Hvac Repair reviews in Southlake

    JOE COOL'S COOLING & HEATING
I had used Joe multiple times in the past on numerous properties but was very disappointed in the customer service when things go wrong. A coil was replaced and prior to replacing it no leaks were ever present, after the replacement the coil in the hvac system it throughout the house causing over $1275 in damage. I hate giving negative reviews and ruining a perfect 5.0 rating but I did want the customer service be known when things go wrong that Joe Cool does not attempt to offer suggestions to make it right. Sheri the company manager mentioned that the leak was partially a result of the service of joe cool and The plumbing on the house. Although I was willing to offer suggestions on the $1275 in damage post repair(maybe split the cost of the damage), Sheri mentioned they would not be responsible for secondary damage. Secondary damage is defined as, the damage that can be caused after the initial damage or failure of a not related to a direct repair. Because this was partially in relation to both parties I was willing to work with them with splitting repair cost and avoid this as well as a bbb complaint I will be placing later today. Unfortunately the manager was very defensive and did not allow me to offer suggestions. Sorry Joe Cool you will definitely be on my list of companies to avoid in the future for any and all people looking for service. Service with Joe Cool is good until things go bad. Procede with caution. True customer service shines thru when things go bad.

    Next Gen Air
Wonderful!! We replaced all 3 units in our home. Next Gen had the best prices for top quality equipment. We had three teams of workers show up that morning. They were professional, friendly and knowledgable. From the front office to the installers, everyone at Next Gen Air is personable and lovely. We are so thrilled with the work they did and are looking forward to a long relationship with this company.

    Gregg Air LLC
Our AC went out and the old R22 refrigerant negated the cost / benefit of repairing the old unit. Gregg Air was one of 4 companies that bid on the project and Will was able to come out the same day I called. He sized and priced our system and they installed the next business day. I appreciate the fact that Will did not oversell or try to add on a ton of things that might be nice, but unnecessary for my goal (which was simply replacing the AC and furnace with an equivalent unit). The installers were on time and professional and the new unit is already making our upstairs comfy again. I received a phone call from the manager near the end of the install to make sure all went well (and it did). The new unit is making the house comfy already! Thanks Gregg Air team!

    Reliant Air Conditioning
Bob got here right on time, and was very professional. I told him about an issue we had with the thermost and he immediately began troubleshooting. He verified all the wiring was properly installed and all the settings were correct. He concluded that the thermost was not working and determined it was under warranty. He completed the fall checkup and told me he would place the order for the replacement thermost. 30 minutes after he left, I received a call from Reliant home office to schedule the installation of the new thermost. A very satisfying service call that was well worth the money.

    Faith Heat & Air LLC
Faith heat & air came out the next business day and had the a/c cooling properly in no time. It turned out to just be a loss of power to the condenser. They restored the power, cleaned the coils and checked the unit. The charge was very reasonable. I was able to easily pay on line after receiving a detailed invoice with the detail of the work performed. Faith is trustworthy, reasonable and prompt.

    Faith Heat & Air LLC
We remain extremely satisfied with the availability, professionalism, and commitment that the 2 technicians displayed in quickly diagnosing and offering A number of solutions based on my budgetary constraints. I had called Faith heating and air when the company that I have maintenance contracts for my 3 units over the past 15 years couldn't find a way to work me into their schedule for these 5 days when my system failed during record early heatwavewhere many peoples units failed. Faith heating & Air worked me Into there already jampack schedule--arriving late that same day when no one else could. They were able to quickly diagnose and show me the point of failure, within minutes. We chose to replace the unit because I found their pricing extremely reasonable for a well reviewed, high efficiency unit from Traneand their installation and testing was completed in less than an hour! We heartily recommend Faith Heating &Air To our friends neighbors and anyone else that needs anything to do with heating and air conditioning or proactive annual maintenance

    Gorman Mechanical, Inc.
Its been almost a year, but Im finally doing our review for Gorman Mechanical. We wanted to wait until all the bugs were worked out first and get through all seasons with them before doing a review. We decided to get quotes from (4) different HVAC companies that were certified Trane dealers/installers, including the company that had installed our (3) original Trane units. We had been using that company since we purchased our house in 2005 until 2018. We decided to go with Gorman Mechanical for a few reasons. The first was due to David, the Salesperson, being such a great guy to deal withvery accommodating and trying to get us the best price. We let him know that we had (3) other estimates from other Trane HVAC companies and he talked with Michael and got us a great deal. It was between Gorman and another HVAC company that we really liked a lot as well and would highly recommend them too. It was a very tough decision. The second thing was that Gorman Mechanical offered 24/7 emergency/after-hours service, which we really wanted in a company, especially living in Texas with the weather here. The third thing, and most important for us, was the better warranty and maintenance that we would be getting from Gorman. We always have maintenance done on our units twice a year, (winter/summer), and we were getting a great deal on the maintenance that no other company was offering and a better warranty. Even though we were paying a little more in the beginning, we were coming out ahead within the 5 years. Thats really what put us over the top with Gorman and deciding to go with themso glad we did. We had Gorman install (3) new complete Trane units in our house in June 2018. We purchased (3) of the Trane XV18 TruComfort Variable-Speed Communicating Air Conditioners, the matching XC80 Variable-Speed Furnaces with ComfortLink Communicating Technology and the ComfortLink II XL1050 (TZON 1050) Communicating Programmable Thermostats. These units replaced our old 2-Stage Trane units that were approximately 15 years old and were top of the line back in the day. We really like these Trane HVAC Systems and theyve really helped reduced the cost of electricity and keep the house at a really great even temperature throughout. The installers that did our installation are their best installers, as far as were concerned. It was a father and son team, I believe it was Miguel Sr. and Miguel Jr., with an additional son helping with the installs during the summer. These guys were the best and such a pleasure to deal with! It took them a couple days, but we did have (3) complete old units that had to be taken out and new ones installed in their place, as well as whatever else needed to be done. They took out all the old equipment from the attics and outside and installed all the new equipment very carefully. They cleaned everything up and didnt damage anything, which was amazing, especially with the tight spaces they had to deal with in some instances. They rerouted duct work, added in dampers, cleaned out vents/vent covers, etc., for the new units to function properly. They took out each old unit separately and installed each new unit in its place, only better, and tested each unit as it was installed to make sure it was working properly. They didnt leave us without air conditioning in June, in Texasthank goodnessduring the couple days when they were doing the install. Michael, the owner, came by to check on the guys doing the install and hung out with them for a few minutes to see how everything was going, how they were doing and just chat with them for a bit. We actually got to meet Michael when he stopped by our housesuch a nice guy. We didnt even know he was the ownerhe only introduced himself as Michael. Also, we were told by David, the Salesperson, that there would be bugs that would have to be worked out. Its just that way when taking out old and installing new HVAC systemswe were expecting it, but it was nice that David told us that ahead of time. We did run into a few issues throughout the last year, which is to be expected, but can be a bit frustrating at times. Heres just a few of the issues we ran into. One of Units wasnt cooling down & the TZON 1050 Thermostat touchscreen wasnt working properly either. After we called them, they had Techs out within a couple of days to replace the Thermostat and do testing on the unit to fix the cooling issues & then check everything else out to make sure it was working the way it should be. They had it up & running within a couple days. Then we had a couple leaks on one of the upstairs attic units that was leaking into the drain pan underneath the unit. After we saw the water in the panwe called Gorman and they had the Techs out very quickly to repair the leak(s) and make sure the unit was working properly. We also had a few issues with the Thermostats sending error messages and misc. other issues that they immediately sent various Techs out to diagnose and repair. Some of these issues were after hours and they were very responsive and took care of them. Itll be a year next month that weve had the new units installed and all seems to be working great now. We just had our summer maintenance done. After a few months, we had Gorman install Surge Protectors on each unit(6) total. One on each Furnace Unit in the attic and one on each A/C Unit outside. Not an expensive investment to do this, but a great way of protecting very expensive HVAC equipmentespecially with Texas weather thats totally unpredictable at times. Weather that can freak out or fry your Communicating Systems and Thermostats. Gormans Techs are wonderful guysthey seem very knowledgeable and are great to deal with. Their staff in the office are awesome to deal with as well. The girls that we speak with to schedule service or maintenance, etc., are wonderful and very friendly. We have already recommended Gorman Mechanical to people we know and some of them have used Gorman for their HVAC needs in their homes as well. Along the way, weve also found out from other friends that Gorman Mechanical is their HVAC company toosmall world. We would highly recommend this company for your Trane and other HVAC needs. Such great customer service...which is very rare to find these days. Love this companysuch a pleasure to deal withso glad we found them.

I was very pleased with the ease of scheduling, the promptness of the technician, his expertise and the thoroughness of his work. I was impressed enough to go ahead and enroll in their regular service of inspecting my furnaces this coming fall and doing the AC and heating maintenance on a regular schedule. Being part of this plan also ensures you get immediate service the event of some sort of system failure.
