  • Mr. Jenson (hard to call him Dr.) came into the examination room dressed in scrubs and sneakers. He sat down at the end of the table I was sitting on and had me take off my right shoe and sock. He looked closely, moved my foot in a few different positions then said "that's it the perfect natural position for my foot". To achieve this natural position I would need a custom pair (or two) of orthotics from Italy. These orthotics I was told were made using a laser to make a mold of my foot as no two people's feet are exactly the same. When I refused this course of treatment I was advised the next best thing would be to sign up for treatments from the same person that took my x-rays. This treatment would be needed three days a week and billed to my insurance. When I again said no I was offered a final treatment, a prescription cream that I would need to rub onto the sore area... Ultimately what I feel I ended up with was a visit to a slick talking snake oil salesman that viewed me as a confined target for him to sell something in order to pad his office visit charge. It was very interesting when I was driving home to receive a call from Mr. Jenson which I let go to voicemail. Once out of the car I checked the message to find Mr. Jenson calling to say he forgot to address the most important issue I was having, the numbness in my toes... When I got in the house the first call I made was to Aetna my insurance company. I gave a complete description of my complaint and why I felt I should not be held responsible for paying any part of the appointment since no treatment took place. I thought they would address my issue but I was wrong as just before Thanksgiving I received a bill from Mr. Jenson's office for $127.61. Last week I hoped to take care of the bill by calling and addressing my concerns with the offices billing department. I called and spoke to a very nice woman named Kathy who took all of my information and contacted Mr. Jenson for me. Unfortunately Kathy called back today to give me the news that nothing was going to be done to make the situation right and that I would need to pay the amount owed. Hopefully this negative review helps someone looking for a reputable podiatrist to pick someone other than Mr. Jenson.
