Physical Therapy reviews in Plano

    ActiveRx Plano
This physical therapy place only takes people over 65. It's wonderful. It's one-on-one with the therapist. You're not having a therapist go between three people. They take Medicare. I went from a lot of pain to be enabled to walk three fourths of a mile. I'm not going any place else. They talked to me all the time. I'm recommending it to all my friends. I came in and I could do about 20 minutes, at the most, being up and then I had to sit down. In six weeks I got back to walking three fourths of a mile. That's pretty awesome. Three times a week. I did everything they told me to do and I had no problems from it. The biggest thing with these people is, if I was staying here - I would be able to pay a nominal fee or my insurance might cover it - they have people come in and do the exercises to light music. It's wonderful.

    Abercrombie Physical Therapy
Lea and Linda provided physical therapy for my mother in her home during her convalescence..  The quality of the therapy and the care they provided has helped my mother regain a measure of her independence.  My brother, sisters, and I are most pleased with the outcome of the care and support they provided her.

Institute For Sports & Spine Rehab
Kendra Pike was my therapist and she was fantastic. Good bedside manner and worked well with me. I have seen an improvement in both my issues since going to her. They frequently work with college interns but they are managed very closely.

    Clair Physical Therapy
They were the first ones that I used. I had had a back surgery and it was a pretty big deal. So I went to rehab first and then I came home. I actually had some home physical therapy but I can't remember the name of the people who provided that service but then I started with Clair. I had surgery in may be August and started using them in October and finished up in January. I don't know if they had hydro therapy or not. My doctor didn't prescribe any hydro therapy for me. So may be they had it or may be they didn't, I don't know but it didn't work. It was not their fault. However, I didn't feel like what they prescribed for me, the routines that they made for me didn't match my ability very well. It's kind of wrote, "This is what we prescribe for everybody." "Well, I can't do that. Now, what are we going to do?" or it's uncomfortable for me to do that or whatever I just didn't feel like their protocol for me was not very good. I just couldn't do some of the stuff that was on their little check off list. Also, they were not as prompt as I have found these other places to be, both the Renaissance and HealthSouth. At Clair, they could keep you waiting for quite a while. They tended to overbook a little bit. You are not getting attention because they're all working with somebody else and they just tell you, "Start your routine but I'm not going to be there to count, to correct, to watch your progress or to do anything because I'm over here working on somebody else." They would keep me waiting for 10 min and you only have an hour to begin with. They weren't bad but they just weren't good.

    HEALTHSOUTH Plano Rehabilitation
They have an in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation center in Plano. It just happens to be about three min from my house. I've also stayed at the Renaissance as an in-patient for rehabilitation and I would rate both of those facilities very high. I have nothing really but good experience and I stayed for about six weeks at the rehabilitation. Most people don't stay about a week or two, may be even three. I stayed there a long time, about six weeks in two different stays and then again for another week later on. The staff was very good and very professional. Even the food wasn't bad. I'm currently going to Health South and I chose to do that based on their proximity to my home. My father-in-law had some trouble with his shoulder. So he went there for out-patient physical therapy and just really liked it. The people there did a great job for him. So I thought, "What the heck, we're going to try this." and I went over there and I'm doing both land and water physical therapy and I've only had one session of each but I've been very pleased! I'm going to have to have another surgery in October and the chances are very good that when I get out of the hospital there I will go to rehab for two to three weeks and I have pretty much decided that that's where I want them to send me and I can request that they send me to HealthSouth. That way my family can get to me quickly, in about 3 or 4 min. I go in and sign in and my therapist, the one who is assigned to me, comes and gets me in the lobby. It didn't take more than two or three min for them to come out and greet me and take me back. They're rated in the Top10% of PT providers based on an independent industry survey.

    Saithsoothane, Dr. Serge B.
Serge Saithsoothane and his staff are an amazing team delivering strong performance. One of my teenage daughters had 2 ACL surgeries and another one had 1 ACL surgery. Both daughters had their rehabilitation at CPR with Serge and we spent over 2 years going to CPR on a regular basis. They are now back in sports.
First, Serge is very knowledgeable and talented. Both daughters trusted fully his recommendations and instructions. To this day, they would rather start with Serge when they get injured instead of going to see a doctor! Serge was gentle in his treatment and but demanding in his therapy to get results. Serge was also always available to talk to us parents about the challenges and progress of our daughters. Serge was also very accommodating to make up some therapies due to conflicting schedule.
Another positive point of the CPR is the atmosphere. When you spend hours every week in rehabilitation, fighting pain and stretching your body ability, it is tremendously helpful to have a welcoming and fun environment. My daughters loved working every all the staff members and even baked cakes for their birthdays!
I cannot speak highly enough of CPR and strongly recommend them. I will continue to use Serges/CPR services for all future rehabilitations.

    Clair Physical Therapy
I chose Clair Physical Therapy because of the reasonable price compared to another rehab facility that the doctor recommended. My first visit to Clair involved a consultation to see how they could help. Aaron took down all my info and measurements so I decided to see him for all my future visits. All the staff was friendly and seemed to get along well. The facility was clean but the stair machine and treadmill could use an upgrade. All in all I was happy with therapist, and the end result.

    Saithsoothane, Dr. Serge B.
    • He has good manner. He just received his PHD and thats pretty rare in his field. He has a staff of eight or ten people in his facility. Its always busy. They are able to push me to a level which I can achieve based on my needs.

    Centre of Physical Rehabilitation
After the eval, I would only spend about 5 minutes of each session with the actual physical therapist. It was usually interns or physical therapy assistants who were with me. My physical therapist commented that there was "hardly anything at all" showing on my MRI. After that, I was just confused about why I was coming in for the appointments. The physical therapist didn't really seem to have a plan for me. I asked how long I would come and he said until the pain had subsided and we would "go from there." I had to remind him about the spinal decompression plan on two different occasions. Seemed like a waste of time and money. Maybe my experience there would have been better if I had a different physical therapist. On a positive note, the front office staff was very helpful and attentive.

    Plano Therapy Center
My main therapist devised a plan of gradually increasing exercises; each was demonstrated and the therapist made sure I understood how to do them. I also received written and illustrated instruction. This facility is associated with my orthopedist's group practice and that helped with scheduling. I felt better in a relatively short time and have continued to use some of the exercises whenever a flare-up threatens. The facility is well stocked with a good variety of equipment and the general atmosphere was very friendly and positive.
