    Charged $75 just to get an estimate to fix garage door that would not open. Estimate was twice that of a competitor who used same grade of equipment (e.g. sealed, ball-bearing rollers). Obviously I went with competitor and am very satisfied -- paid 1/2 the price and have a smooth, quiet garage door. May be worth paying double for people who want a 20-year warranty vs a 3-year. Not for me.

    Had a new garage door opener installed. Haven't had one in years. Found one within my budget. It's a chain drive but very quiet. CPOD Arrived as scheduled, installed the opener fairly quickly and was done. I've used this company before to replace the springs on my garage door. They are very helpful, polite and professional. I will use them for all of my garage door needs.

    During the initial check it was determined that our old door was about 75% broken and couldn���t be repaired but needed replacement. We ordered a new door and it was placed on hold while we cleaned out our garage. My husband was told the boards on the sides of the garage door would also be replaced but that didn���t make it into the written email estimate and was not done. When it was scheduled for a Thursday, they arrived on the Tuesday before and had to come back on the Thursday we had scheduled it for. They apologized for getting the install date mixed up. They were polite and professional during the installation, and we are pleased with our new door.

    Our garage door doesn't always stay shut and squeaks something awful. They did a free evaluation and reported that 3/4's of the mechanisms were broken. We ordered a new door from them but put a hold order on it until we can budget for it. When we're ready, we can just call them to order and install it. They were very prompt in their response and pleasant to deal with.

    Outstanding service! My garage door got stuck in the open position over a Holiday weekend. Even though I called on Saturday > 6 pm, they sent Joel out within the hour. He quickly figured out the problem with my 22 year old garage door opener and fixed it in < 30 minutes. Since it was so old, I asked about the cost of a new one. With an Angie's list deal, the installed price of a new garage door opener was fantastic. Thus, Joel came back after the Holiday and quickly replaced the unit. Overall, I highly recommend Cedar Park Overhead Doors for excellent customer service and quality of work. They were responsive, helpful, knowledgable, friendly and had great prices. Thank you!! Vicki

    ++ My original 23 year old garage door cratered one day. Cedar Park Overhead Doors was able to send someone over the same day to check it out and discuss options with me. Then they were able to do the installation on short notice so my garage wasn't stuck open for days. - Unfortunately I wound up quite unhappy with door that was installed. It wasn't technically defective or installed wrong but it was much noisier than my original door and much noisier than I expected based on our initial conversation. In any case, it would drive me batty. +++ After a couple service calls we decided that the door couldn't be modified to meet my needs so we ordered a different and CPOD installed it for me. It's a world of difference. Of course it's always best if things are perfect the first time around. But that's not always the way it's going to be. What is much more important to me is that CPOD did what it took to make it right and turn me into a happy customer. I don't take that for granted as it's far too uncommon these days. Net: I would definitely hire them again and recommend to friends and family.

    This is in regards to customer service only. I did not have work done this time. I've used them before and had planned to use them again but now no longer interested. There are plenty of other options. I called yesterday to make an appointment for regular maintenance on the garage doors. I asked for 3PM or later. Whomever I spoke to said okay. I arranged for someone to be there for the time we agreed on. Today, they showed up at 1PM to find a note that they had already come by. No courtesy call in advance, no message in my voicemail. When we called back, they said they are not supposed to make appointments like that, either 6-12 or 12-6. ���They just had a meeting on it yesterday.��� They would review the recording and call us back��� 1. It is not my problem that someone scheduled us for 3PM even though ���they aren���t supposed to do that anymore���. I asked for 3PM or later and was told it could be done. 2. I���m not a big fan of these 6 hour windows like people don���t have anything better to do. Even notoriously bad Time Warner/Spectrum has gone away from those ridiculously large time windows. 3. No courtesy call in advance, no message in my voicemail.. Maybe we could have reset expectation had I had any notice. 4. Phone operator did not take my word for it. Said they���ll review the tapes and get back to me. 5. Did not offer to reschedule? I asked if they could still come out today. They said depends, after they review the tape. I am just supposed to wait around until ���you review the tapes���? How about you worry about getting the service done and find out what went wrong later. 6. I have a strong belief that as the customer, I have lots of choices. I don���t need you, you need me. Treat me like it.
