Driveway Gate Installation reviews in Spring

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • We hired Texas Fence Company to remove a 6 ft wood fence and replace it with an 8.5 ft one. They also installed an iron automatic driveway gate and breezeway gate. We had a couple of issues, but with any larger project that should be expected. These concerns were brought to the attention of Trey Burgess, the General Manager. Once he stepped in, every concern was addressed and corrected as promised. I would have no issue recommending Texas Fence Company to any of my family or friends. Thanks again Trey for making this project look absolutely perfect.

  • In 2016, our subdivision needed to upgrade our entry and exit gates. We consulted several companies before choosing Garage & Gate Service Pros to do the work for us. Their price was very competitive, but they were also very professional and responsive to our queries when we required more information. They completed the job as promised and there were no surprises. We have had some maintenance/repair issues for the gates due to the high volume of usage. In most cases, the service is a result of damaged caused by users, but the company is always responsive to our needs. In the few cases where the issue was a result of warranty on the equipment, they have honored the warranty with absolutely no issues. The owner, Ryan, is extremely helpful and professional, and all his technicians are equally professional. They honor the scheduled appointment times. In the latest service appointment, the technician, Ted, worked with us to repair damage to the gate caused by a vehicle. Services were performed promptly and the gate is now working very smoothly. We will continue to use Garage & Gate Service Pros for subdivision gates.

  • After contacting this company about the outrageous charge I was informed I had been overcharged for the part and a check for $173.19 would be sent to me which I did receive. Keith Whitlock said that that the corrected bill of $617.03ould be a fair charge and to contact other companies to verify. I did. I contacted FENCE GEEKS, ALSO ON ANGIE'S LIST. Total charge was 319.00. Thus, I was overcharged by about $298.00. My Social Security check will cover it. I know I will not get my money back. I was partly to blame for not getting a bid, and they took advantage of an old man. My suggestion is to RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. Also read reviews on their website which are not that good either. Hire FENCE GEEKS. Their reviews are outstanding.

  • You decide. I'm a senior citizen who trusts people and companies to do the right thing. It usually works out, but not this time. Here's my story. I contacted this company to be able to use our car's home link system to open our gates. Their employee, Marcello, contacted me promptly. I explained what I needed but he needed it to stop raining to do the work. We agreed I would contact him when it was dry enough to do the work. It keep raining. On August 18, 2016, Marcello showed up unexpectingly saying he was in the neighborhood and could do the work. I was dealing with other important issues at that time so I agreed but failed, again being too trusting, to get the cost. Two hours later he was finished. The gates were programmed to my two car's home link and worked great. Then I got the bill. It was $790.22. It did describe the work done, but no details as the the cost for labor, parts, and sales tax. I was shocked, but paid since I had agreed for him to proceed. I then went online to determine the price of the part which was less than $100.00. Adding sales tax of about $60.00 would total about $160.00. This would leave around $630.00 for two hours of labor. That even more than my overpriced plumber ( no offense intended). I felt the charge was very excessive and contacted the company with no response. I want to make it clear that Marcello did an excellent job and was very professional. No complaints except for the labor charge. My overall rating strikes a balance between the work done and the price. There are a number of companies that can perform this service. Just consider what I've written when making your decision, and of course, get a bid first.

  • Joe came out, but never would send me an estimate. He kept saying he emailed the estimate every time I called, which was many times. This was not a true statement. For some reason he must not have wanted to install a gate for me. I called him so many times. An honest man would have just said he did not want to do it because it was too far for him, or the job was too small. He should have offered an explanation. He did a job for my sister which was very small, so even that would not have made sense to me. He seemed very professional, but this behavior does not display a good business man. I would never consider this company again, nor would I ever recommend them.

  • I am very relieved to have found George through Angie's List. We have discussed the field stone work I would like done in my yard, with river rock and plants. That will be his next project if he isn't too busy.

  • The planning and scheduling for fence and gate replacement was outstanding.  Brian called to provide updates on the start date and he was here on time and did a great job!  His team was professional and after they were complete they made sure everything was back to the way it was and better.  Great Job I would recommend them highly, you will be surprised on the price per linear sq ft

  • Arrived at house within 3 days of calling them. Made bid about one week after inspection and assessment of my request.  After I accepted the bid, put me on a backlog list of about two weeks. Arrived about 9AM on promised day with trailer of materials. Made call a coupe of days before saying he was ready to come out. Brought two other workers with him. Completed the back fence on the same day. Built custom gate the next and repaired the posts on both sides before noon. He had allocated 2 days to do the job. Neighbor wants a bid for back fence as well as a result of their work.

  • The first scheduled appointment with them was on Thursday, but the representative failed to show or call. When rescheduled for the next day, someone did show up but didn't even bother to take measurements. Said someone would call with an estimate. Despite repeat phone calls, they have yet to provide an estimate 2 working days after the visit.

  • We cannot say enough good things about Done Deal Ironworks, their staff and their workmanship!  The refurb they performed on our 30 year old wrought iron fence was a quick turnaround, reasonable price point and good workmanship.  Our sliding gate was a complex install, due to dips and slopes in the driveway.  In the end, the driveway gate was beautiful, matching the original custom wrought iron fencing.  Fabrication and installation took about a month total on the gate, albeit due to the Texas rains.  The staff was always very professional, approachable and responsive.  We were very pleased and have already recommended Done Deal Ironworks to friends.
