    brought car in early and expressly asked if they could diagnose and work on my car quickly as I needed it back that day. The individual intaking the car stated that was no problem they weren't that busy. # hours goes by without word and i call in to ask on the diagnosis to find it hadn't even been pulled into the shop. I was understandably upset that I had been misinformed on timing to diagnose the car to which no concern was shown by the person on the phone and the deflection game started. Then I speak to the owner of the Franchise and he was no more concerned than the first person. Worse than that, he was talking over me rather than listening to my concerns and frustration. Instead of trying to ease my concern, he hangs up on me. Then when I call back to get something done, I find out there is 1.5hr labor fee just to diagnose(even though the car has a top notch computer, as most do these days). Then after they have it taken apart I find out that basically a tune up costs 1100 dollars with these folks. Funny how the 3 nearest shops were all from $500-$600 dollars less. So they charge more than the BMW dealership charges, they are unresponsive/unconcerned about the customer and act like their doing you a favor. Some favor, over-charged/gouged and the repair wasn't done correctly and I had to get a rental for them to fix what wasn't done correctly in the first place. Do yourself a favor and save the headache dealing with this place... my next post will be with the Franchise holder as I have never had the owner of an establishment try to bully me, then blackmail/ gauge me. total for a tune up? $1180 + $50 rental car because they didn't do the job correctly.

    Professional Window Tint
    I can't believe how well this went. These guys are fantastic. They came out the same day for the estimate. They arrived a bit early, which is rare. They took the time to explain the process and different tints available. They explained how each tint works and the benefits of each. On the install date they called and said they would arrive shortly and they did. They came in and started work and didn't stop until it was complete. They cleaned up after each room before moving to the next room. When its time to tint the rest of the house I'll be calling them back. WE highly recommend them for any tinting needs.

    I have a 2005 KIA Sorento with 29,700 miles on it. KIA used defective CAM shaft pulley bolts on all Sorento's from 2003 to 2006. I learned this from court papers from a class action law suit against KIA. However, because of low mileage, my car didn't break until after the lawsuit expired. KIA would take no responsibility for this. This is a catastrophic defect. When this pulley breaks off it leaves part of the broken bolt in the engine block and if it breaks off while moving it will destroy the engine. Mine broke off while parked and I shut the engine down immediately. This minimized damage to the engine and allowed for the following repair. Lewis Complete Auto Repair had to remove the engine from my car and send it to a shop that remanufactures engines where they bored out the hole in the engine block, removing the broken screw. This widened the hole which then had to be threaded and a new larger bolt and pulley could be used. The engine then had to be shipped back to Lewis' shop where they reinstalled it along with some new parts that were destroyed when the pulley broke. While they had it I also had them change the transmission oil and install a new battery. This work took approximately 3 weeks to complete and they had it done on time even though I told them I had access to a car for as long as I needed it and they should take their time with the repairs. Most of the vehicles that had this problem had to replace their engines. Lewis Complete Auto Repair was able to save my engine at a cost of about half of what I was quoted by KIA. This was a very major repair and the people at Lewis Complete Auto Repair really know what they are doing. They have a strong reputation for honesty and were highly recommended by a friend. This is the only shop that will ever work on my car in the future. I have had my car back for 2 weeks and it is running great.

    Herb's Paint & Body #4
    Our car sustained hood, roof, trunk, windshield, and quarter panel damage in a severe (tennis ball sized) hail storm. After looking up reviews online, we decided to try Herb���s Paint and Body #4 and we could not be happier with their performance. In addition to all the other damage, they had to physically remove the roof (which has a sunroof), weld on a new one, and honestly, the car looks brand new. Absolutely incredible work and it only took 10 days to complete the job, far surpassing the performance of every other paint/body/collision repair shop we���ve experienced. There is also an Enterprise rental car facility in the building so dropping it off and picking it up was easy. Frank (our representative) did an absolutely phenomenal job keeping us informed and with customer service. The only reason I gave their professionalism a ���B��� was the first individual (not Frank or the secretary) I encountered wouldn���t give me the time of day and didn���t seem to care that I was a customer. However, that was a one off experience and everyone else besides that guy were fantastic and overall, we couldn���t be happier with our experience at Herb���s Paint and Body #4. Highly recommend.

    Took my car to AltaMere in Plano to get an estimate and look at options. Shawn was helpful and gave me a price of $270 after I selected the mid-range product (Solargenics) with a Lifetime Warranty. He said he could get it done in less than 2-hours, so I decided to wait in their waiting room and watch TV and read my newspaper while they did the work. It took about 1.5 hours and the windows looked great. Shawn went over the precautions about leaving the windows up for 2-days and said to bring it back should any issues develop. I should have done this years ago, but am glad I finally had it done. Highly recommend this shop in Plano, TX

    There is a hero in our midst! Linear Automotive was suggested by a friend after I was in a car accident and needed body repair. My insurance approved Linear��� s bid and I was authorized to bring my car in to Linear 12/27. On Jan 2nd, I get a call from my insurance that they would stop by to check on the status of my car. I thought they would get back to me that my car was ready for pick-up. Instead, I had a mad insurance guy stating corporate should never had approved the repair. It was well over the value of the car. Linear should never have begun the repair. And that he was calling the Totaled Group to pick up my car and sell for scrap metal! My hero is Adam at Linear Automotive. For a month, both Adam and I talked to multiple managers at my insurance company related to repair of my car. It ends up, when someone begins body work on your car, no other body shop will work on it. And if the insurance company considers a car totaled, body shops that accept insurance work will not work with the car due to conflict of interest. So unless Linear pulled a rabbit out of hat, I would never see my car again! Adam worked tireless hours trying to reduce his bid down to the level that was acceptable ��� using out-of-box solutions. After a month and half of my car being held hostage by my insurance company, I now have a like-new car sitting in MY garage! I am so thankful to Adam and Linear Automotive. He is my hero!

    Firestone Complete Auto Care - Plano
    I walked in this afternoon looking for a quote and spoke to Jesse Chavez. I have very limited car experience or knowledge so having someone like him who was patient with me, spoke to me honestly and didn't talk down to me (a female) made a world of difference. I received other quotes that were lower, but the service was so good and Jesse made me feel so comfortable that I went with Firestone. He was extraordinarily patient with me and explained to me in detail what I was looking for and what services they could provide. He spent time giving me different pricing options and explaining to me what I needed. He also recommended a technician that would be great for the work. The original plan was for them to keep the car until Monday but I was VERY pleasantly surprised that they were able to finish the work the same day. He then called me to tell me the car was ready but there were a few additional recommendations. As a visual person, I was struggling to understand everything he was saying over the phone so I swung by the shop to speak face to face. Jesse was again spectacular; using a picture to explain to me what services they were recommending, why, and what the consequences were if I didn't do them. This is huge to me because as a female, I feel a lot of the time, I'm getting sold stuff I don't need because I'm not mechanically inclined so understanding the why and the consequences are very important to me. Overall, he was spectacular and with this level of service, I will remain a long term customer.

    I asked the mechanic to pop the hood to discuss the 3 flushes. The color of the brake and power steering mysteriously was the correct color of apple juice. I swear it was black when show at the first tire change shop. I just needed a coolant reservoir. The part was ordered and put in the next weekend. I now take pictures of my engine. I would highly recommend this auto shop.

    I visited the dealership and received a quote to replace the Power Steering Rack and Pinion on my Hyundai Genesis. Mike was able to do the same work for substantially less money. In addition to saving money, he provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. Instead of having to take my car to the dealership, Mike did all the work at my house. I highly recommend Mike.

    McCollum's Auto Center is a genuine & honest neighborhood repair facility that you can trust to perform only the necessary services with quality replacement parts. Mike Fore & Winston McCollum were very helpful with diagnosis, prompt scheduling, and keeping us informed. We received fair treatment, quality results, and a reasonable bill, with no surprises, compared to other estimates. This may not be the most modern auto repair shop in Dallas, but more importantly, you will be dealing with an Owner and mechanics you can trust. Highly recommended! I would refer my Mother to this shop ... no slick service advisers!
