"I originally received a phone call at the end of 2014, but with everything going on I had asked if they could call back in the new year. As promised, they called" back in the new year and remembered how polite they were and decided to give them a shot. Going into the sales pitch, I was thinking right off the bat I was going to end up saying "no." However, after hearing all of the "pros" and how much we were going to receive in county, state and federal grant's the impossible all of sudden seemed possible. The cost was no longer an issue, the energy bill reduction, along with selling back something called "SREC's" all helped my decision into going with long lasting
. The installation process was very impressive as the work was done almost immediately, while being done in sub zero weather. The
Staff took care of almost all of the paperwork and helped me get the signatures on the right paperwork for the grant process. It seems overwhelming, but the staff stayed by my side the entire way with the occasional phone call to make sure the process is still on track. I also got to speak to the owner who also seemed very personable and reassured me of the great business who was providing me this green energy. Lastly, I plan on buying even more solar panels next year for the back of my house and will not think twice about who I will call to install them. Great job and thank you for your professional attitude and tireless work ethic!

"They mad the process so
and easy I was very happy. I can tell you I was skeptical at first but I am a true believer that this company delivers" a quality product and they work to make sure your satisfied.

8 tips for finding the best solar panel installer

One highly rated provider shares eight tips to help you find the best solar panel installer for your home and get the best return on your investment.

3 types of solar panels: pros and cons

Are you confused about how solar panels work? Manufacturers produce three general types of panels, with variances that affect efficiency and performance. Find out how the three types differ, and which might work best.

Connecting your residential solar power to the utility grid comes with advantages, but for some homeowners a stand-alone solar system is a better fit.

When selecting a solar panel installer, it’s important to know the efficiency of the panels that will be used in your system. Cheaply made solar panels do not give homeowners as high a return on investment. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Thomas B. of Las Vegas)

Getting a solar panel system is a big decision … and so is choosing which company will install it for you.

Thinking of installing solar panels? Here are some payment options to consider.

There are many high pressure solar companies out there pushing a solar lease and homeowners may not fully understand what they are getting into, says Burnett. (Photo courtesy of SolarCraft)

Leasing solar panels may sound like a nice way to get green energy into your home, but count the cost before you sign that lease instead of buying outright.

Are you talking about powering your home solely on solar (i.e. no back up power source or off grid).

The power, once convered from DC to AC via the inverter, is suitable for use by the home.

Most solar application are in supplement to the current powering of the home and will spin the meter back in the day but are not the primary.

OK - that should strike Atlantic Plumbing off your vendor list !

You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.

Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.

It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.

Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

Solar Panel Installation reviews in Texas City

First let me start by saying I am an electronic engineer. I gave them a deposit of $250.00. They came out and did a "site survey" to confirm that what they saw on Google maps was in fact accurate and that the roof size was exactly as I had drawn up in AutoCad (A commercial drafting program) and converted to a PDF file. Their first proposal was for 15 panels and the "excuse" was for "fire regulations". Not true for a free standing unoccupied structure such as a detached garage. Their next plan was for a 22 panel system. After I reviewed it, it was

to change one row of panels to make a 27 panel system. Just as a point of reference, each panel generates approimately 250 watts of energy. This means adding 5 more panels will generate another 1,250 watts or 1.25kw of power! Finally the sent me their "official" version of my design and asked me to approve it. Okay no problem it was my design. I received a notice that my permits had been approved on february 17, 2015. Today is March 3, 2015 and the "plan" was for them to be on my roof on March 9, 2015. I took vacation time from work so I would be home for the installation. Now, today I get an e--mail telling me that
Texas City Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
has laid off over 100 workers, closed their sales office and would be using some other contractor to complete the work if I accept this change! In addition I was informed that a suggested alternate solar company would do the same job for $1,000.00 less and the same timeframe! As well as being an engineer I am also a buyer and this method of doing business suggests to me that they wait until the last minute to schedule as many jobs as possble to do a bulk buy and mass shipment. This has not been finally resolved yet so I may update this later.

They paid us our

rebate. They refunded money for cutting down our trees and we are taking a close look at the future bills. They have been very good to us. Just misunderstanding with our phone tag.
- Kimberly C.

They are an outstanding company. They did a fantastic job for us installing the solar panals. They still stay in contact with us making sure everything is going okay. They send a gift at the end of each year. They used their own contractors and that was important to us on such a big investment. Stellar customer service all around. They were here right when they said they would be.
- Kris B.

Texas City Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
arrived in a timely fashion, checked out the situation thoroughly including going to the attic area and onto the roof. He then provided us with a verbal list of possibly causes for our problem and addressed each situation. Pricing was not inexpensive but fair for the honest appraisal of the problem. I would highly recommend
Texas City Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
and his company for honest, prompt, and reliable service.

From the sales process through installation through commissioning, exceptional service.
By far the most professional, mannerly & knowledgeable group of tradesmen we have ever had working in our home. In fact every employee we had contact with went above and beyond our expectations.
The sales process was a big improvement of other companies we had received quotations from. No pressure, just the facts to meet our requirement of a zero electricity bill
An example of their customer service, the technicians who came to measure our roof noticed we had some cracked tiles and there were some spares stacked behind the chimney, they replace what tiles they could while measuring the roof.
Their attention to detail is apparent when we compare other solar installations in our neighborhood e.g. not running conduit in the shortest route but in the most unobtrusive route, then to paint the conduit to match the color of the house and to match the color of the roof tiles (for a small length of expose conduit on the roof)
We would have no hesitation in recommending

, a truly painless experience from start to end.

, of

, called me thirty minutes prior to arrival. Arrived on time and started inspecting solar system. He advised that the panels were leaking due to freeze damage. He was able to repair two major leaks until a solution on the panels could be determined (by me).

was professional and was able to answer all of my questions.

Very well, overall. My only complaint is that it took a while to get the system actually installed (and they had a backlog, and delays), but they kept me in the loop, did stuff by the book (with permits and what-not, and my township is a pain to deal with).
I got the Enphase microconverters, and they even set it up so I can look at my generation through a website.
They filled out all the paperwork too.
- karl P.

Getting responses back took from a week to months on questions from the initial estimate to questions and concerning during the project installation process.
The communications and project was drawn out well past a 6 month period which usually, from their project information paperwork, takes an average of around 60 days.
We experienced some major communications and organizational problems throughout the process. This caused us to basically give up, after 4 months, on getting any type of answers and had zero expectations on getting any callbacks or email responses from this company. We did what was needed when works from the company or inspectors arrived on different days dealing with the project really not having expectations.
We do not know the quality of the installation or equipment used at this time since time will tell on that part of the review so we entered N/A.
We did find some type of closer at the end of the project after talking with an officer within the company and a consultant giving us the impression that there were employees working for the company knowledgeable and conveyed honest customer relationship skill-sets.
