  • I was previously a customer several years ago and left because they were not paying attention to my yard and it was not well maintained. I returned a few years later because they hired a highly rated landscaper and I requested her. She does a good job, but the services are overpriced and once again the yard was not being maintained. When you complain or question anything, such as prices, the owner sends rude emails in response.

  • We have used Greengate for over 3 years. The first 2 years we were very pleased with the work and responsiveness. Over the past year, the service has continued to decline and the responsiveness of the owner is almost non-existence. This past year they moved to using a large self-propel mower in our small backyard, thus leaving rut's and tearing up the grass. I spent over $5,000 this summer to regrade and replace the grass in the backyard. At the same time, I informed Keith to no longer enter the backyard and only maintain the front and side yard. I agreed to continue to pay the full price with no objection. Over the past 2 1/2 months, I have to remind Greengate each week to stay out of the backyard with no success. Again the lawnmower has damaged the new sod and created ruts due to the ground being soft due to rain. This Tuesday I happen to be home and again the workers entered the backyard even though I had locked the gate. It should also be noted that we paid Greengate $5,000 this summer to lay a rock and stone pathway. The work completed was shabby at best. After going back and forth over several weeks and an attempt by Greengate to correct. My wife and I had to pull out all the work and re-due the path ourselves. Greengate did not credit or refund any funds. According to Keith, they did a great job. I'm not sure what changed at the company, but for the past year, the service has been sub-par and often they would charge for work that was never completed, such as weed pulling.

  • Lawn guy hasn't shown up for 6 weeks. Multiple calls to Lawn Care. They told me that someone was going and they kept rescheduling. REALLY!!!!! Horrible response. I used them in Florida and had great service. Houston service was AWFUL!!!! Lawn guy was named Bryce. Beware...

  • Did not have enough crew, always behind. Owner was preoccupied . Price was going up, quality of work dimenishing . Office girl appreared to be running the show. Customer service certainly was lacking. Saw a foreman once and never saw him again. Landscaping installs over priced.

  • Danny and his team just finished up their second set of projects for us, including installation of a fire pit, sprinkler work, and planting some new plants and sprucing up the entire yard. They did an excellent job again. We intend to continue using Danny's Landscaping on future projects.

  • TERRIBLE!!! My yard looks worse now than when I initially hired them. I started using both the yard service and the fertilization plan they offered. I fired the yard crew after 6 months but kept the fertilization going. Finally I had to terminate the fertilization also. My yard looks horrible!!! They totally destroyed it. They need to be put out of business fast!

  • They do lawn maintenance, as well as landscaping for us. They show up every week on time and they haul of anything that needs to be hauled off. They do a good job. Nothing I don't like about their services.

  • We're going to have him back out again, once we get things straightened out. It's a big yard. It was very, very reasonable, we ended up giving him more than he asked for because he did so much work, we ended up giving him $300, he only asked us for $240, we were like dude, you're never going to make a living if you don't charge more, he did a lot of work. The responsiveness was really good, my husband did all of the talking. The professionalism was very good.

  • Crew has changed during the time we have used this company, which affects consistency. Reminders to trim shrubs are common. Trimming along the bottom of trees and fences is sloppy and patches of unmowed grass are noticeable. Low attention to detail. Recent application(s) of weed killer has caused dead spots in the lawn. Communication with owner can be frustrating due to unanswered emails. There has been no correspondence regarding the disruption of service due to the hurricane or when service will resume. Considering my options.

  • I've been very very happy with them. I've had them do the tree service that was about $400. I had them do other expensive things like cleaning out the rain gutters. They trim and shape the pants. I give him an A all the way through on all of it. He's on a regular schedule with me.
