    Jeff Richardson
When I decided to hire Jeff, he already had a job in the same week. Jeff accommodated my needs by painting my kitchen in the evenings. He laid out the plan and came on time every evening. The communication with him is very open and clear. He did the job very efficiently and neatly. I will definitely recommend him. I have another painting job for him myself.

Wonderful! Nate listened to our ideas and gave us some options we hadn't considered. He did an excellent job. Very professional and kept the area clean and organized throughout the process. We felt comfortable having him in our house while we were in and out. Would recommend him to anyone!!

It was a very positive experience with no delays or unanticipated issues.  I remembered a positive experience with WW 20 years ago, went there in late Spring this year and started the process.  The cost of the walllpaper was fair (my room is big and I chose wall paper in the mid-high range), the service from Cindy at WW was really perfect and went smoothly.  The wallpaper contractor, let's call him Robert, doesn't work for WW, but was recommended by them.  He came & measured and we agreed on a price, then set a date in June.  He called a week later and said he had a cancellation in mid May, so we said sure.  Robert was clean, meticulous, punctual and pleasant.  I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true, but I was impressed.  My dining room looks better than I had imagined.  He wasn't cheap, but I wasn't looking for cheap. I recommend Wallpaper Warehouse.

    Stearn Painting
The contract called for completion by August 15.  They called on the rainy Monday, August 3, asking if they could power wash that day.  Jed arrived and introduced Nick and Mike.  They moved furniture on the patio so they could power wash along the carport. Water got into a plug for the freezer so they hooked up a cord to another plug.  The next day the plug was dry so they plugged the freezer in again. They started painting on Tuesday, August 4.   I asked that they not work  in the front on Thursday morning because I had company.  Nick arranged his schedule to work in other areas that day.  They did not work Friday because of rain.  Nick worked Saturday and came back on Tuesday the 11th to finish the house and fence.  They cleaned up well.   Jed picked up his ladders and tools on August 12 and met me to pay by check.  He left me the remainder of the white house paint and fence stain. Nick was exceptional to work with.  He would knock on the door each morning to let me know his plans for the day so I could put the dogs inside in their crates.  He spotted an area on the tar and gravel roof that might need repairs and suggested I call a roofing company at least by next year.  At the end of the day he would also knock to let me know what he had done, ask me to review the work, and tell me he was leaving for the day. I would definitely use Stearn Painting for any future painting projects.

They were helpful in getting the correct paper after they ordered the wrong kind the first time. They honored a discount in which they first said was expired, but they called to other stores and found out the discount was still going.

Kristine didn't even show up for our first appointment. I'd left work early to meet her at the spot, but when I called she was busy with kids. Her services are very expensive, even just for accent walls. The worst part is that the wallpaper falls off the walls and she won't return your calls or texts. She pretended to know how to hang a textured design which I showed her before I even ordered it. Less than 24 hours after hanging, it had warped, bubbled, and started to fall. I have to hire someone else to fix it (possibly have to buy the paper all over again). She also seems to operate off the books—I asked for a receipt/invoice for insurance purposes, but never got one. She has zero integrity and (as another reviewer also posted to HomeAdvisor), she will block your number instead of finishing the job she was already paid to do.

We hired KC because he was prompt answering calls, has 40 years of experience and talked a good game.  We hired him to paint the window frames (just the outer frame, not the inner window casing) to match our walls.  The goal, as explained to KC was to match the wall paint to just the outer frame around the windows, leaving the inner casing original.  He was also to paint all wood trim, doors and a bathroom cabinet.  KC was not shy about demanding 50% down payment with 50% after the work was complete.  No problem, he was a little aggressive about it, but okay, I would want to get paid also.  On his last day, he made sure to let me know that he would be finished that day and needed to get paid.  Again, no problem.  I was at a doctors appointment when he finished, earlier than expected, and he told my wife that he was going to wait in the driveway until I got home to write him a check.  I was starting to think he didn't trust me to pay him.  I planned to go Christmas shopping after my appointment but rushed home instead to pay KC.  Here is where I made my mistake.  I didn't do a walk through with KC to make sure the job was done properly.  I wanted to pay him and finish my shopping as I was leaving that night for a work trip.  My mistake.  It turns out KC got paint all over the casings, over paint from his brush.  He also placed some paint cans on the brand new carpet, getting paint on it.  When my wife called him (I was on an airplane) he was defensive about it.  He came over, reluctantly, the next day, complaining all the while that he was supposed to be on another job, and took a look at what my wife was concerned about.  He denied getting the paint on the carpet but cleaned most of it up as best he could anyway, b******* all the while.  He then told my wife, and later me, that 1/8 of an inch of over paint onto another surface was acceptable in the painting industry.  He told me the same thing.  He didn't seem to care that it wasn't acceptable to us, the people who paid him.  Bottom line, he did a poor job of everything but cashing the checks I wrote.  Those were deposited in about ten minutes.  Give him a miss.

This painter was highly recommended to me by my real estate agent.  I called and asked for an estimate to paint the porch on my house and to perform various repairs and painting tasks.  The provider's son visited my house, examined the tasks, and said he would call with the estimate.  He never called.  When I mentioned this to my real estate agent, he called the provider and within a few days, the provider called me.  His first comment was "Have you given up on us completely?"  I told him I would still like to have the estimate.  He gave me a quote of $2600 which I told him was significantly more than I thought it should cost.  He said he would get together with his son and get back to me.  He has never called back. I completed the painting and repairs myself.   I consider this provider unresponsive and would not use him, recommend him, or accept recommendations from my real estate agent for this type of service again.  I don't object to the quoted  price as much as the failure to communicate in a timely manner.  If he was over extended and did not wish to take on this tasking, I would prefer that he just say so.
