AThey are professional, responsive, always courteous and do a great job in repair and maintenance. They are extremely knowledgeable about automobiles. Their prices are very reasonable and we trust them. If you purchase tires from them, they will fix flats and do rotations for free. They take appointments for service, but are willing to help if there is an emergency and you don't have an appointment. We recommend Benson's highly.- Gayden C.

AThey have good service. Very professional, very knowledgeable. They are really good about keeping appointments. If I need a loaner car, they will provide all that. One particular time, I was coming up for service, that there was a particular part in their inventory that they needed to use that was broken and they called me and said "hey we cant use this particular equipment because its cracked" I said "fine" I was in a loaner car and told them to do what they got to do.- Mae B.

I was told by a dealership that it would cost $2000.00 to repair my air conditioner. I was told by another company to take it to Mike at Stuerhk's. I am so glad I did. He recharged to unit and it's working perfectly. He told me that it may leak again, and if he had to take it all apart and repair it, it would likely cost $1800-$2000, but with the car having 185,000 miles in it, he wouldn't recommend it. I truly appreciate a company that puts integrity above profit.- Tammy H. -
AI was told by a dealership that it would cost between $1200.00-$1800.00 to replace the shocks on this truck. When I decided to get a second opinion, Benson's told me that I could get Monroe shocks that would be almost as good as the original shocks. This truck has almost 200,000 miles on it and I didn't want to spend a fortune on it. They did the job for under $300.00 and my truck feels fantastic. They got me in within a few days of my initial call and had the job done quickly with an eye for quality.- Tammy H.

Aapprox 15 years ago I found Bart's. I had a transmission issue - or so I thought. I do minor repair work on my car, but for the big items, I take it to professionals. as a single woman, I went to Bart's knowing that a woman walking into a car repair place by herself was not a good idea. some mechanics would just try to rip a woman off simply because she's a woman. not at Bart's. my approx 16-yr old car didn't have a transmission problem and Bart told me that. he could have easily charged me $700 or more, but he didn't do that. whatever was done didn't cost much, and my car worked great for several more years until I bought another car. what I walked away with when I left Bart's Transmission all those years ago and every time since was a sense of "there really are good mechanics and good people out there". I returned there after that with other vehicles, and they were always fair and did good work. I am so thankful for Bart, his wife Dianna, and their mechanics! sadly, I've had to move a few hundred miles away, and I don't get to take my car to them any more. I wanted to write a review, because good mechanics and good vehicle repair places are hard to find, and there is only one Bart's Transmissions. I highly recommend Bart's for any car issue.- Lisa W.

CThe car is 15 years old so it is going to need a lot of service. They are close. I don't know whether they are doing a good job or not but they keep the car running. After they fix it, it stays fixed. I can get an appointment very easily and quickly, the problem is that I have in the past had them call me back and say that in fixing A, they have discovered B and then I call a little later that in fixing B, they discovered C. In December I ended up with that sort of thing until it had reached $7000 which was probably too much to put in the car but I was too busy at work to go shopping around for a new car in holiday time. So I am very unhappy with what they charged but on the other hand given that the car is 15 years old, maybe that is more than I can expect. I have never had a car that lasted more than 10 years before. When I go in, I always have to wait a long time, however if it becomes too long, they let me have a free loaner. They are professionals. They are really good at persuading me when I need something else.- James R.

DI don't believe my brakes needed replacing, they were replaced in 12/2013 (10 months earlier). I did have a problem with shaking when I put on the brakes and asked them to look at it when I left it for an oil change. (I am embarrassed that I forgot I had brakes changed in 12/2013 - I changed jobs, moved twice, got married and lost a loved one in the past year or so). When I discovered my old receipt in earlier December after I had my battery changed there, I contacted my old mechanic that I used to live close to (who also gave a warranty on the brakes that I could have used, they also charged a good bit less). He felt it was unlikely that I needed new brakes, and if I did it would have only been the front ones. He says as the brakes were relatively new he would have referred me back to where I got them. I confronted the owner of Protech the last week of December and they did not recall the situation but said they would not have changed the brakes if they weren't needed, and the problem was not them - it would have been the other company. I asked why they wouldn't refer me as the brakes were relativey new - he said "there is no way to tell".
I suppose it is possible that I needed all 4 brakes replaced after just 10 months, but due to the price charged for a battery change, a recommendation my husband got for work that wasn't needed (and he didn't do), and a horrific experience another friend told me (she no longer goes to them), I tend to think I was taken advantage of.
I also noticed that they did not note the miles on the vehicle at time of service, I think this is poor business practices.

DIt went fine, except for the outrageous price. When I asked why it cost so much they said they had to test the electrical system of the alternator and starter to make sure that wasn't what killed the battery. When I questioned further, they said they were blamed by a prior customer because this type of issue was the cause of their battery problems so now they feel they have to do it. I think they should ask customers and inform them of this additional cost....almost $200 to change a battery is outrageous.
I had another experience with them which I will share in another review.

CThe technicians working on the vehicle were very polite and let me know that there would be a wait for my oil change. They offered to repair chips in my windshield by using my insurance, but I had this done before and saw no real change in the chip. The oil change was done in the time the technician stated that would take and this was satisfactory to me. The car wash however, did take a very long time, which is somewhat understandable due to the sheer volume of customers in the area, but what was not acceptable, was the Car Wash. This, and every time I have gone to this particular facility, my vehicle is never cleaned on the inside, even though I pay to have it done, and there is still dirt on the outside. I have never left there without having to ask them to go back and do what I had paid for in the first place, and therefore I have to wait longer. I live very near to this location, but even with coupons they send, I still do not go there any more due to the service I received.

AThe team here was excellent. They did an oil change and car wash within my lunch hour and the staff was very friendly and courteous. My vehicle was clean and the oil change was done much more satisfactorily and I received more of a clean for the same price as other facilities I have used in the past. The inside waiting area was clean and relaxing. They even had massage chairs for a dollar while you wait. I will be going there again, for sure!
