    Initial installment electrical cords were installed under the recliners. Eight hours after delivery two out the three recliners were in the out position.. When the third was being reclined, sparks flew and large popping sounded.. The sofa was dead and all three recliners were in the out position.. A replacement wasn't delivered for 2 weeks.. Not a great way to kick off the Christmas holidays with company in town. New sofa was delivered and less than three months later the middle recliner stopped working.. Service member changed a part, however an hour after he left the seat broke again. Two weeks later another service member came out to check on the sectional. I was informed a new electrical part needed to be ordered. That took 6 weeks to come in.. Was informed on the phone that the service members would bring the part to the house and fix it. Well that was another person telling the wrong information.. When they arrived they took the piece with them back to the warehouse. Two weeks later the section was returned, however the electrical cord was now to short to reach the outlet.. Even the person(s) installing it said it was too short.. Called again and said I would be receiving a new recliner (the one that was broken) since the issue has been ongoing.. Will see if that happens, but I am not holding my breathe. One would think with Warren Buffett owing the company there would be integrity, excellent customer service and good products. I have not found any of these things since my purchase a year ago with the company. Many incompetent and rude people. If anyone asks where I purchased my sofa I will tell them Nebraska Furniture Mart in The Colony, TX. And to not waste their time or hard earned money on any of their products.

    Talked to several furniture finishers who wanted to take it to their workshop and do it, that will take considerable time and cost. I talked to Daniel and he explained to me that it would not involve the desk removed from the office and he can get it done in few hours and after giving it two days to dry, I will be able to use it. He was very prompt responding to my phone contact, came to see the desk and came back on a Friday to do the job on time. The desk looks great. He was very professional, reliable and honest - easy to deal with.

    The work was done at a bargain price and Edgar even picked it up and delivered it in 2 weeks, just like he said he would. We supplied the fabric and he repaired the furniture, removed the horse hair & put in new foam cushion material, & reupholstered them all. Thrilled!

    It is just a small place. They did furniture repair. It was close to home. We tried them and I do not think we will be back there. It was just a heavy duty spring that was broken in the chair and they said it was $100. It had a delay after delay after delay. First of all, they said to be a week. It ended up being two weeks, then three weeks, and then it was four weeks. Then when my husband went to pick it up after I had called them and it was time to see if it was ready, they tried to tell him it was $200. My husband luckily knew it was not that so we only paid $100. Moneywise there was not a problem; it is just the fact that we were told a hundred. That was the only problem.  As far as the delays on it, they did not call and let you know it was not ready when you thought it was going to be ready. They said it would be ready Friday. The first time, I went up there and it was not. The next time, I just called and it was not and nobody was there to answer my question. Then, they said they would call back and let me know, but each time I had to do the calling to find out it was ready. There was always a delay each time. There was no concrete date each time until the last one. They did not follow-through with what they originally said it would be and then, tried to change the price at the last minute. I have no idea how many technician worked on it other than the fact when I called after the second week, he said he was giving to somebody else to fix it and that he would have to get it. I do not know where it was and where it went. It was not done there on the premises which I originally thought it would be because it is just a small place with a big work room in the back.  I think they need to fix their communication skills to make it better. The price was fine for what it was. The quality is fine. I never had a problem with it since.

    I drove to the store and arrived before it opened. However, the salesman let me in and showed me the dishwasher I wanted. He wrote up the transaction and gave me his mobile phone number in case of any problems after delivery.  Delivery is scheduled through a subcontractor (DFW Workskills) and separately billed.  The unit was delivered on October 13, after its arrival from the warehouse.  I was unable to get an earlier delivery but the salesman did attempt to expedite the process, since we had to disable the breaker for the dishwasher (which also shut off power to the refrigerator).  The installer was on time, friendly, and professional.  All is well now.  I felt the service was good and likely better than I'd get at a big box store.  The appliance was priced the same as the advertised price at a home improvement store.

    I had been looking for replacement patio furniture for a while.  The Winston set we have is a round glass top table and four chairs, acquired over 20 years ago.  One of the chairs had a broken strap and the cushions were fully depreciated.  The patio furniture that's available new is not to my liking (too much like living room furniture) and quite expensive.  I called and emailed Chair Care for a quote and delivered the chairs to them on June 9.   The round table is in good shape and didn't need repair.  They would have picked up/delivered but I was able to haul the chairs in my vehicle.  Estimated completion was 4 weeks; it took a bit longer because they needed to reorder vinyl strapping material.  I bought cushions at a DIY store, for under $100.  So after a short enough wait and a grand total of about $250, we have a new-looking patio set at a fraction of the cost of new furniture.  It's also important to us to reuse things that might otherwise go to a landfill.

    I found Mike on Angie's List and gave him a call.  He answered his phone rather than the call going to voicemail.  We established the first date he was available (about a week from the date of the phone call) and set a time for him to come to my home.  He showed up a few minutes early, and had his lovely daughter, Carly, with him.  Mike got right to work, first cleaning our piano.  He did a thorough job!  He was meticulous in his tuning, and our piano gets thumbs up from our very gifted daughter who has played the piano for 35 years.  She gives Mike an A+ on improving the tonal quality of our piano.  It sounds amazing now!

    If you call Mike and Carly is with him, be sure to ask her to sing the Star Spangled Banner at the end.  She gave me goose bumps!  She has a beautiful voice and is a very sweet young lady.

    My builder contracted with Jarrell for kitchen appliances and for installation of those appliances. They delivered all the appliances, but only successfully installed the refrigerator and oven. The oven was not initially installed correctly and they damaged my custom cabinetry in the process. They only agreed to do about half the work of installing the dishwasher and refused to finish the installation. They said they could not install the vent hood remote blower and refused the job on site. The rangetop was either delivered damaged or damaged during installation and it took significant back and forth to get a new unit. They even arranged an on site meeting with the local rangetop rep, but cancelled after the meeting was supposed to begin. The refrigerator was damaged before or during the installation and I am still trying to contact them to fix the issue. After 'completion' of the job, they continued to demand payment, even as my builder made multiple requests for them to lower their installation charges from the initial bid, because they only installed a few of the items they initially quoted.

    We asked Tim to fabricate a custom mantle from a picture we found on the internet. Our style is Arts & Crafts, so there weren't any good local choices. Tim and Sergio absolutely nailed the design down to every detail including the stain color to match our furniture. Sergio and his crew also did a fantastic job on the installation. To this day, we get many compliments on the mantle. Tim is extremely easy to work with and communicated very well throughout the whole process. If you need custom woodworking, I highly recommend that you call Select Cabinet Co.

    Wow.  Samuel does exceptional work.  He had to fully sand down the original finish the remove all the gloss and then re-apply the darker color that we desired.  He had some very good suggestions, was very thorough and professional.  I will absolutely call Samuel next time we need anything refinished again.
