    The guy told me he had never worked on this system before. Called it a "learning experience". Well, he fixed the washer but BROKE the dryer. I have been trying to get someone from the company out to fix what THEY broke, and get the total 2 step run around. They even forwarded my call to a SEARS repair shop during one of the hour long holds I was left on. Ridiculous. If I could give them less than one star I would. Awful awful company. And still my dryer, which is under warranty, is unusable.

    Appointment available within days. Great communication The problem was fixed. 2nd time in s year I've had them out for appliance repair. They have been professional and competent. However, even discounted it is, I'm my opinion, that it runs between 200 and 300 each time for 10-15 minutes work.

    Incredibly bad experience begging for help!!!!
    I purchased a new home on May 1st I used my brand new
    dishwasher for the first time on 5/7/15 it poured water out on my new homes
    floor I called the home builders number and he turned in service request on
    5/8/15 he was told that a repair person would be in touch and call me to fix
    problem as of 5/14 no call the builder again reached out to his supplier rep no
    return call no email until 5-22 when the builder was informed that the
    homeowner had to contact Maytag directly at 8002531301 I called a minute after
    we got off the phone I was on hold for over an hour a representative picked up
    and we conversed and the customer service rep apologize she said her system was
    locking up she asked me to bear with her while she placed me on hold. approx.
    30 mins later the phone disconnected me from hold. I called back about 35 mins
    later I got to speak to a human and she was helpful finding me in the system
    and apologized for the problem she informed me that a tech would not be
    available till the following week I said that was unacceptable and asked to be
    transferred to a supervisor who tried to get a repair company out that same day
    the best she could do was 5/27/15 I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak
    to her supervisor she said all she could do was to have a supervisor call me
    back 24-48 business hours later she assured me I would be contacted to date no
    one has called.  affordable appliance
    repair came out and accessed the unit he said it looks like it may have been
    dropped or damaged in shipment and the unit needed all new drain hoses and
    replace the seals as it is leaking from every possible point under the unit he
    said it would be at least 7-10 days for the parts to come in at which time he
    would call to set appointment he said really the unit should be replaced he was
    going to stop and speak to builder. 
    Builder requested new unit his supplier told him only the home owner
    could request replacement and he was directed by his supplier to have me
    contact customer care.  I called in and
    was told that was not an option the customer service rep was authorized to do
    he placed me on hold while he contacted affordable appliance repair he found
    out that the service tech has not completed his call notes or ordered parts as
    of yet I asked to be transferred to a supervisor I next spoke to Emily who
    informed me that we have a legal binding contract to repair unit and all she
    could do is have me continue to wait. I asked to speak to Emily supervisor and
    was told she is not allowed to transfer she could put in a request to have them
    call me which I pointed out to her had yet to happen from last request. She
    slipped up and said that she was recommending replacement she quickly corrected
    herself to say repair I told her I agreed with the replacement recommendation
    said to have someone called to arrange a time she said all she was empowered to
    do was repair I asked again to be transferred she decline to do so but said she
    would put in request.
    I am begging get me a working dishwasher tomorrow not some
    undetermined time maybe possibly be fixed when even the repair person you sent
    out said it should just be swapped out. 
    Again it has never ever worked (unless you consider proper operation to
    sprinkle large quantities of water from every possible point) bad out of the
    box I am tired of waiting a repair should be measured in hours of downtime not

    I have already made a formal Better Business Bureau complaint against this company, but I realize many people read online reviews so here I am. LONG story short as possible?We have a home warranty, so we had no choice as to the company who came to "fix" our A/C unit. Called 3/29. First serviceman from this company came 4/6 & seemed like he knew what he was doing. He fixed some wiring and noticed we are out of freon so definitely a leak. He injected dye into the system and said someone would come back out to use a black light to locate the the leak. 4/9 an evaporator coil was ordered. Timing of this is weird since it wasn't until a week later when Ed (owner of the co) arrives, goes into attic, comes back stating the upstairs unit needs a new evaporator coil. CGAC tells the home warranty co the job will be complete by 4/30. But, darn, those parts are ALWAYS back ordered. So, 5/13, after heat from us and the warranty co, the part finally arrives and Ed is back. He goes into attic, comes back and asks, "Are you sure that is the unit for upstairs?" WHAT??! He stated, "We have a problem. I just replaced a perfectly good evaporator. I'll have to order the part for the other unit." He had replaced the evaporator on the wrong unit. Ed was quickly reminded that HE was the one who stated that was the unit for upstairs and that it needed an evaporator coil. We are not technicians nor do we supervise those who are technicians. He was asked if he had looked for a leak on his last visit when he had determined a coil was needed. He answered, "No. I never do that." He tried blaming the first serviceman and even said, "You know if you paid cash, it would take a week. But, since you go through a home warranty, it takes a month." Seriously?? Our warranty co verified that this isn't true information. GCAC is responsible for all ordering of parts. There is no extra time needed. Ed left knowing we were very upset. The next day his office calls to state Ed had been bitten by a brown recluse at our house and is refusing to return until we spray for spiders. Seriously?? I wish you all could see our attic. It is basically a room which could be easily converted. It's floored, very well lit and extremely roomy. I have seen one or two spiders in this house and neither was a brown recluse. His staff said, "He was told by his doctor to rush to the hospital. You know those things can be deadly?" Oh my goodness. Don't make me laugh. People do NOT die from those spiders. Bites can become infected and need lancing, but, oh man I am off subject!  Ed didn't mention this bite before he left AND he left the panel open to the attic which is in my daughter's closet. Anyway, I find it highly unlikely he was bit in our house. He knew how dissatisfied we were with his "service." It is extremely sad that I think so low of this company that my first reaction was to assume he was lying about the bite. We would not have let Ed return anyway. He is incompetent and now we have realized he lies. The new, and much improved, serviceman from another company came the day after I called. They immediately diagnosed the problem AND pointed out that the evaporator is missing from the unit! Ed had, for some reason, taken the evaporator with him. AND to make matters worse, the two units in the attic are the SAME EXACT unit therefore the parts are interchangeable. No new part would have been needed. However, the unit isn't even able to be repaired. It needs replacement. Which is what is happening now. And this company diagnosed the problem, sat on my stairs & called the home warranty co, explained the problem, received authorization for ordering a new unit, ordered a new unit, communicated everything with us, showed professionalism & respect, and left all within an hour. I highly recommend you do NOT use GCAC. There are much better options out there?.Thompson Heat and Air is one of those MUCH better options. Thank you.

    After seeing on Angie's List that they served Grayson County, in which I reside (the City of Sherman), and calling on 12/30/13 and setting up an appointment at my address for 12/31/13 between noon and 5PM, I was called by a representative on 12/31/2013 around 12:30 PM and told that I lived in a non-service area so they would not be coming out.  I was then given a phone number to call by the rep. of another service company that serviced Samsung washing machines,but the company she provided me the number to did not service my brand of washing machine, as she told me they did.  She did call back later with another company to try, which I had already found on my own.
    Please do not state that you service an area, make an appointment with an address given, and then cancel the appointment at the time of the appointment!

    I was called by the owner on 01/07/14 and he explained that it was a mistake on thier part and apologized so I am up grading my ratings.
