    Siding replacement, windows, doors

I knew that I had water damage in my 1982 Montrose home when I purchased it back in 2013, but I did not know exactly how much. For various reasons and other project priorities, I put off the renovations to the outside of my home until earlier this year. I started doing research on siding in February/March and had at least 8 different siding companies come out and quote the siding replacement job. Most of them quoted hardie plank siding and some quoted vinyl. It wasn't until Richard Jones with Texas Home Exteriors came out that I learned about LP Smart Siding. Richard immediately made me feel at ease with his knowledge and professionalism. He walked me around my home and pointed out the problem areas that were causing the leaks and thoroughly explained, with drawings, how these issues would be fixed. He showed me some videos comparing hardie plank and LP smart siding and highlighted that the material was stronger and lighter, yet the same price as hardie plank. He gave me a quote for the job and said that it was different than the other guys in that their quote was all-inclusive. This meant that in addition to the normal scope of work all studwork would be included; meaning, that if they found any rotten wood during the project, they would replace it. This was in stark contrast to all of the other vendors who quoted time and materials for the same work. With that guarantee, fair market pricing, and positive vibes from my meeting with Richard, I decided to sign a contract. The job began a few weeks after I signed the contract and it was clear that this job was going to be more difficult than most. There was a lot more water damage and rotten wood than was initially anticipated. We had the historic Memorial Day flooding and subsequent rains. The initial crew that started the job ran into some issues and on top of all of that Richard fell ill. Needless to say, my house sat idle for a couple of weeks without any work being done to it. I was not the happiest customer. As Richard was out, I called up Greg Kapitan to get a status on the project and to get an idea of when work would commence again. Greg apologized profusely for the delay and gave me his guarantee that he would personally take care of it and make sure that things got back on track. A few days later, Greg came to my home with a new crew and the same knowledge, professionalism, and positive energy that Richard displayed. He walked the crew leader Miguel and I through the home and highlighted what needed to be done and how to do it. He assured me that things would get back on track and that all would be taken care of. He promised me that I would get the positive experience that all other Texas Home Exteriors customers get. Greg not only kept his promise, but went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure that he kept his word! Miguel and his AMAZING crew worked long and exhausting days in the brutal Houston summer heat. They not only replaced my siding and sealed my home, but also replaced some doors and windows that I purchased to compensate for the delay! I cannot say enough good things about Texas Home Exteriors, Greg, Richard, Miguel, and his crew. They turned around what could have been a very bad experience and made it into an extremely positive one! They did such a fantastic job that I feel like my home and the entire process should have been documented and featured on some sort of TV home renovation show! I would 110% recommend Texas Home Exteriors to anyone looking for a PROFESSIONAL, QUALITY, and THOROUGH home renovation service provider that sticks to their word!
