    A professional company -- one that adheres to ethical standards and deals honestly with people -- will understand that "NO" means "NO." That does not seem to apply to Michael Biggs at American Senior Benefits of TX. After not answering a phone call from them on 11/27/17, I called back and left a message to put my number on their Do Not Call list. That message was ignored. Biggs called again two days later at 8:05am while my wife was still trying to sleep. I told him off and said put me on their Do Not Call list. That request obviously went in one ear and out the other. Biggs had the audacity to call again on 1/10/18 at 8:02am, just a few minutes after I had gotten out of bed. He seemed surprised to think anyone would find that time rather early to make unsolicited calls. He promised to not call again, but there is no reason to believe anything he says. It seems American Senior Benefits of TX is one of those companies that believes if they are persistent enough they can wear reluctant senior citizens down. Companies that are honest and provide useful services do not have to engage in harassing tactics.

    I scheduled the appt for the same day, and the service was prompt and professional. I would go back if needed, even though they are not the closest, but still only 10 minutes away.. No billing/insurance issues have surfaced.

    Someone phoned 11/27/17 but left no message on the answering machine. I called back later. The recording said it was Michael Biggs with American Senior Benefits. I left a message to place my number on their do not call list. My request was ignored. He called again the next day and again left no message. Then he called again the following morning at 8:02. That time I answered in order to stop the phone from ringing and waking my wife. Am trusting he got my message loud and clear that time that I do not do business with such rude and unethical people.

    I just didn't like that hospital. I thought I was having a heart attack and it took them about 15 minutes for them to come back and get me. No one else was there. They could have been more prompt in seeing me to start with. I couldn't walk down to the door. My husband went in and talked to somebody and they just gave him a wheelchair and he came out with it. I think they could have been more concerned.

    They are starting a service where they have a nurse there, and the service that she gave, and the attentiveness was really really good. She spent a good amount of time doing analysis. They don't do blood work and all that, but they do what an old fashioned doctor would do. They make you cough, make you bend, ask you questions, take you here and take you there. It was very pleasant to see how they treated her. We have been to enough doctors to see the ones we like and we don't like, and we definitely like this one. The way they check you out, and the lady in particular did things that showed she was interested in helping you to understand and do the thing that you needed to do to fix yourself or to go see a specialist, or to recommend an over the counter drug. It was a good primary care kind of a visit.

    We have used them about 3-4 times and I really like them. When you go in you are going to see an MD and they know what they are doing. I am very confident in their ability and they are very capable. You can call ahead and you don't have to wait long.

    They're good. They're very quick. If you need your medicines right away, they get them right away. They've always been very friendly and professional. I like them. If you need something explained, they will explain it to you and their explanations are very easy to understand and they do a good job. The pharmacy aids are really good too.

    Overall it was a good experience. The nurses were the true heroes. I felt like it was hard to find a doctor though. We spent 12 hours a day waiting for the dr to make his rounds and some days he never came by at all. I have had better hospital experiences in the Austin area, but this one was ok.

    Procedure and process up until post payment was wonderful. I do recommend paying the billing administrator in San Antonio by check because at least you have some stamped proof of payment. I would wonder about online payment and how that would be handled.

    We reserved an appointment at the emergency room online (only at Seton!). We got there, filled out the paperwork and were seen immediately. No wait times. The maximum we had to wait (about an hour) was for the lab results and they told us it will take about an hour and a half.
    I found the Seton staff very professional, very attentive to the patient and very efficient. After the results were in and they suspected appendicitis, the doctor was in to tell us immediately and within five minutes there was a surgeon discussing our options. They didn't rush us into making any decisions and respected our decision. It took me half an hour to negotiate it with my husband who did not want to go for the surgery.
    Overall, communication was awesome. We got prompt attention every step of the way. When he was being taken to the operating room, the nurses took me through a short tour of all the post-op places he would be going to. I chatted with the nurses there who assured me everything was going to be fine and they will take good care of him. They didn't have to do all that, but I was much more relaxed after meeting them.
    We had a great experience and have heard some wonderful stories from friends as well. I would highly recommend Seton Williamson to everyone.
