Appliance Repair reviews in Murray

  • Abdul from AA quickly diagnosed the problem as a design error in Samsung refrigerators that causes the cooling fan near the coolant tubes to become covered in ice and stop turning, thus stopping the cooling of the refrigerator portion of the unit. He suggested that I simply turn off the our freezer/fridge for a day to let the ice melt. He would return ASAP to properly insulate the fan from the coolant tubes. Upon return, he made the need alteration and the refrigerator came back to life and works like charm!

  • I had a huge freezer in my basement full of about $1000 in meat and frozen food that just stopped working at 5:55pm. I called Appliance Man 5 minutes before they closed and begged to have one delivered to my house tonight before everything melted and went bad. They were here at my house in 35 minutes!! They got the whole thing installed and set up for me without one complaint. No one has customer service like that anymore. I will definitely be buying all my future appliances from them! Seriously, with that kind of customer service, and the money they saved me, I will be naming my next pet after them. Come here "Appliance Man." It has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?!

  • The technician made a house visit, disassembled our dryer, cleaned the interior thoroughly and cleaned/repaired/replaced the rear bearing (I can't remember which), and put it back together. His service was super friendly and very straightforward. He even took a quick look at our fridge while he was here, made a small adjustment, and offered a valuable recommendation. I really appreciated his time. His responsiveness was understandably a little delayed, as at the time of our issue he was running a one-man show.

  • It went perfectly. Clint was responsive, punctual and professional. Clearly, he knew what he was doing. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Luckily for me, it was not a serious problem but even if it had been, I would have been completely comfortable having the Vacuum Doctor due the work, Clint is honest, hard working, capable and likable.

  • They were able to come over the same day i called. Josh was amazing and performed a very thorough troubleshoot. Unfortunately the repair was going to cost almost as much as we paid for the washer and was not worth it. He was very knowledgable and gave us some great information in what to look for in our next washer. Hopefully we will never need their services again but in the event we do, we will definitely give them a call

  • He couldn't get the screws off the burner cartridge so he mentioned that he could drill the screws out but couldn't guarantee that the unit would still function if he finished. I told him not to continue (I would rather buy a new one than him make this one non - functioning) so he stopped working on it. He was at my home for 15 minutes and charged me 65.00 for the service call even though he didn't do anything. I would give them an overall 'F' but I don't know what kind of work they really do. He shouldn't have charged me 65.00 for nothing though!

  • When the Samsung washer I purchased from a big box store was recalled because of serious safety concerns less than a year after I had purchased it, I decided that I wanted to replace it with a washer that was dependable and made in the USA. Speed Queen is the only brand that is still manufactured in the USA. The Speed Queen washer I purchased has a full 5 year warranty on parts and labor, 15 year transmission warranty, and limited lifetime warranty on the drain tub and steel washbasket. The Appliance Man salesman I spoke with was professional, friendly, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about this and other brands of washing machines on the market. All interactions with the staff and management at Appliance Man were very positive. My new washing machine was delivered quickly. The discharge hose that came with the machine was not a good fit for the laundry room in my condo--no problem-- the serviceman (who as it turned out was the owner) contacted Speed Queen to find a better solution. He returned on the same day and installed the appropriate hose for my setup. The installation was completed quickly. The old washing machine and all packing materials were hauled away and my laundry room was left in good order. My 4 star rating on price was given because there was an additional $75 charge for delivery and removal of the old washer. Most, if not all, big box stores include delivery and removal in their pricing. This was not a deal breaker for me because I trusted and wanted to support this locally-owned business who also services the appliances it sells. I love my new washer and I highly recommend Appliance Man to others considering a major appliance purchase or repair to their current appliances.

  • They were very good, they did a good job. He was in and out, he fixed it. There were no problems. I thought the price was a little high, but that is what they get. He knew what he was doing. He was right on time and was professional.

  • There was one mishap during the service visit from Action Appliance to my house, but overall, the service was very good. I called Action Appliance right at closing time on Thursday to set up an appointment to get my washing machine fixed. They were able to set up an appointment for Saturday afternoon with a two hour arrival window. The service technician showed up on time and got right to work. He quickly determined that a water valve needed to be replaced. This model of valve isn't common, so he left to get the replacement part. Unfortunately, upon his return, we found a small flood on the linoleum floor. Luckily, this being a basement room with a drain in the floor, the water could be removed without too much trouble. So, he quickly addressed the source of the problem and I grabbed towel-rags and a mop and moved everything out of the bathroom that was on the floor. Then he quickly got to pushing the water down the drain. This room wasn't big enough for two people with the washer in the middle of the room, so I left him to take care of things. I checked back later and the water was gone, a fan was blowing to help things dry, and the tech was working on the washer. Turns out, he hadn't turned off the water supply all the way before he left and it leaked. When he finished, he came and got me and reviewed everything he did to clear out the water, get everything dry, and fix the leak. I wanted to hear what he did to fix the washer, but he kept going on about the leak and the flood -- obviously, he was a little embarrassed at what had happened -- but once we got past that, he told me what he fixed and that the rest of the washer looked like it was in good condition. I've washed four loads in it since and it has worked perfectly. And there haven't been any leaks.

  • Well, we got it fixed but it was an interesting experience. First the guy showed up asking about our refrigerator. He was a subcontractor who was not told the accurate information. Then he left to go get a part. When we got the receipt we asked for an itemized list to see what was labor and what was parts. He could not do that? Weird. It was a funky experience and I would not use again.
