    Reliable Automotive
Very friendly staff. A visual inspection was included in the service performed. Mark told me all I needed was to replace my tires( which I pretty much knew) and that my battery terminals were corroded. He offered a battery corrosion service for 40 dollars, and was willing to drop it to 30 when I told him I couldn't afford it. I felt good about my experience. I'm always very leery about new mechanics, but I didn't feel unsold on services I didn't need. Mark even suggested ways I could deal with battery corrosion myself. I'm sure I'll be using these guys again.

Give them the top grade. I'd give them an A across the board, all the way down. They're great. They're the type of business that if you don't need to fix something on your car, they won't do it. You go in there, and they're like you can pay me the money to do it, but it's not necessary. They'll tell you that; I've had them tell me that. They're very honest. Integrity is like probably the highest ever; their quality and knowledge. Affordability, I find it worth the wait. It's comparable to dealerships as far as charges, but you're getting quality. We'll always go there.

    Lester's Shop
...Last year was not happy w/ results on my wife's car... Lester's crew couldn't resolve an electrical problem after several returns & finally decide to take it to another mechanic that solved the issue right away... Only reason I gave one star was he did offer to repair the problem...but at what expense...NOT HIS FOR SURE...!? (Sorry, Lester, I had to do this to let OTHERS be aware...& fair...etc.) How many times does an individual have to take a vehicle back to get it repaired...REALLY...?? (TWICE...THRICE..??) ....;( -END OF STORY & COMMENT...!!! ;)

    San Marcos Toyota

They have had my truck for a while. It did not just go in today. It has been there for a week-and-a-half or two weeks. They told me they had to replace the whole thing. I asked them why they cannot just fix it. Things are made to be taken apart. The guy that is dealing with me is very responsive and polite.

timing was great.  work completed without any issues at reasonable price.  I have had several cars worked on at their shop and found them to be honest in telling me what work should be done and minimizing the cost to me.  time required to do the work is good and they are considerate of your needs.  This is my go to shop for auto work.

    NEW WORLD WORKSHOP INC.
I have quite a lot of experience with them. They are really good, and I have been taking all of my stuff to them for 10 years. They only work on foreign stuff, like Japanese and European. They don't work on American cars, and I asked them if I could bring my truck in, but they refused. I have two Honda's , a car and a bike, and they are awesome. The quality of work that they do is really good. An oil change costs me $80 but that is synthetic. I hesitate to give them the kind of review that they deserve, because they are already busy.

    Lester's Shop

I communicated with Forrest first by e-m then by phone he was very polite and the diagnosis was spot on. My son attends Texas State and drives the family hand me down, so if he has another car problem while at school we would use Lester's Shop for sure.

    JUAN'S WRECKER TRUCK & TRAILER
I was stranded by the roadside near Beeville, Texas because the clutch in my car failed.
AAA  contacted various wrecker services nearby who could come as soon as possible since I was at the roadside. This was a service that had a wrecker immediately available.
I, my car and the utility trailer I was pulling were taken to my home in San Marcos, Texas,  approximately 105 miles north.
The driver, Miguel placed my Subaru ( all-wheel drive requires a flatbed)  on the truck and hitched in my trailer to the back of his truck and we took off for San Marcos.
The driver was knowledgeable and efficient. His demeanor was calm and pleasant. This put me at ease.

    Alexander's Auto Repair
I really think it is important to find a mechanic that is trustworthy and honest, especially when you aren't always in the area. I have found him to be very upfront and honest about his pricing and everything else. I feel comfortable leaving my car and the keys with him whenever I need work done. Ask anyone that has ever used Alexander's about their experience and I am certain they will agree with me!

    Oak Hill Automotive

Hank and Steve spent the time needed to do the job correctly. The issue is our 1998 Saturn SC2 has been out of production for about 12 years, and the company is also gone, so parts are hard to find.

We love the car and want to keep it running. Rather than tell us to go elsewhere as some may do because it is not an easy job, they will do it, and do it right.
