and he get attitude with one teacher and she is gone. days cares need to understand attitude is not putting people at risk. When dealing with kids you will get attitude. If you can not deal with attitude from a kid then maybe you are in the wrong business. If you are poor the director does not want to converse with you and she will also single you out. The only time in the 2 years my children went there she would say hello was when I would say it to her. And that felt like a forced wow do I really need to talk to you hello. You defiantly get the vibe she does not want you there. The morning person was late several times. The place did have a bad smell to it at times. The back yard play area is on the side of dangerous.
