  • Some minor parts replaced, coils in fridge defrosted. $380 fee was mostly labor, $30 in parts. After technician left one of the lights in fridge was not working, replaced bulb, still not working. Stated compressor coil needed cleaning, and that we could do that ourselves. I purchased recommended spray cleaner and did this myself. For the fees charged I expected all necessary services to be performed.

  • I called on Wednesday and was able to schedule an appointment for Friday. They called on Friday morning to confirm the appoint and the serviceman arrived right on time. He vacuumed out the water standing in the washer and the drain line but didn't find any problem with the drain pump. Gave me some good advice on maintaining the washer (4 cups vinegar 2X per month) in light of my very hard water. Even though he didn't find a big problem with the machine, it was good to have it checked out in case there was a problem. Very professional, prompt, personable service. I would highly recommend and will use them for future service. I'm very happy with the service provided.

  • He came to my door with a card and was very polite and introduced himself. He came in and started on the clothes washer right away.  I could not believe how quick and clean he was.  He trouble shot the problem and fixed it in a very short time period.  His cost of $72.00 was way cheaper than getting a whole new washing machine.  He warranted his repair for 30 days.   There have been no new issues so far, so I think this was a great transaction.

  • My experience with City Appliance (William "Billy" Rodriguez) was very, very bad.  They showed up promptly after I called to install a new ice maker in my refrigerator, but it never made ice.  They replaced a valve maybe a week later -- but the ice maker still did not work.  Other parts have supposedly been "on order" for several weeks.  Now I cannot get them to return my calls.   I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company.  Do yourself a favor and find another company to do any appliance work for you.

  • Although they were pleasant and on time, they seemed rushed and eager to get to the next call. After they left I had to hook up dryer hose to wall correctly and dryer hose had large hole and venting into room. I had to remove it from dryer and cut it to remove hole then reattach to dryer. Also the wall plate was not put back on and actual vent was not connected to outside. 
    While trying to get dryer feet off of pedestal it proved harder than just unscrewing foot. Service person got a bit frustrated and tossed wrench to ground and dented Pergo floor. I was charged $125 for a 30 minute job. I had already unhooked water hoses and drained the water, and disconnected the dryer and pulled both units away from wall before they arrived. I think I was over-charged for what they did.
    This is the second time I have had to re-do their work after they left.

  • Bud found out that they no longer make the appropriate size pump for our ice machine. He had to rework our machine to accommodate a different size pump. He also discovered that the electrical board was not working properly so he replaced it. He was very punctual and friendly. We felt his price was very fair for the parts and his labor due to the amount of time he had to spend. It was not just a simple repair.

  • I called on a Friday to have him look at my washing machine and scheduled for Saturday morning.  He showed up on time and completed the work very quickly.  He also listened to an issue I was having with my dryer.  He diagnosed that issue as well but did not have the part necessary to complete the project.

  • My washer would not drain or spin. When I called and explained the issue, he was able to explain possible problems and give an estimate to fix these problems. We scheduled an appointment for the next day (a Saturday). The service call went very well. He arrived within the time slot given. Quickly ascertained the problem and completed the repair. Checked my dryer (a squeak) and refrigerator (not despensing water). Gave a suggestion for the refrigerator and indicated that the dryer part would need to be ordered. He was in and out very quickly. I am pleased with the outcome of my service call.

  • They did good work, but they were expensive.  It took them a long time to get the work done because there was hardly any competition in town.  They seem to be a bit expensive.  On a few occasions they have not carried out certain repairs saying that it wasn't worth repairing.  They said instead of paying them the labor charges I could almost get a new unit.  I still keep going back to them because their work is very good.
