  • After dealing with my insurance company and having no response from the recommended repair shop for two and a half weeks, I requested another provider. The insurance company contacted me and advised the new provider (Fibrenew North Houston) would contact me within a few days. Brian responded within 24 hours. We set an appointment and he arrived at the scheduled time and promptly proceeded to repair the leather. I would highly recommend Brian Stevens. His work was thorough and he put me at ease by describing how and what he was planning to do to the damaged leather. The seat now looks like new!!

  • I was in a turmoil because I lost my Grandmothers ring I inherited. I immediately felt very comfortable with his opinion.   He was very professional and knowledgeable, gave me all my options then helped me find the best way to resolve my situation.  And the most cost effective.  Amazing!  Highly recommend him to anyone.

  • We brought 3 different clothes ( 1 poncho  and 2 scarves) for a dry cleaning, they were
all made of wood, the poncho was 100% wool the other were wool blended with
some other materials. When we got our clothes the poncho had shrunk by two third,
    the scarves had shrunk too.
They did not recognized they made any mistake neither they
wanted to hear our complaint. They just said this is not their fault but our
fault because we bought clothes that could shrink. We brought them for dry
cleaning to ensure they would be treated by professionals. How could it be that
3 clothes from different vendors/brand would end shrunk at the same time if
this is not linked with the treatment applied to them? This is a place to avoid
    by all means!!!

  • On 22 July 2014, contacted Louetta Dry Cleaners about dry cleaning a custom-made super-king duvet.  We left the duvet with them and told them a family member would pick it up because we would be out of town.  The duvet hung in our closet in the plastic wrap from the dry cleaners until we returned.  On 7 August 2014, I put the duvet on the bed.  The top layer of fabric had shrunk and the lining hung down at least 2" below the top layer.  I returned the duvet to the cleaners.  The clerk promised to have the manager call me.  Several days went by and there was no contact from the manager.  I called the cleaners again.  After several more days, I finally talked to the manager who suggested that the duvet could be stretched.  Once it had been stretched, my brother and I went to see and measure it.  The original measurements of the duvet at time of purchase were 108" X 96".  We folded the duvet in half and laid it on the floor for measuring.  The top layer of patterned fabric measured 103.5" and the bottom layer measured 105.5".  We folded it the other way and it measured 93".  These measurements were witnessed by the clerk.  The appearance of the fabric was puckered and distorted.  I provide the clerk a copy of the original purchase cost of the duvet and 3 of 5 matching/coordinating pillows that will have to be replaced.  She promised to give it to the manager.  On day 19 of the problem there was still no resolution.  I said I was losing patience and did not want to take this to another level.  I asked when I could pick up a check for $836.56.  The manager talked to the owner who said, "Take it to another level".  The duvet was originally purchased through Bassett Furniture and was in excellent conditioned and had never been to the cleaners.  The original fabric is no longer available.  The amount I'm asking to be compensated for is the original purchase price, not the higher current replacement value.

  • The owner took good care of us when we arrived. My daughter tried on the dress, it was pinned quickly and carefully. You could tell right away that the tailor has done this type of work many times by paying attention to detail. There was also a satin belt with sequence that needed to be attached to the dress and belt loops added. A bustle had to be added as well.

Within a few weeks and a couple of days earlier than planned we received a call to say the dress was ready. So we headed over to KN Alterations. When my daughter put the dress on, it fit like a glove - perfect in every way. The hand stitching on the belt was beautifully done as well as the belt loops added for support. The cups fit perfectly inside the dress along with the corset that was inserted to make sure the dress stayed up. My daughter and I were pleasantly pleased and happy with the alterations that were done on the dress. KN Alterations did a fantastic job. Since then we have brought in several items to have altered and we have been very satisfied with the work and customer service. The women tailors are all very talented and amazing! Thank you KN Alterations for your hard work and craftsmanship!! We will send a picture of the dress when the wedding pictures come in.

  • Every once in a while you'll meet somebody you just like doing business with. Bruce is that kind of a person. I brought my wife's wedding ring in to get it repaired (prongs replaced) and I was very impressed with the job Bruce did. It was excellent work. He was able to get it back to me the next day. He's also just a really nice guy. One can get very concerned leaving valuables with someone you don't know but after talking to him a few minutes I knew he was trustworthy and had a hunch he was good. He had such good reviews on Angie's List I decided to drive across town instead of going somewhere close to my house. He is by appt. only though so make sure to call before you go.

  • We had a very important garment needing alterations. The alterations weren't difficult ones - letting out bodice at sides where there already was enough extra fabric inside seams, shortening sleeves - but the costume itself was very important and absolutely had to be done right. I could only find one tailor within an hour's drive with quite a few consistently high ratings and glowing reviews. Joe and his team did a great job and, although they had promised to have the dress done and delivered 3 days after we brought it in, it was actually done at least a full day ahead of schedule so we were able to get it early for a short notice performance. Clearly, while doing the alterations, they were careful about some costume elements (delicate embroidered designs, stiff panels in the skirt, traditional crocheted collar) that complicate even standard garment adjustments. We are very satisfied and are recommending Quick Fix to our Irish dance friends.

  • When I alerted the clerk to the large tear she called the manager. The clerk then asked if perhaps the hole had been there before. I responded, "No, I am certain it was not there- why would I even bother laundering a shirt with a huge hole in it?" Clerk said shirt needed to be sent back to the plant for inspection and she gave me the manager's phone number. I called the manager two days later to follow-up and during that conversation the manager confirmed that the damage was caused at their plant. I requested a reimbursement and she said she needed to talk to her manager. I never heard back from her so I called back a few days later. I left two messages and have not heard from her since. This all started 1/15/2014 and have called the manager nearly every other day but always have to leave a message. When I couldn't get the manager, I wrote a letter to the owner and dropped it at the store and confirmed 2 days later that he was in the store and received my letter. I also emailed the owner a few days after dropping off the letter and NOTHING! I have used this dry cleaner for nearly 1.5 years and given them a ton of business. Very disappointed because I want to support local businesses, but I will not be returning.

  • I brought in my wedding ring to Haddad Jewelers as one of the diamonds was extremely loose and the band had broken in the back. I had initially taken it to the jeweler that made the rings, but felt their estimate for the work needed was a bit high. I came to Angie's List and found Haddad Jewelers and saw their rave reviews, so I took my rings to them. The estimate they gave me was less than I was given by more than half!! In less than a week I had my rings back, and they looked BETTER than new!! The work they did was amazing and their professionalism was outstanding as well!!! I most definitely recommend them for any jewelry needs and I will certainly go back if any other needs arise!!

  • The suits I had cleaned and the shirts I had laundered were done on time with acceptable quality. Although I am new the the area and don't have an excellent frame of reference, their price was higher than I thought it should have been. From a quality standpoint, I would use them again.
