    Superior Water & Air Inc
The techs were friendly and knowledgeable. They explained what needed to be done and why. They fixed the problem. Again, I am pleased with the service. Superior's service holds up to the company name.

    Flood Pros of Utah
Terrible! They charge $120 service fee to come out to your house. They spent 15 minutes and told me I needed to dry out my walls. Duh - for $120? They gouge customers with their price for fan rentals. Told me they would come back the next day to get the fans. Did not come until 2 days later and charged me for the extra days. Very dishonest. After calling to complain, the person I talked to was rude and very unresponsive. Find another company! Do not use Flood Pros!

    Stallion Plumbing & Drains
Beware of Stallion Plumbing. If they damage your house, they will not you pay for it.  On 7/29/2015, Stallion Plumbing did some
repair work in a rental unit I own, plus they installed a hot water heater with a new 2 inch high drip pan so it was up to code. The Air conditioner/heating unit is next to the hot water heater.  When the plumber completed the job, he placed the drip tube of the A/C on the 2 inch high drip pan.  Because it was elevated 2 inches abovethe A/C water outlet, the A/C water dripped down into basement bedroom causing $1,338.38 damage.  The bill for Stallion Plumbing?s job was $1410.00.  The Stallion plumber knew exactly what he did and immediately came over and stopped the leaking water into the basement by appropriately positioning the water hose outlet.  A second Stallion plumber was sent out to see if the first Stallion plumber was at fault for the water
damage. Stallion Plumber 2 told me, ?I would have done the same thing.  We are not air conditioning experts.?  After many phone calls the Stallion owner refused to talk with me, not even once. He told his secretary to tell me another employee would handle theclaim.
I finally had to contact theirinsurance company   It took 2 months of working with theirinsurance and my insurance to settle the claim. Stallion gave me about $800 towards the damage on October 5.   My insurance paid $200, so it cost me all that I paid to Stallion, plus another $300.00 to repair the damage they did to my home.  So if Stallion Plumbing floodsyour house, just expect it will be a fight.  According to them, they are not air conditioning experts. Stay away and save yourself a lot of money and headaches.

    Electric Rooter Drain & Sewer
At  the recommendation of a plumber I had Electric Rooter in about a year ago to clean a floor drain.  After hearing stories of flooding disasters from friends, I called Electric Rooter to come ensure my mains to the street were completely clear.  I have two mains that meet in the front of the house and then out to the street.  I was happy with their work, and would definitely hire them in the future and recommend them.  My one complaint is around timeliness.  I was scheduled for the 8:30-10am window.  At 10am I had heard nothing so I called them.  They had gotten stuck on a difficult morning job, so we rescheduled for the afternoon 2-4pm window and that worked out.  I would have appreciated it if they had called me in the morning to update me rather than my having to call them.  I could have planned out my day better.

    Pibi Tile Inc
They did a pretty good job and we are doing an outside plaster replacement.  I just bought the house and I did not know where the pipe actually went.  So I could not tell them where the pipe is.  But we eventually found it and got it replaced.  They seem to be very knowledgeable and professional.  It did not cost me more than the $99 deal.  Whatever I paid for through Angie?s List is the one that I spent.  They showed up and did the work and left.

There were several other businesses that I had the same deal for the same price.  It was a good job.  They were pretty responsive.  I was at work so someone else dealt with them at home but they did a good job.  He was very professional and on time.

I called Smedley's office at 9:45am and explained the situation with the clogged drain, and Smedley's said they would have a Plumber at the house between 3pm and 5pm.  The Plumber arrived at 3:45pm and cleared the drain, cleaned up after himself and left by 4:25pm.  Smedley's Plumber showed up on time as promised and completed the job successfully and was very professional.  I will definitely use them again.

    Plumbing Plus
The drain pipe in my kitchen became blocked with ice during the cold snap we had in January.  Most of the places I called gave answers along the lines of, "Hunh, drain pipes normally don't freeze" which was not much help.  Plumbing Plus agreed to at least come out and take a look.  The plumber showed up, assessed the situation, and ran a snake down to the block, but was ultimately unable to help (he did spend about an hour at least trying).  We ended up cutting the siding off the outside of the house and using the heating cords designed to prevent pipes from freezing.  After about 12 hours, drainage was restored.
Plumbing Plus was helpful, friendly, and professional.  And I'm sure if this was a "normal" plumbing problem they would have done a fine job.  But $138 (after the Angie's List discount) to tell me "Yup, it's blocked" seemed like a bit much.

    Robert W Speirs Plumbing Inc
I had scheduled the 8am-12 service window and Jarmey called at 7:30 to ask if 8am would work.  It did and he was there promptly at 8.  Got straight to work on the valves which took about 45 minutes.  I asked if he could also replace a wax ring on a toilet that seemed to be leaking.  He was able to without a problem and did it very efficiently in just 15 minutes.  At this point I was delighted with all that in an hours work.  The parts were $110 (the PRV was 87 of that).  But then the bill said 1.75 hours which he said included his travel time from the shop.  I thought that was odd, since he had called 30 minutes before arriving, so I guess I'll assume his shop is somewhere like Ogden (not Kaysville which is 25 minutes on slow roads) and he called me on the way.  A peculiar ending to an otherwise good experience.
New Update: The following day the office called to correct the billing and refunded 1/4 hour of the time, saying their policy was to bill no more than 30 min travel time.

After a bad experience with another company, I carefully reviewed Angie's List for recommendations, called about 8 of the best-rated plumbers, about two-thirds returned my call, of the ones I spoke to, a couple would not guess at the cost of a faucet replacement on the phone, only with a visit (with mandatory dispatch fee). Two were willing to both share what they thought it would cost, and come without any dispatch fee. Shawn Hall was the one I decided on based on availability. Shawn (himself) came right on time, finished in less time than expected, was helpful in answering questions and making recommendations and was able to do even more than I expected (changing the valve, checking faucet) within that first hour that the faucet job alone was likely to take. I asked for several of his cards to share with neighbors and would recommend and call him back in an instant. It was a terrific experience and I couldn't be more delighted.
