    Storm Dorms LLC
we lost our previous home in the tornado that hit Rowlett, TX on Dec 26, 2015. John Wingfield, at StormDorms was very supportive during this time and helped us to work out what type shelter we needed. We looked at several different companies and Storm Dorms had the sturdiest type of shelter. The building inspector said he has seen may storm shelters, but this was the best made he'd seen.

    Custom Sheds By Keith
We contracted Keith to build us a combination shed/workshop in our back yard. We couldn?t be happier with the result! The construction of the shop is absolutely first class. The shop is a 10? x 20? insulated barn style shed with two windows, two lofts, a regular single door, and a double door for bringing larger equipment in/out. He built steps for the single door and a ramp for the double doors. He installed an air conditioner/heater (that we purchased) into one of the walls.

Keith worked with us extensively to make sure that the finished shop had all the features that we needed for it to have. Knowing that it would serve as a shop, he even made several excellent suggestions for additional features to make it better suited for that purpose. He incorporated many of these enhancements into the shop at little to no extra cost over the bid.

Keith and his crew were unfailingly polite. They put in serious effort to complete this project in the wettest, rainiest May I?ve ever
known. And he went out of his way to coordinate with another contractor that our city required us to bring in for some of the work.

I would recommend Keith without hesitation. If I ever need another structure like this, he is the only builder I will contact.

    Homestead Sheds
I had a contractor that I found off of Angie's List who did a concrete slab. They did build the shed on the slab. I bought the door from another provider and they were able to install the door to their shed dimensions. They also installed a doggie door for me too. They customized the shed to how I wanted it. It took them a full day to complete the job.

    BW Construction
Bobby (BW Construction) was hired as the construction crew for a job I needed done on my home.  The person that hired Bobby was a personal friend that I have known for 20 years.  He was very persistent on doing the job and guaranteed me, in writing, that they would do the job right, not screw me over like other contractors had and that they had insurance and experience.  I finally agreed to let them do the job.  The job entailed tearing out what was left of an enclosed patio.  I had already torn the majority of the room out.  They then had to put in 4 posts (4x4) and I requested Cedar.  They would have to attach the post to concrete and a support board would have to be installed at the top in order to attach the posts to the roof. I also discussed with them to add boards to the sides so that it wasn't just a roof and posts.  The other part of the job was to remove 7 wood fence posts and replace them with 7 metal posts.
I was told the job would take 2-3 days.  The first estimate I got was over double what my insurance company had provided and what other established construction companies had quoted. I told them that it was really high and they immediately dropped the price over $1000 dollars.  I went ahead and accepted the price because I wanted to help out a friend.  My friend was needing money and it was the holidays.  Bobby's wife was expecting a baby and needed money as well.  I felt that it was a good thing to do... help out a friend and get the work done without having to deal with contractors that wouldn't show up.  They told me that material would cost $1200 and labor was $800.  They asked for $800 up front and then the balance when they were done.  So I gave them $800 cash and they started the job.
On the day of the work being performed, they had 2 additional workers that I didn't know would be present.  That was ok, however, they started rushing the job.  I kept saying they could finish tomorrow but they were insistent upon finishing that day.  I should have put my foot down because they were doing the fence in the pitch black dark. So they finished and I paid them the remaining balance of $1200 dollars.  They finished the 2-3 day job in one day.
I didn't go out and really LOOK at the work until the next day or so.  I thought the fence looked half-a** but it was a 10 year old fence so I didn't think much of it.  It was up and not falling down so I was ok.  I was also OK with the patio even though they didn't use cedar and didn't put the sides up like I thought they were going to.  It was done and I was tired of dealing with contractors.
A couple of months later, my neighbors dog got into my yard and was almost killed by my dogs.  I didn't have a clue how he got in there so I went out to look.  They set the posts to where they were even so the fence panels weren't connected back to the posts correctly and there were gaps.  I also started to notice that they didn't attach the posts to the fence correctly.  Of the 84 bolts they should have used, 28 bolts were missing.  I had to go out with boards and rig up the gaps so the dogs couldn't get into the yard again.  There is literally no way to fix it except move the posts to the correct position.  also, some of the posts are a foot lower than the others.  It looks horrible.  Then we had a bad storm come through and I went out to see the patio swaying in the wind.  NONE of the patio post were connected to the concrete and you can move them with your hands. I contacted my friend and sent him pictures and a video.  He said he contacted Bobby and apologized.  Said Bobby FORGOT to bolt them to the concrete.  This is a health hazzard. He tried to say that the bolts in the fence must have worked themselves out of the wood but that is not the case. There isn't even a hole and there is an inch or two gap between the wood and the bracket.  He PROMISED to fix it and said Bobby was sorry and they would fix it right and to please not be mad.  I said I wasn't mad and thought they would honor thier work.
Later, I decided to price the material cause I always thought it was a little high.  He said he was getting bids on material so it would be cheaper than Home Depot.  I priced it all through Home Depot.  They didn't spend more than $300 dollars.  IF they had used cedar like I wanted, it would have only been $450.  They charged me $1200.  I've asked for receipts and they are ignoring all my messages now.  I THINK they wanted tools and charged ME for their tools but if I paid for them, they are MY tools.
I contacted my friend again asking when they would get this fixed because my house won't pass inspection, my dogs could be deemed dangerous if they kill the neighbors dog and literally, they have DECREASED the value of my home with their crappy work.  I have gotten excuse after excuse.  My friend says bobby isn't replying but fact is, my friend isn't replying either. He can post on facebook and post pictures of birthday parties and such but he can't reply to an email.
Now I am stuck with a patio that may fall and kill someone, a fence that won't keep other dogs out and no money.  I can't believe a friend would take advantage of a single mom whom he knew was having a hard time.  I would NEVER recommend this person to do ANY WORK.  He doesn't honor his guarantee/warranty, he doesn't honor his work, he doesn't take his time to do a professional quality job and he doesn't treat his customers with respect.
