    TaskList Tackler
EXCELLENT! Living a little bit in the country, most contractors are suddenly too busy to drive here for work...but not Keith. He has been here multiple times and I have not been disappointed when he left my home at the end of the day. Efficient, professional, fair priced and trustworthy. He's the ONLY person I'd hire for additional work. I can't give specific pricing because the work was done as I got my to-do list together.

Touch up paint get ready I have read the review and none of that happened. I have got more pictures I asked him to touch up paint I have paint for the baseboards and windowsills he said he took off all face plates and wash them which did not happen I have got stuff he deliberately did not paint or white down he milked the clock this job was beyond his expertise and instead of telling me it was he did a crappy job left white paint all over my baseboards from painting the wall didnt finish painting the walls like I said the pics are below now they are threatening with the mechanics lien because I refuse to pay for the crappy service he provided ive never had a problem paying anyone but I refuse to pay for crappy service for stuff that was not done like I asked there was air-conditioning and there was lights on at all times so most of everything he responded to you was a lie in my last review here are more pics of the crappy job he did I provided the paint for the baseboards and windowsills he didnt even bother doing it plus he tried to steal my blinds that was taken down off the windows I had to stop him and make him take them out of his car They were brand new blinds that I had put up in my rent house he also tried to steal all my plastic hangers out of the closet and left the metal hangers I had to ask for those too

Touch up paint. He did not do what I asked he left paint on the baseboards I provided the paint he didnt even bother painting baseboards he just well I have pics I had to hire someone that charge me double what he did to come in and do what he was supposed to do in the first place he acted like he was working real hard when I was there but obviously milk the clock because when he was done It was clear he did not pay attention to his work after I left as much as he did while I was there I have pics and that will prove it

    LAY PAINTING CO
It was outstanding. He was very professional as far as being up fron- he told me what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost. He ended up doing more work than originally planned and didn't raise the price.

    Xact Restorations LLC
As the work proceeded, Mr. Ruth presented invoices at intervals and each was promptly paid in full. The last work was completed in October 2016 but Mr. Ruth did not provide a final invoice. We contacted him five times (four documented e-mails/texts and one phone call) in January and February of 2017 to request his final invoice. Apart from one reply indicating the paperwork would be available soon, there were no other responses. During this time our property was placed on the market, an offer was accepted and a closing date was set for mid-March. On the morning of the closing we received an e-mail from Mr. Ruth shortly after the signing had been completed. This e-mail provided the final invoice wed requested and notification of a materialmans lien Mr. Ruth intended to file against our property if we didnt pay his bill in full by an early afternoon deadline. Over the course of a long series of e-mails during the day, Mr. Ruth tried to incorporate the cost of filing the lien ($500) and his attorney costs into our total, threatened to increase the invoice amount by several thousand dollars for additional work he hadnt previously included and later demanded a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent us from disparaging him and his company. When asked why he was filing a lien instead of simply providing the final invoice we'd repeatedly requested, Mr. Ruth wrote that he didnt like our attitude and disposition over the past few months. We made contact with our lawyer at that point and set up an escrow to pay the invoice from our proceeds so the closing could complete. Mr. Ruth reiterated his threat to increase our invoice total over the ensuing days and occasionally returned to the NDA after we told him via our attorney there would be no such agreement. One week later this matter was still not resolved, so we terminated the relationship with our lawyer and hired new counsel. On the same day we received notice from Mr. Ruths lawyer indicating that he was now being represented. Our new attorney addressed this situation quickly and decisively, and within three days arrangements were made for us to pay only the original amount on the invoice from the escrow. Mr. Ruth was also advised that we no longer owed him money and any future attempts to charge us for the additional work would result in a deeper investigation of his business practices.

    The Affordable Handyman
AVOID this "affordable" handyman. Price gouged senior citizen $200 plus materials ($38) to caulk roof flashing above ONE bay window. Then REFUSED to honor advertised 10% off discount for senior citizens saying his ONLY employee was working on his own not for company. Telephoned The Affordable Handyman, Jack Collins on Friday after noticing suspected leak in ceiling edge over kitchen table and chairs. Jack said he was booked up through October (at which time he is moving his business to Corpus Christi), but had his employee call about an hour later. I explained we had a suspected roof leak affecting our ceiling above our kitchen table and set up a 10AM appointment the next morning on Saturday. Gabriel Ward showed up on time, but with just one very old 4 foot wooden ladder to look at ceiling water damage. Surprisingly he brought absolutely NO OTHER NECESSARY TOOLS OF TRADE. I supplied the obviously needed outdoor ladder, caulking gun, cleanup towels AND was left later to do all the cleanup of gummy caulking all over ladder and caulking gun. Gabriel Ward told me it would cost $200 to do the necessary work (plus I buy the materials). With so much rain the previous day and possibly more later that day, I felt we had no choice. Couldn't believe afterwards how little he did for what he charged and NO SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT. Caulking appearance on flashing afterwards couldn't look less professional. As seen on the pictures I provided, uneven globs of caulk along entire edges of roof flashing; embarrassing appearance on our nice house! Of course I will have to hire a PROFESSIONAL roofer to undo their job this week. Called Jack Collins to come by house later on Saturday to take a look at the work done; he was obviously not impressed and pointed out some areas that Gabriel Ward missed and said he'd mention them to him. Texted and emailed (Angie's List) Jack the next day, Sunday, to ask him why I was charged so much for so little and asked for the 10% senior citizen discount he advertised. Jack told me his employee acted on his own and didnt represent his company. Gabriel Ward told me he would return 15% of what he charged me and come smooth out the caulking job but has subsequently refused to do so. I will never use The "Affordable" Handyman again. Beware Corpus Christi--he's moving your way!

    817 Home DRs LLC
when new countertop was installed, bottom row of tiles had to be removed in order to complete installation.  I called Brian to install the tiles.  He came immediately and completed the work swiftly and beautifully.
This was not the first time I had used 817 House Dr...I had previously had them come to repair the soffit on the outside of the house, among other odds and ends.
Overall I am very pleased with their work.

    Home Improvement By William
Was Looking for someone to do small jobs which is not easy to find. Contacted Mr. Baldwin and he scheduled me right away. The scheduled day he contacted me to ask if we could move to following day as he was held up on another job. This was no issue for me and I was thrilled he was kind enough to ask if this would be ok. Mr. Baldwin arrived and completed the jobs much faster than I expected, and everything is perfect!

The experience with them was excellent.  They are just really innovative.  You give them your idea and they can do it.  They are young guys in their thirties.  They are easy to deal with and they are good guys.  They did a great job for us.  They were affordable.  The owner is also a man of many traits.  He might answer you in a different voice when you call.
