Howard Stosich Piano Tuning and Repairs
Howard is very thorough and meticulous in his work. he not only tunes but he cleans and restores the finish and fixes scratches etc. I even remember him coming back to a client’s house to help in an emergency when he was almost 70 miles away. he is devoted to his clients. He has been doing this for forty years. I have an old 1906 upright grand that he restored when he was just starting. It was literally in pieces on the floor of my father’s furniture repair shop. It not only has gone thorough 30 years of my daughter’s playing, but all of her children. I have always been amazed at the looks of the piano and the beautiful sound of it. You can always depend on Howard’s excellent work.

    Baldassin Pianos
Our baby grand hadn't been tuned in a few years, so I did a little digging into licensed piano tuners in my area, coming across Baldassin Pianos. A scheduler took my name and number and within hours the tuner, Dennis, called me back. He set up an appointment for about 2 weeks later. The morning of the appointment, he called as a reminder. He came right on time and went straight to work, vacuuming the dust out (using our vacuum with attachments), tightening screws, repairing a key that was stuck, and then doing the tuning. All told, it took two hours. Dennis was very professional and punctual and did nice work on my very cherished 40-year-old piano. He also recommended the and quot;100,000 mile overhauland quot;: filing the worn felt on the hammers (should be rounded, but they're and quot;Vand quot; shaped - he said replacing them altogether would cost thousands), voicing, doing a clean and lube, and and quot;replacing all the mechanical partsand quot;. He said that this has probably never been done and would greatly improve the sound quality. The catch is that it takes 8 hours and costs $650, but I appreciated the recommendation since I wasn't even aware that such a thing existed. Overall, I highly recommend Baldassin Piano for tuning!

Bret Hart Piano Tuner & Music
Bret finished the tuning in about an hour. Thanks to Bret's detailed work, our piano sounded much better. We also found out he is an amazing musician. He and my daughter even played some duet improvisations after tuning was done. What a surprise!

Bret Hart Piano Tuner & Music
Bret has always been right on time. Great at what he does. Clearly he knows pianos and how to care for them and make the sound the absolute best. On his first visit, he fixed many little things at no additional charge. This time he tuned the piano and fixed a key that had quit playing. His prices are VERY reasonable and over he's a pleasure to work with.

He was one of several tuners I called. I told them all it has been at least 20 years since this piano has been tuned and he gave me the lowest quote by $30. He arrived right on time and got right to work after introducing himself. When he finished he called us over and told us how bad of shape the piano had been in. He was honest and said it's not perfectly in tune it'll need a few more adjustments in about 6months and then again after that for about 4 times. The strings have been out of tune so long they've gotten use to being that way so they need to be retaught but he said it's a great little piano and after those few tunings it'll be in good shape again. Then he spent the next few minutes giving a piano lesson just because he wanted to. He charged me less than he quoted and the piano (although still slightly off though I have good ears) sounds so much better! It sounded so horribly off before that I couldn't even stand to play it. He did a great job!
