    Lone Star Solar Screens
Everything went great. The company usually provides solar screens, full size of the window. I was looking to replace my bug/insect screens, that only go on the bottom half of the window. The agreed to come out leave a quote, since I couldn't be home. The quote was for $200, installed (12 windows). I had a quote from lowe's for custom made screens (which I would install myself). It was $350. I called that day to approve the job. The screens were installed approximately a week later. I appreciate that they were able to do the job w/o my being home. They left an invoice, and I called them w/ my credit card info. to pay. Nice and easy.

    Lone Star Solar Screens
    Workman ship and quality:
    - Prompt for measurement and quote.
    1. - Easy to schedule work.  No need to be home for installation.
    2. - Manufactured and installed in about week.
    3. - Materials of good quality.

    Effective Heat Control
Solved our problem.  Master bed room use to be 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the downstairs on hot sunny days.  Temp in Master bed room now consistent (within 1 degree) rest of downstairs.

    Cost:
    - Quite reasonable.  4 large screen for $200.

    What could have been better:
When installed, the supporting cross bar on the screens face outward and is visible.  My preference is to flip the screen so that cross bar is not visible.  It is not something we talked about during the quote process, but I thought the installer should have notice that is how the old screens being replaced and all the other screens on the back of the house were set up.   I will call to confirm flipping the screens does not effect performance and may flip them over myself later if the mounting holes line up.

Not a huge issue, but one that will be around for 15 years or so.

    Overall rating is A-

    The Energy Savers
Overall it went well. The solar screen was done on the time frame indicated. The installation was quick. I thought the price was a bit high for the one window only, but they explained that the eyebrow on that window made it a bit more complicated hence expensive. I was pleased with the end result, so much so that I decided to do all my windows as well.

    America's Best Inc
The workers were on time for our first meeting.  They measured the windows and said they would be back with the screens that day.  They never came back and I was unable to reach them for several days.  They had a voicemal with no outgoing message and I wasn't even sure if they were getting my messages.  I finally called America's Best to track them down.  Finally AB called me and said my screens were on back order.  Several days later the workers showed up unannounced, during dinner time, but the windows they brought with them still didn't fit right.  It was impossible to communicate with them due to a severe language barrier.  They left for several days and again showed up unannounced to put the screens on.  After they left I realized they two of the screens on the WRONG WINDOWS!!! So frustrating.  Very unprofessional.  Overall a bad experience.  Screens look cheap.

    Turnkey Painting Plus
Bob Dimon came to my house and we went over what needed to be done.  His estimate was very reasonable - one of the lower estimates I received.  Everything went well.  The crew showed up Monday morning as promised.  Rolando Ortiz went over what they were going to do with me and they got started.  They finished up Wednesday except for the screens.  They returned with the repaired screens about a week later.  We had rain during that time and I noticed the water was streaming down in one area.  When they returned the screens, they also cleaned the gutter where I had the problem.  That did the trick.  Overall, they did a very good job.  I will ask Bob for an estimate on the interior when we have that painted.  I would definitely use them again.

    WILLIAM HOWARD'S ALUMINUM and RESCREEN
They weren’t the cheapest, but he did a complete, very fast, and very good job.  Two guys re-screened all the screens for my pool cage and front porch in about 4 hours.  I think that I spent under$1000 and they were the second lowest.  There was another company that was lower, but I liked them because they seemed to assess the job better and more accurately than the company that was doing the lower bid.  I just thought that they would do a better job and they did, they did an excellent job.  There were some safety things that I was a little weary about where they constructed a scaffold, which wasn’t professionally done and I was afraid that it would fall down when they were doing the high screens above the pool.

    Environmental Protech
I paid for the service because it was a house warming gift to my son. When my son bought the house he used Environmental ProTech for installing the original system. So we went with them for cleaning of the salt tank. It wasn’t under warranty. They sounded like a good company and so we had them out for the first time. They did a good job. The workers were knowledgeable. They explained everything to us. My son would use their services again in the future.
