    Purple Care
    1. The company called and made an appointment where I told them wife is disabled and I work during the week and I needed a specific time of arrival, where as the person agreed to call the day before with a time and took my credit card number. 2. I get an email saying we will be there tomorrow that is all. I called the day of the appointment and they denied telling me there would be a call back and gave me a 3 hr window...ok. I could not be there so my wife called me a gave the phone to the foreman (I presume). I gave him instructions and had him repeat them to me. My wife called back and tells me they have been working for an hour on a tree not appointed. I got on the phone but the foreman had gone and spoke to a worker and told him to stop and do the job instructed. They cut the broken limbs and left sections hanging that are very dangerous and left some broken limbs because they used up their time on the other tree that was not requested. They cut limbs for no reason on one side of the pine tree all the way up leaving it bare on one side and leaving a large section of broken branch ready for a fall. No foreman in sight. Very sloppy and unprofessional job. If this is to be expected from Angies List I think I would be better off finding services on my own!

    Frontier Residential Tree Service
What an efficient group of folks. Only took them 40 minutes for something that would have taken a day for me to do. The cost could not be beet. I checked around and Frontier was 50% less than the others.

    Trinity Forest Tree Care Service
I was impressed with the safety procedures they had in place. The man in the tree tied himself to the tree from more than one location using a harness and safety lines. this demonstrated to me that they were professionals. he lowered the offending limb with ropes so it did not fall n the roof when it was cut. He called to the workers below each time he dropped a cut on other parts of the tree for their safety. They cut and stacked the deadfall to my specifications for me to use in my fireplace. twigs and branches were picked up, scraps were raked up and the sidewalk was swept with all debris loaded and taken away with them.

The first few times were excellent. Once the contract was signed services are horrible. When you call to discuss all the missed mows and the quality being horrible and all the missed spots when mowed and the fact they have tore up the fence due to being too lazy to get off mower to open and close fence they use the zero turn mower to push it shut, they accuse you of being difficult and are very rude. Owner then threatens and reminds you of a contract which stated 3 fertilizations over the course of a 6 month period and only received one, as well as stating ALL turf (which to me means all grass) will be mowed and then after decides not to mow the back of the yard except every other time. I have many pictures of the last 3 mows showing the lack of care when mowing. This house belongs to my disabled sister who is unable to do any yard care herself. We cancelled all services at our own home, but he knows this house is operated by a trust and is taking advantage of the fact a disabled lady can not defend herself and the extreme amount of time it takes for a trust account to cancel services.

I purchased this big deal and contacted the company today to get the service scheduled.  They stated that they won't service my area as I'm outside of their service area.  It clearly states that they service Parker County on their Big Deal.  I am in Parker County.  When I asked them about it, they stated they don't travel "that far north" in the county.

    Weatherford Gardens Inc

We weren't able to get started on the project prior to plants getting established for the winter, so decided to postpone until early spring. I wrote David a personal note thanking him for the bid and telling him that we were going to wait until spring. I contacted David around March '14 to pencil us in for the job. I phoned him again in April to let him know that gutters were being installed and as soon as those were completed we'd like to start the landscape project. I really feel that he wanted to do the job at his convenience, not ours. However, when my husband left him a message to contact us asap if he wanted the job, his efforts began. Most all of the estimated work was done on May 6, from about 7a-3p by 2 men. David was here to set the project up w/ about 5-6 men who positioned all the potted plants near their areas. They all left shortly, with the 2 men doing all the planting. We eliminated 1 large plant and David wanted to wait until the end of summer to move some existing plants. All this was done without a contract or any down payment. David stated prior to planting that all the plants were guaranteed for a year.

Its been 6-8 weeks since the landscaping was done. Two black-footed daisies began to die within a week of planting and I phoned Weatherford Gardens after about 3 weeks, wanting to give them a chance to get established before confirming their death.

I spoke w/ David and he said that I could either come by and pick up 2 plants or they could come out and plant them, no mention of a fee involved. I stated that I preferred to have them planted and there was no hurry, just whenever it was convenient, or should we wait a bit and see if any more died to replace at the same time. He said that he would schedule it and call me when they were coming out. Well, on Tues a.m.. this week David called to say he was sending someone out to replace the daisies. A man came out and replaced them in about :10 time. The next day I got a bill for 81.19 for the installation of 2 plants plus tax. Since I had not been informed of any labor fees or service call fees, I was very surprised. After contacting David, he agreed to drop the 81.19 on the new invoice.

I'm very happy with the overall project. The problem with the add on fee could have avoided with a contract or a listing of fees.

The Xtreme,,crew arrived on time as discussed, they were very polite, professional. Did work as requested, a great job. Only complaint is when I ord the 6 hrs for 199, special I wasn't told it was actually 2 hrs for 3 workers. Not a big deal, but was caught a little off guard. I will use Xtreme again.

Jeff came out, excellent fellow, professional, covered all options. He
let me know the processes and how many men on a crew it would take over
how long etc. Friendly and experienced. Wife and I have not had the service done just yet. We were just getting an idea of pricing for when we do have it done. To find reliable , professional contractors where we live is sort of rare, this company is one we will definitely call back for the work.

This treatment was not wanted or ordered. A year ago I worked out a deal with the service tech. comcerning the treatments for my yard. I had just comlpeted soding my yard. I have one acre so it took me a little time to get it all soded. The agreement was if I had the yard aerated and treated for fire ants he would give me a good size discount on the extra footage of the normal treatments ( weed killer, fertilizer etc ). This was a onetime deal, not a lifetime contract Trugreen claims.
