Boarding reviews in Richardson

  • Very pleased with the service provided by GPPS and the sitter, April, who was very nice and accommodating and went out of her way to ensure our special needs cat was well taken care of during our vacation. I especially loved the daily visit journals and it was always a relief to see our little one safe and sound. It is unfortunate they don't service the Richardson area anymore though.

  • This was the second time we used Fire Plug Inn while taking a trip, it is only about 10 minutes from DFW Airport in nearby Southlake.  Our dogs actually seem to look forward to going here and the attentive staff seems to treat them quite well during their stay. They only allow small dogs under 25 lbs so this must be another reason why the dogs enjoy it.  The positive reviews about this place are justified and we will continue to use them whenever we need to board our dogs in the future.

  • Regardless of whatever my dog thinks, I like this place and I think they do a good job of caring for dogs.  I can only imagine my dog is delighted to spend time at Benny's Dog Resort when I am away; she certainly is eager to jump in the car when we go, and she is even more eager to jump out of the car and check into the Resort when we get there.
They are a bit eccentric (who ever heard of shutting down an office every day for 2-hours in the middle of the day?) and they reserve the right to refuse my business, or look after my dog.  All this is rather unnerving.   My dog and I are on our best behavior when we are there.
They have immaculate grounds, they are cheaper and seem better organized than their competition, have lots of fun things for dogs to do and have doggie tennis balls everywhere (Gwen loves these).
If I were a dog I could not imagine a friendlier and more comfortable place to visit than Benny's

  • It was $150 for boarding and $50 for grooming. They are friendly, flexible, and they take good care of my baby. They love animals. They have playtime and they are always loving on the animals. They are personable. My dog loves to go there and he's happy with the grooming.

  • We love Pet Paradise! This is the second time we have used the location on Premier in Plano for boarding. We are very anxious about leaving him for boarding and the staff is patent and understanding. They are very kind and remember our dog and all the things he likes. He is a very active puppy ( terrier mix) and they deal with him very well. They let him play in the and quot;active roomand quot;! When he stays there, we call to check on him and they give lots of details about how he is doing.
When we pick him up, he is happy, healthy and tired, which tells us he has been out playing - not just left in his space. We pay for the extra play time, but that is well worth it to us. He acts very comfortable around the staff and they all know his name.
Last, they also send home a and quot;Pawgress Reportand quot; which gives details about how his visit went.We will use them in the future.

  • The training went well. Our puppy Jasamine is hard-headed, tries to be dominant, and is a challenge. I have two other dogs that I do not have any problems with. Jasamine is not like them. Fred was our main trainer. He provided good tips for us in dealing with Jasamine and helped us learn to control her much better. We used the training package where Jasamine spent two weeks with them, then we had private lessons with the trainer and Jasamine, and finally we attended group classes.

Jasamine responds to verbal commands as well as hand signals. She is still hard-headed, but now is more controllable. We have also called a couple of times and asked for advice. The trainers have always been helpful and made good suggestions, such as using bitter apple spray and to put a leash on the dog to calm her down, even indoors.

We recommend K-9 University. We have also used K-9 for day care when construction was being done on our house. K-9 was great with Jasamine.

  • Camp Wag-A-Tail is a non-cage facility. They have a big living room area with couches. The dogs are just there in a homey environment and they have an outdoor playground. They have little plastic swimming pools and plastic toys. I was glad that they were very thorough on the information they ask for about our animals before they agree to keep them and with all the updated records. Our dogs are positive about entering the place. The place is run by 1 owner and a groomer and they've been there for the 2 years that we've used them so it's been consistent ownership and staff. There's more staff but I've only dealt with those 2.

  • They are our vets and they take care of our animals. They have extremely professional staff and they are a very caring group. They do follow up calls to make sure that your pet is okay after it comes home. They are a first class operation. They are very attentive. Even when we board our animals there the vets check on them from time to time to make sure that they are okay. They are very attentive to the animals and very responsive if there are any concerns about them.

  • Although the staff is very friendly, I cannot go back. On 2 of the 3 occasions they were boarded over a weekend, my dogs came home sick, and the vet bills exceeded the cost of the boarding (not to mention I had to take off work to get them into the vet asap).  Also on their last visit, I asked for my dogs nails to be trimmed, and this was not done, but I was charged for it. Very disappointed.

  • We had to go out of town unexpectedly. As usual, they took care of him, fed him, and walked him. The dog also got to go to doggy day care and play with other dogs. They groomed him, and we picked him up. He was clean and happy. He was almost as well-adjusted as a dog could be. The price was pretty reasonable.
