    Kingway Automoative LLC
The original estimate given by another auto repair place was approximately  $700.00 to replace the carburetor on our 1988 Toyota pickup. Kingway found that the problem was a dirty carburetor and repaired it for $50.00.  This does not even include the extra cost incurred for additional gasoline required because they had temporarily "fixed" the problem by increasing the idle speed to approximately 35 mph.  We used the vehicle for three months because we were trying to save enough money to have the work done.  We were so happy we took the advice of a friend to go to Kingway because he is a Christian that believes in giving the best possible service.

    HACKLER TRANSMISSIONS
The folks were friendly and accommodating, however the end results weren't so good.  There were two significant problems. First was the custom torque converter.  I had specified that I wanted a stall speed of approximately 3200 rpm and even supplied them a dyno sheet from my engine so that they would know exactly how much torque the engine made and how strong they'd have to build the converter to hold it.  As delivered, it wasn't even close.  The stall speed was well above 4000 rpm which made the car un-drivable unless I treated it like there were raw eggs underneath the gas pedal.  When I took it back to them, at first they wanted to argue but when I demonstrated to the tech how I could hold the car with the brakes and take the engine to almost 5000 rpm before it would overcome the brakes and start spinning the tires -anyway-, they had to pay attention.  They rebuilt the converter at no charge, but I still had to pay for removal/replacement of the transmission.   Less than a year later, the transmission let go completely. It rolled the intermediate sprag clutch and burned up all the frictions.  Again, I had specified that I wanted all heavy duty parts and clutches on the initial build (and provided them with the dyno sheet) so there should have been no misunderstanding about how much power the car produced and how much power the transmission would have to be capable of handling.  I found a different shop (Jake's Transmission in Sanger, TX) who went through the transmission and did it right.  The car has been trouble-free since.  At the time Jake did the work, he also discovered that the torque-converter housing had only been spot-welded to the mounting plate in a few places instead of full perimeter welded as it should have been for a car that makes this much power.  I'm not necessarily all that unhappy with Hackler, I've just come to the conclusion that building transmissions for real performance cars must be something outside of their realm of expertise.  For 'run of the mill' daily drivers I'm sure they're fine.

    Mac Churchill Acura
Their service department has always been great. I bought my car there and I have used them for years. I don’t know that I will buy another Acura but their service department is really good. They do their work well and they are very friendly and do their best to accommodate whatever I need.

    A PREMIER AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES
I like everything. We got a fast quote. It was more than $5 of the quote. They had it repaired pretty quickly. Everything that they said they would do, they did in a timely manner. They are just friendly and fast. They have been real accurate with their estimate.

    JIFFY LUBE
I showed up in my company vehicle for an oil change, just as I do every 3000 miles. I had secured the appropriate approvals from ARI, the fleet management company that we use, and I was ready to get my oil change and leave. I was approached by the on duty manager/supervisor do give him a coupon. When I explained to him that is not how we handle our stuff and that he need to call ARI. He proceeded to argue with me about how he was going to touch the truck and I had to have a coupon. Once I explained that I have a fleet of about 20 other vehicles that I manage and for the last 8 years we have never used coupons, he then asked for their number to give them a call. Once on the phone they explain everything was pre-authorized and gave him the go ahead to conduct the oil change. Once the oil change and air filter was changed a gentlemen drove the truck to the front and handed me the keys. I asked if he needed anything else and he replied "no you are good to go". I then proceed to take off, when all of the sudden someone was yelling at me. I stop to see the manager in the parking lot throwing up his arms. I then backed up to see what was going on. He slammed the door open and went inside the store. I walked in and asked what the problem was, and he stated that I could not just leave without signing the ticket. I was completely unaware as the other employee told me I was good to go. He had a really bad attitude towards me the entire time. I will no longer do business of any kind, either company or personal. I would advise going some where else.

    DURANT TOYOTA
They have excellent service. They are very honest. They tell you exactly what they are going to do, what it would cost, and they stay with that. When it is over, they go over what they did and their final price. I totally trust them.

    Texas Motors Ford
IT WAS THE SAME THING ANOTHER FORD DEALERSHIP, SOUTHWEST FORD, SAID NEEDED TO BE FIXED.  WE HAD A 3RD SHOP, AN INDEPENDENT SHOP, LOOK AT OUR PROBLEM AND WERE TOLD ONE OF THE FIXES BOTH FORD DEASLERS SAID NEEDED FIXING WAS WORKING OK.  THE 3RD SHOP VERIFIED WHAT THE 2 DEALERSHIPS SAID ABOUT THE OTHER FIX NEEDED.  SO WE WENT WITH THE INDEPENDENT SHOP FOR ABOUT 1/4TH OF WHAT OUR BILL WOULD HAVE BEEN WITH THE DEALERSHIPS.  IN THE PAST WE'VE DONE BUSINESS WITH BOTH DEALERS AND WERE HAPPY.  NOW....?????

Mediocre service & missed a transmission leak that almost ruined my vehicle. Even I could see there was a leak & informed them of it, but they couldn't find it. Took vehicle to another company where they found & repaired the leak in less than a day. Don't use this dealership if you don't have to.

    Firestone Complete Auto Care
Was told by an automotive dealership (Moritz Kia) that my tire had a nail in the sidewall and needed to be replaced. Dealership did not have tire in stock. Left dealership and made an appointment with Firestone who had had the tire the same day. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I was told that no nail was found and a small screw was removed from tread but did not puncture tire.
They returned my vehicle without replacing the tire and without charging me for a service I did not need.
Their honesty and focus on customer service has earned them a loyal customer. The service department at Moritz Kia has on the other hand lost a customer permanently.

    Christian Brothers Automotive-Granbury
We were having issues with our VW Passat and feel that it is always hard to find a mechanic that does quality work and is trustworthy. We decided to try Christian Brothers and it seems to have been a good choice. We took the car in and dropped it off in the afternoon of the 1/24 and were told that they would probably not get to the car that day. With that being said, they called first thing in the morning of 1/25 with their findings and a quote for the work. Once I gave them the go ahead they had the car ready to go by that afternoon. Besides the fact that they charge $150.00 diagnostic fee, we were very pleased with the service, professionalism, and promptness of their service.
