    Fantastic. Noticed when I got home from work one evening that the first story of my home was not cool. AC had been on all day, but air temp was 78 degrees. I called Cooling Technicians and Adam came to diagnose the problem the next morning. His troubleshooting was very thorough and the problem was quickly isolated to a faulty compressor. I received a fair quote for the parts and labor, gave the okay, and they were ordered and installed. That was a few weeks ago and I���ve enjoyed ice cold air since and have experienced no problems with the new unit. Adam really knows his stuff and does great work and a quality install. Cooling Technicians installed and upgraded HVAC at two of my office buildings over the past few years and the systems have worked flawlessly. Thanks Adam and the Cooling Technicians team.

    I purchased a 19-point inspection on my AC to try to diagnose an issue where the A/C was not cooling efficiently. The agent, Andrew, arrived at the house within a couple days, good response time. The agent showed me some video of icky stuff in my AC and said he would send a report that evening. That weekend, I called their office and they told me the service department would get back to me on Monday. Nothing. I called them multiple times on Wednesday and Thursday. Finally, on Thursday they sent me a QUOTE to fix the poorly described issues totaling around $8,000. However, I did not get a complete report on the 19-point inspection about what else might be okay or not okay. I called again later and talked to the service manager, who said he would get the report for me. I never heard from them again, and to this day I have not received the report. In the meantime, I called another provider. That provider diagnosed that my coolant levels were low and my A/C unit outside was dirty. He fixed everything for ~$200, and the problems he fixed were not even listed on Absolute Comfort's quote. I don't know if Absolute Comfort found those issues but did not ever send me the report. $200 for a fix that resolved the issue was much better than an $8,000 that didn't seem to include the issues the second company found.

    Our AC couldn't keep up with the upper 90s. Discovered our the 29 year old condenser coil was leaking. Given that the system was using R22 refrigerant, which will no longer be produced after 2020, we decided to heed the recommendation of the technician and replace the entire HVAC system. We called a few different vendors in to compare quotes and have them provide a project scope. The Woodlands Heating and Air Conditioning provided a reasonable price for a project scope that was equivalent to the other vendors. More importantly, the technician who scoped out the project also was able to get the existing system working well enough to get us through until the install date. The install team arrived as expected and immediately got to work. The old system was hauled out and the new system was installed. The did a great job of cleaning up the mess that was the old system--both the compressor area outside and and furnace/condenser in the attic look much better. They cleaned up, packed everything up, made sure I knew how to operate the new fancy thermostat and headed out by 3pm. Even better, they followed up with a visit the following day to adjust dampers after we had the chance to see which rooms need more/less cooling. It's been a long while since I worked with an HVAC company that I felt I could trust. It was refreshing to work with Brian and Omar. I'll be looking forward to their visit in the fall to inspect the system and make sure it's ready for the cooler Houston months.

    I had several A/C companies out to my home and they were all telling me that I needed a new system which I couldn't afford. I thought I was doomed to be in a scorching hot house until I could save up thousands of dollars. I saw an ad for A's A/C which offered me a free service call & decided to give them a call. They came out the same day and did a thorough inspection of my system even took video of the leak they found. I was happily surprised when they said that the leak was repairable, they repaired the unit, added 5 pounds of R 22 refrigerant all in the same day, my family and I were back to sleeping in a cool house once again.

    I had a WONDERFUL experience with this company. I recently purchased a new home and the upstairs AC was not working. Brian provided a prompt estimate that was fairly priced based on my other quotes. He was extremely flexible and patient in helping me schedule a time to install the new unit, and followed up with me the day after service. I definitely will call them again if I have other needs. They were very customer focused, which I expected based upon all the reviews that I read about the company beforehand.

    Our AC was blowing hot on a hot July night. We used Angie���s list to find a vendor. Kingo had a B average rating and called within minutes of the inquiry on Angie���s list. Tech arrived a few hours later, announced a diagnosis before examining the unit. Then did some cursory examination. Recommended a new unit both in and out and gave a detailed bid for $6k+. Called a different vendor later that night. They Came the next morning and performed a $200 repair. Problem solved. HVAC repair is largely about trust. I know longer trust Kingo to be honest/competent.

    Expo Heating & Cooling Inc
    I wanted an honest opinion on the humidity problem my 2-yr old HVAC system was having (too much humidity in the house) and had doubts that I could get that from the company I bought the unit from. Two men showed up on time from Expo to do the service work (45 minutes), and explained that the problem I was having with excessive humidity was a rather expensive hardware problem that should be covered by the original warranty, and recommended I call the original installer soon. I will do so right away.

    Pros: Low price. Cons: You get what you pay for. Did not protect the hardwood floors in my house as he said they would. Did not arrive with all the necessary equipment to properly complete the job. Paperwork indicates the slab the outside unit sits on was replaced. It was not. Many communication problems (no response, slow response, lost my number, etc.) Owner left before job was complete, so his assistant (with a helper) was responsible for finishing-up. I ended up with: the gas vent pipe sticking up out of the roof at an odd angle and a raised flange, resulting in a small leak. When they came back to correct this, the assistant had no problem getting up on my roof, but could not get down as they did not have a ladder. Really? no straps supporting the vent pipe in the attic space (straps are still there, just no longer attached) sections of vent pipe that are not fastened together with screws section of vent pipe jammed against evaporator, crushing outside of vent pipe bizarre hodge-podge of multiple sheet metal sections fashioned into a make-shift connector where the vent pipe attached to the furnace (because they did not have the right connector) support straps on duct box were never reattached to the rafters reused the 12-year-old flexible gas hook-up line (I understand this is an extreme no-no (if anyone can show me in current code where this is allowed I will remove this complaint)) Flexible gas hook-up line passes through an un-grommeted hole in furnace sheet metal and was in contact with bare edge of hole (should be rigid pipe passing through sheet metal openings; flexible hook-up line, if it comes in contact with the sheet metal/edge of opening, will eventually abrade and leak (vibration wear) While most (but not all!) of my concerns were corrected (requiring multiple return visits), he never returned to install a promised drip leg (in the gas line) and I ended-up reattaching the support straps for the duct box myself. I also made sure that the flexible gas hook-up line he replaced is well centered in the hole through which it passes and took steps to prevent any future abrasion/leak. It should be noted, and this is critically important, that if I hadn���t called them on any of this, I���d still be sitting with an incomplete, improperly installed HVAC system. That truly galls me.
