Window Replacement reviews in Pflugerville

  • I had to wait for the windows to come in, and then they were scheduled at 9 am and they showed up at 1 pm. They made a huge mess, they insisted on breaking the glass to get the windows out, so its an hundred degrees out so my air conditioner ran till 1030 at night because he left the window wide open. It was 6-7 pm and they were still on the 4 or 5th window, so they were here till 10:30 pm, and they still were not finished. Also w hen they were working till 10:30 a night they were working in the dark because they did not come with any additional lighting and had to come back the next day. We offered additional lighting but they declined it. So then that's when we noticed one window sash was cracked, they didn't notice, we had to tell them. The next day they were suppose to come back first thing in the morning, but the boss changed his mind and said they didn't need to come back til 1 pm. So that's why I rated them F on professionalism, they are window installers and they didn't even have any window cleaner to clean the finger prints off. The sash was replaced but the wrong half came in twice. That's why the job didn't get done till September 8th.

  • I am very happy that we chose this company to work with. We had all new windows and siding completed and they did a great job. They had great communication and were easily reachable, finished the job in one week, cleaned up our yard at the end of every day, were respectful of my house and space, and even worked their lunch break around my sons midday nap. I could not be more pleased with how this project turned out and am very lucky we found them.

  • These guys are great, start to finish. Georgia came out to do the estimate and didn't do a big sales push; just described all the features and answered all my questions. Jake came to do the exact measurements and was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The installation team was Herman and another gentleman whose name I didn't catch. They were here for two days and were spectacular: fast installation (even when they had to wrestle with some stubborn hardiplank on the back of the house) and extremely diligent about cleanup as they went, vacuuming each room when they were done with each window. They manufacture their own windows, so it takes a while for actual installation, but it's worth the wait (and if you can be flexible with scheduling, they can put you on a shortlist in case of cancellations). If you have any noise issues (our house backs onto a major road), I highly recommend their laminated glass option for additional soundproofing. We got this for three of our windows and it makes an amazing difference. But even their "regular" windows will help hugely with sound control. Ringer windows come with a ten-year warranty, but I doubt I'll have to use it. Highly recommended.

  • 4.5 hrs. late and a change in staff, but their staff (Katie, Josh) really do try to make it right and did make it right by not cancelling but getting another person out to do the job before i left town. Walter did the job and did a nice job bringing calm to the situation.

  • After checking some reviews on Angies List and after a couple of estimates that I though were outrageously high, I called Greg Ringer, the owner of Ringers Windows. I liked the fact that they are a local (Taylor TX) business and Mr. Ringer graciously invited me to come check out his manufacturing plant. He is a very cordial man and explained his different products completely without trying to rush me along and knowing that my purchase would not be very large (1,500 sq. ft house with 6 windows). I was very impressed with his business communication skills. He came over the next day after I called back for an estimate. After checking out my needs he gave me his estimate for which I am so grateful. It was almost half of the cost of one of my other estimates from a well known highly advertised business.
Jake the installation manager called me to come take the actual measurements. He arrived on time as promised. He was very professional and courteous. i paid him the deposit and he said it would be 6 to 8 weeks. I was surprised and pleased that my windows were ready to install in about 3 1/2 weeks.
Jake and his 3 installers arrived at the time they said they would. They were all highly skilled and replaced all 6 of my windows much quicker that I anticipated, They did an excellent job of making sure my alarm system on the windows worked as before. They cleaned up all the mess, I paid the balance due, and they were on their way.
My home is so much more quiet and I don't get any more pools of water on my windowsills  from condensation. And for the biggest test, after all of the rain we had here in Pflugerville since the installation, not a leak anywhere. And we had over 60 mph winds at times. I could see the trees blowing sideways, but there was hardly any noise.
I am so happy with my choice of Ringers and would highly recommend them to any one.

  • AC Solar took approximately 6 months to install solar panels.  Response times for phone calls and emails ranged from days to weeks.  All work was sub contracted out to multiple contractors without communication between contractors.  Weeks passed between sub contracted jobs such as windows and insulation on the home.  Contract with AC Solar states customer will pay 60% of project if the customer cancels even before the work is done and that is about $14,000.  Contractors had to be changed multiple times due to not having licenses to operate in Pflugerville.  First set of rebates ($3000) for referring three people and keeping a sign in the yard will not happen.  I refuse to recommend to anyone or help them advertise in any manner.  Now October from a projected started in February, everything is not completed.  I was sent forms to sign verifying equipment I have never used or seen before was working properly.  I requested an onsite visit and was offered monitoring software.  Last week I was told the power company I have had for 5 years does not give solar rebates.  I listed my power company on the initial forms in February.  I am trying to keep this as factual as possible and less opinionated.  It is difficult to explain the challenges I have faced with this company at every turn without showing an extreme level of frustration. I never had this experience with a home improvement project or a business and I am unclear as to the next steps to take outside of this review and a complaint to the BBB. I have all email and voice mail communications with them saved.  If anyone has had similar experiences with any other company and has some suggestions, I would really appreciate you sharing your insight with me and letting me know what other steps can be taken.

  • The Glass Guru workers were PROFESSIONALS when they showed up. They were over and hour late due to other work invoice they were working. They were scheduled for 1130 am. I had to call the company office to inform them that no one showed up during the scheduled time. The workers did show up almost immediately after my call and were apologetic and friendly. They came in and took out the old window and put in a new insulated window. The workers answered all the question. The work took about 30 minutes or less. I certainly will recommend and use them again regardless of them showing up late. We are happy with the quality of work and will need other windows replaced.

  • It went very well. They did a good job and they're excellent. There was a miscommunication between me and them because there was a problem when one of the windows was made backwards from what we wanted. They had no problem remaking that window which was a real suprise because it wasn't their fault. It was my fault for not understanding the terminology that they were using to describe which way the windows open but when I pointed out to the installer that it just wouldn't work the way they built it, they rebuilt the window to meet our needs with no additional cost.

  • My experience with them didn’t go very well.  For each pane and each screen that they had to take off they charged me more.  I ended up paying close to $300 instead of the $99 deal.  They responded to phone calls and emails and they did a good job.  I wasn’t happy with what it cost me in the end.  They were very nice.

  • My new windows are fabulous. The old ones were single pane on a south-east facing wall, and absolutely cooked the master & kitchen, even with tint and heavy curtains. The new ones are beautiful, quieter, and orders of magnitude cooler even with the full sun in them in the morning. I am thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
