Quite well, although I'm not sure about whether I have glaucoma or not. Dr. Benator was more concerned about my cataracts and need for cataract surgery.

    Mount Ogden Eye Center
As usual, I had just a short wait at the front desk to check in and present my insurance card. The office staff was friendly. After another short wait, I was escorted to an exam room where a technician did the usual tests of my eyesight. Next, eye drops were administrated, there was a wait while my pupils dilated. Then the opthalmologist examined my eyes, and determined that my close-up vision was fuzzy because my eyesight has actually improved, so my eyeglass prescription needed to be tweaked. That took care of the problem. Both opthalmologists and optometrists work at this facility. Since my insurance will pay for either, I always request an opthalmologist, since I do have small cataracts which at some point will need to be removed. The only reason I didn't give this place a perfect rating is because on this visit, the doctor didn't even mention my cataracts during or after the exam. When I asked him about them, he acknowledged that I had them but they didn't need treatment at this point.

    Hoopes Vision
He did the best job possible under the weird circumstances of my condition / situation. I appreciated his candor and his concern for safety, etc., and his ability to just spell things out directly for me to make good decisions. I wish I hadn't done the mono-vision, but I'm not a normal patient ... and maybe if I hadnt done it then I would be frustrated that I couldn't see my phone at all, either. Its a coin toss for me on that one. He did a good job, he was great during surgery (really great to work with), and I appreciate him. He works at both the Murray and the Sandy offices for Hoopes.

    Masihdas, Dr. David
He is wonderful. He is amazing. He always takes time to sit and talk and I don't feel rushed at all and he is very very thorough. He helped us out with some issues with my daughter. I highly recommend him.

    Masihdas, Dr. David
I love him. He is very thorough. He takes the time to talk to me. My husband had lasik surgery when it was fairly new. Dr. Masihdas would not let him have it until they had fairly fine-tuned it. Therefore, I think he gives good advice. He does not just do procedures to make money. He makes sure that the procedure is fully developed before he lets us do it. Of course, it could have been, we are assisted but Dr. Masihdas advised against it. His staff is pretty friendly.

    Alta View Eye Care Center
Overall the exam went well. But the eye doctor is not a specialist and wanted to use a very expensive machine to test for cataracts and glaucoma. When I went to a specialist, he said that my eyes tested normal and that I did not need advanced testing.

    Hoopes Vision
Not all the info, I don't have the energy, lol. It went very well. My wife had the same surgery from Hoopes  and we can see again. Extremely easy surgery, you feel nothing and it's over very quickly. They do one eye at a time at like a two week time difference. It was very good indeed and I'd use them again in an instant. Wonderful staff, nurses and Doctors - John/Dr. Irene S. Gardner

    Brian R. Davis, MD
My first appointment seemed ok. The staff was great! But, the doctor was hurried and didn't take the time to find out what my needs were before he wrote the prescription. I had never ordered glasses before and didn't realize how custom the process should be for each patient's needs. When the glasses arrived, I wasn't sure they were right, but was told they would take some getting used to. So I tried them for a while. After deciding they weren't working for me, I returned and was treated very well. Another doctor examined me, adjusted my prescription slightly (I don't consider this the first doctor's fault, as to me it seems very difficult to make the selection between views to get the proper prescription), and then made sure we were ordering the new lenses to meet my particular needs. So, even though the first lenses were off, the situation was rectified quickly, professionally, and completely. For this reason I give an A grade, while splitting the difference between A and D grades on Bedside Manner and Communication between the two doctors/visits.

They are well known in the valley for their Lasik procedures. They are professional, experienced, and thorough. They have made me wait a number of times, but everything else is an A.
