  • Very professional. Excellent job. He was not the lowest quote but I was confident in the service he described and knowledge of knowing what I needed done. I was not disappointed in paying slightly more for his service. I would definitely recommend JY Handyman and will use him again.

  • Overall I was very pleased with the work done.  We had some horrific 3D wallpaper combined with textured walls in several rooms of our house--- Freddy's skimmed over all of that to give us beautiful flat walls.  You would never guess what's underneath them with the work that they did.  They also removed wallpaper from our kitchen and painted in addition to painting several other rooms.  The job was done quickly and the estimate that Silvia gave was almost dead on.  There were a couple drips on the floor that I had to clean up, but luckily we don't have carpet in the rooms that were painted.  The work crew was very punctual and professional AND the work was done for almost half the estimate we got from another area company.  Would definitely hire them again.

  • The price was a little better than $3000. He did a pretty good job, but I wasn?t real pleased with him. He came out with his crew and I always got to choose the one I wanted and he picked up on it. He came out and I had to buy part of the paint, but it did not matter. They took the wallpaper which was alright and I did find some areas where they dropped things on the cabinet and caused a leak in the bathroom. The biggest problem I had was when I removed the covers and the paint got on the wires and they also put the light fixture that they had taken down from the bathroom and wired it back wrong. It almost caused a fire in the house because it short and the wires burned and instead of calling us and telling us what happened, he called my husband and said that they light wouldn?t work. My husband told him that the light was working when we were there and asked him to figure out what they did wrong. My husband went out there and called an electrician that he knew from another job and had him redo the wiring and that was about $200. He was also probably going to tear out the light fixture from the wall and redo the wiring and they got into an argument and the electrician huffed off and we did not authorize any of that. We were not happy with that and we found another electrician that came out and charged us hardly anything to fix it. There was a crack in the ceiling that they were supposed to fix from a little bit of sediment or something and we noticed that the doors were not done right. They redid that and I also noticed a week after they finished that the cracks in the ceiling were coming back. We called them to come back out and he was going to come back that next Saturday, but my husband was a little late getting there. My husband called and left him a message that if they did not come back and fix it that we were going to have someone else fix it and charge them. He called me and left me a really ugly voice mail in my office that my husband left him a threatening message. My husband was 5 minutes late and he did not call us or wait there, but just left his card there on the fence and left the house. He never called my husband or me and just did not want to finish the work or follow-up. He was going to totally remove the wallpaper that my husband thought he should. I hated that we went with this company because the other company that I liked came in about $1000 less. They were going to provide all the paint and remove the wallpaper. His attitude was weird and we did not appreciate it at all. We also thought that his price was high and we did not appreciate them putting the light fixture on wrong. When I was cleaning one of my parent?s bathrooms, which has the marble sinks and I found some dings on the marble. I felt that they were a very bad choice. They collected the money upfront and protected everything quite well, but there was paint and stuff on the wood floor that I had to get out when I went to clean. They asked for oil based enamel and we bought it and when he put it on it was streaked to heck and it looked awful. We told him that we would not pay him till he did it right and he borrowed the sander because it was there and we had all over our house. There was sand dust all over and I had a lot of clean up to do and I was lucky that the house was empty. We took all the curtains down and all they had to do was to take the curtain rods down and put them back up, which they said they would do. They did not do that and also lost parts and I had to go buy the parts to put the curtains back up. We would not recommend them to anybody. The other thing was that they left live wires in my parents? house and the electrician got angry with them and we had to call our realtor to tell her not to have anybody show the house we did not want somebody to go there and turn on a switch and get electrocuted.
