I called and spoke with Kevin directly about the work I needed done. He swung by that day to look at the job and sent me a quote soon after. He and his men showed up at the agreed time, moved all the patio furniture for us, and got to work. They removed the loose bricks and began mixing the new mortar to match the color of what is original to the house. Once fully removed and cleaned, they re-bricked the chimney. After completing this phase of the work, they cleaned everything up exceptionally well and put back all our patio furniture in its place. Since chimney caps have to be custom ordered so that they'll fit properly, once the crew finished setting the brick they ordered the cap and it was delivered and installed the very next day by more of Kevin's crew. Overall, I was super pleased with the work Kevin and his masonry team did. I will definitely hire them again for any and all of my masonry needs.

Re-leveling the brick patio went extremely well, and I was pleased with the job he did to install the all new walkway. He was quick and efficient. His price was reasonable. Kevin and his crew got the job done in 2 days. When Kevin had questions about the installation, he asked me before proceeding. He cares about the work he does.

My tenant contacted me giving notice that she had driven her new truck through my retaining wall.  Needless to say, the Toyota Tundra faired better than the wall.  I immediately looked at Angie's List for a referral.  Kevin's name was at the top.  Called him.  Gave him the low down.  The next day, Mrs. Byrd emailed me an estimate.  I called Kevin and told him the price was very fair, but that my tenant would not have her funds available until the next month.  That was no problem.  He had me call him as soon as I was ready.  After the funds were made available, he informed me it would be about a 2 week wait.  Not bad for Tyler.  We are having a construction boom right now.  Two days later he called notifying me that he would squeeze me in the next morning.  He had the forethought to ask me to notify my tenant so that she could have truck out of the way.  The following day Kevin text messaged me pictures of the completed work.  His wife promptly thereafter returned the required w9 and funds were released.  The whole process was seamless.  I never had to be on site, never had to meet with Kevin.  Everything was handled for me.  100% satisfaction.

They started the job on August 12th.   They had to build a scaffold around the chimney and put down tarps to protect the skylights on the roof and to protect the shrubbery adjacent to the house/chimney.  There was a fairly large amount of damaged brick that was cut out and replaced with good brick.  The workmanship was very good and you cannot even see where the brick was replaced.   They were very good about cleaning up and picking up any pieces of brick that had fallen in the lawn.  They then had to wait at least 30 days for the mortar to cure and for the brick to be completely dry before applying a sealant to the entire chimney.  The job was completed Sept. 23, 2014.  I was very pleased with their work and would certainly recommend them.

Kevin came by and looked at the problem areas.  His wife emailed me the free estimate.  Kevin and his coworker covered the floor inside my house with plastic before starting the repair inside the chimney.  They both worked to remove the old crumbling down firebox.  Kevin then replaced the firebox with new brick and mortar while his coworker worked outside to replace the cleanout door. Before Kevin left, he made sure that I knew and understood how long we needed to wait before lighting a fire and that the first several needed to be small.  When they left my chimney looked wonderful and "clean' and all of the debris was carried off.  I would use and recommend Kevin Byrd for future jobs.

He cut out the rows on both sides that needed to be redone, cleaned the brick and relaid so the mantle was lowered as specified. He didn't lose any brick and did a great job. He even matched the existing mortar color almost exactly.  Sure I found a cheaper bid, but sometimes you get what you pay for.  Next I'm thinking outdoor fireplace.

Got a bid  and approved it.  The company was at my house every day they could work.  Only days not there were weather days.  Always prompt.  Brick fences look great and immaculate clean up.  Would highly recommend

From the first time I spoke with Kevin I was impressed with his professional attitude.  Although the repair at my house wasn't large, he acted as though it were as important as any major job.  The repair was done in a very timely manner and the cost was very reasonable.  I would definitely use Kevin again and I will recommend to anyone needing any kind of brick work.

Kevin and his crew did an excellent job. It took them about 2 days.  I was so very pleased with the outcome.  His crew were knowledgeable, worked quickly, answered all my questions, and were very friendly. There was no mess to clean up when the job was done, and they put caution tape up temporarily to keep people from walking on the pathway until it set.  I plan to use Keven again to re-point brick on my new/used house and to lay a brick pathway.  Great mason!
