Upon my initial contact with the director, Cady,  I told her all of my concerns with my toddler, what we were hoping to gain from enrolling him in a preschool, and if they up to the task. She gave me the impression that what concerns I describe were not uncommon and they would be able to help my son adjust to a group setting. Within his 1st week he began biting other children, which was a huge concern to his father and I. I requested a meeting with Cady and his teacher right away. Cady asked me to give it a week; allow the teacher to get to know my son's habits better and maybe he would adjust a little better. This sounded reasonable, so I agreed.  The next week we had the meeting and asked what we could do, biting is not something he is allowed to get away with at home. My big question, "how do I stop him from biting while he is at school?". We were told to encourage positive behavior when playing with other kids. Really? How?  He is an only child? We were also assured everything he was doing was normal for a child with speech delay. Cady said she felt he would take longer than the average child to adjust; a month, instead of 2 weeks. A week later we were getting daily reports that he was biting. At this time my husband and I decided it may be best to keep him at home; we were worried about the other kids.
On either a Monday or Tuesday(I cannot remember which) afternoon I spoke with Cady about removing our son for safety reasons and asked if we could make that week his last. Cady informed me there was a 2 week notice policy. I asked if she could speak with the owners because we wanted to remove him out of safety concerns for the other children. She said she could not, but that she would monitor my son, and if the situation had not improved at the end of the next week she would count this as our 2 week notice.
During this time,I wanted to help my son make the adjustment, so he would not have to leave. I had his private speech therapist go visit with him for an afternoon. Her report back to me, was that our son was not the worst behaved child in the group, and that he was having problems transitioning from one activity to another. She asked the afternoon worker if it was possible for someone to help him in making the transition. Her opinion was after a week two he would be doing much better. but that over all he was not doing that bad. Someone just needed to keep an extra eye him. because of the biting.  We'll this never happened, and at the end of the 2 weeks Cady decided, he should return home; until the fall. That maybe he would be ready then. At this time the Gingerbread house owed me for a week of care. I asked on more than one occasion if I would be given a refund, I was informed I would. 2 weeks later when I called about the money owed to me I was informed by Cady that she had review the dates and it was not a full 2 weeks so we were not owed any money. Before I could call her reasoning into question she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone. So now I am left in the position go down to this business in person and risk causing scene in front of children or do nothing.

Ver friendly director and staff. Good curriculum. The facilities were very nice, large playgrounds, the multipurpose building was great. My grandchildren have been there for several years and will continue. I especially liked the video cameras.

    Alpha Medical Massage & Rehabilitation
I would not recommend Scot Trahan who is the owner of Alpha Medical Massage and Rehabilitation to anyone. I told him the massage was too hard, and he said this is rehabilitation massage and this is the way it has to be. My husband had bought gift cards for this place, he paid $300 for six sessions, so each session costs $50. The place is nice, the suite that he has is nice, very clean. You come in and you do the paperwork and all of that, and I got under the covers. He came in and said, What part is hurting, exactly? I just wanted an overall massage. I didn't realize that I had to point out exactly what was wrong. So I said, well, I need an overall massage. He said, That's not what we do here. I need to know exactly what is hurting. I said, well if I had to pick something I would say that my lower back would need more attention than anything else. So, he only rubbed on my lower back and he pressed so freaking hard I thought I was going to die. I asked him to use a lighter touch and he said that that was not what they do there, that this is a Medical Massage and so, therefore, you have to press really hard in order to get knots out of muscles. It was awful! My husband has all these gift cards, and I said I'm not going back there, he killed me! So I suggested he go and find out what he thought. I went to see if they do any other sort of massage but they don't. So we are left with all these gift cards that we are not ever going to use. I don't know if we can get our money back. He was respectful and professional in the use of covers. He is a very large man, so he has a lot of strength and power in his fingers. I did say I wanted a regular Swedish Massage and he said we don't do that here. He did prepare me to be very sore, and he wasn't lying. He did have me drink water and then he did go over some different exercises that I could do at home in order to keep the lower back stretched out. I just wanted to be rubbed on, I didn't want him to tear in to me.

    Mull, Dr. James R
He's excellent and take very good care of me. Like any other office, there are times when you have to wait a little bit longer especially when he does on-call. The staff is friendly, professional and the atmosphere feels great.

    Dempsey, Leesa
Hers is just a different kind of massage; she does movements and moves my body; not just massage. I think it is very good for you. She gives top quality; she is great and I loved it. I have to call and make an appointment; she does not do walk-ins and does not have a staff. The treatment is wonderful.

    Power, Dr. Jeff
Dr. Jeff Power has provided me relief for a pinched sciatic nerve. I know it is not something that instantly goes away. I like him because he is willing to use several different types of techniques until he finds the one that works best for you.
