    As a first time home buyer, I was pretty clueless to the process of obtaining a mortgage. Edward was right there every step of the way! He patiently answered all my questions and kept in constant communication through the entire process. He was very prompt in answering emails, calls, and texts.     was confident in choosing the Max Leaman team after reading reviews, but our overall the experience was less than impressive. Amy was nice enough but it seemed that I had to call or email twice in order to get a response. Even then, most of the time I felt like an after-thought and needed to remind her of things we discussed previously. Of the staff we interacted with, Tamisha was quick to respond, on top of things and friendly. Unfortunately, Crystal was a bit condescending and rough to deal with. When I brought it to Amy's attention, she immediately involved the Operations Manager, Tiffany, who resolved things quickly and professionally.

    My family has been a bit nomadic for the past 12 years due to work, and this would mark our 6th close and hopefully last for quite some time.  This has been the easiest by FAR.  No comparison!  Mike and his team were able to secure a great rate.  I was a bit hesitant with using an out of state lender but was compelled to check it out due to the outstanding ratings within Angie's list.  I was not disappointed.   The application process was extremely easy. I was able to click and drop my supporting docs and easily follow the stepped approach of the application process.    I received lender credits which brought down my closing cost to around $500 plus cost appraisal fee.  For the closing appointment, they sent the title company to my home on a Friday evening with my kids running around.  Cody Domino from Alamo Title Company was very friendly and professional.  I highly recommend!

    My contact person at the company (Randy) was very friendly and helpful from the beginning. He called me back when he said he would and got our approval letter to us immediately after the paperwork was completed. We all thought this would go smoothly. We found our house, signed the contract with the sellers, and set closing for 30 days. I called every 2-3 days to make sure they didn't need anything from us and was told repeatedly that everything was fine and on target, all of our paperwork was done and we were just waiting for the underwriters to finish with our loan. Two days before closing I called once more to check in and was told there was a "hiccup" in the process. The wrong sellers name was put on the paperwork for the appraisal, and that info was used to underwrite the contract so they had to do it again. It would delay closing for 3-4 days (from Thurs to Monday or Tuesday). We already had our appliances scheduled to be delivered on Friday and help moving and trucks rented for Saturday so the sellers graciously allowed us to move our belongings in to the garage and have the appliances delivered. It is now Saturday (1.5 weeks after closing was originally scheduled) and we still have not closed. They lost our files from the original underwriter and we lost and forgotten in the shuffle. My husband, myself and our two baby boys are now living in our empty condo we're moving out of with 2 air mattresses and a suitcase.
    The sellers may back out, which they can do because we've had to have the contract extended not once, but twice now because of and we would have to give up our new house, move all of our stuff back out and now pay for storage. This has been nothing but stressful, and I have to explain to my 3 year old every day that we did not take his bed and stuff away because he is in trouble; we did it so we could give him a new house and back yard to play in. I am now not having my phone calls or e-mails answered or returned the same day, or sometimes at all. I am told every time I talk to them that they will get back with me and they don't; when I call them back I either get an answering machine or I am told "I was just about to call you." I don't believe it.
    If this deal falls through we most certainly won't be using for our next home purchase and I would not recommend anyone else use them either.

    I would highly recommend Terry Fann and his team at PrimeLending in Allen, Tx.. My wife and I chose Primelending because of good reviews on Angie's List and because we had done a refinance through PrimeLending years ago that went well. Terry was able to walk us through the process and respond quickly as we were looking at multiple houses. Once we found the house, Terry and his team were ready to closed within weeks, beating our original deadline by one week. Terry called me personally the day of close to make sure all the details were in place.
    I can honestly say getting a mortgage was the easiest part of our home buying experience. We were able to handle most all things online via the online application process, via email and scanned documents and the online portal for uploads.

    Susan was awesome. She was professional, friendly, personable, knowledgeable and fast! Susan was always willing to take the time to explain things to me. This was especially helpful as we were first time home buyers. In the competative home market we lost a few houses along the way. Susan was very genuinely empathetic for each loss. Speaking of competative home market, something that was very important to our seller was closing time. Susan and her team worked very hard and got us from offer to close within 3 weeks! We were very pleased at the whole process!
