Tree Service reviews in Pflugerville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I never received a diagnosis or quote from this company. Each day my shrubs look worse, and I was counting on this company to diagnose, quote and treat. I submitted the request through Angies website. Very disappointed.

  • Two Texas red oaks had leaves that were very light green. I am sure the treatment will take a little time to see results. He was very helpful! I had another tree company out about two years ago and they were supposed to come back the following spring to treat my trees. Never heard from.

  • An arborist from Bartlett came out to assess a sickly-looking tree in my back yard. He informed me that the tree was dead due to wood boring insects, and he gave me a quote for removing the tree and performing a few other tree services on my property. The arborist was very nice and knowledgeable, and I appreciate his help in diagnosing my tree. The quote for the tree services, however, was pretty high, so I ended up selecting another company to do the work.

  • Brent's did a really good job with my trees. They removed a dead ash tree from my back yard and ground the stump, removed a dead shrub, and trimmed the small live oak in my front yard. My trimmed tree looks much nicer, and they left my yard clean after hauling away the dead wood. Their price was much better than competitors (half of what another company quoted me for the same work). There were a few minor communication issues, but all in all I was pleased with the service I received from Brent's.

  • I had Austin Tree Service come out and give me an estimate to remove a dead tree and trim my small live oak. The arborist who came to my house was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me some good free advice regarding my yard, and the price he quoted me seemed reasonable. Another company ended up giving me a lower bid, and because of financial difficulties I ended up hiring that company to do the work. Although they did a fine job, I do believe that I would have had fewer communication problems and a more professional experience if I had chosen Austin Tree Service. I therefore do recommend Austin Tree Service and am holding onto their card in case I need tree services again in the future.

  • I hired Abel and his crew to clean up the yard of our rental house that had become overgrown with all the rain. He met me promptly at the house and got to work as soon as we agreed upon a price. The yards, including the back alleyway and driveway, look great! I definitely would hire him again. In fact, we're already talking about it!

  • The provider did a very good job of trimming the trees. It was a little hard to schedule with them because they were overwhelmed with business so I did have to call a couple of times to make sure I was not forgotten about. But overall, it went well - I'm happy with the service.

  • I found out about Joe's from a coworker who had used them twice, and was very happy with both experiences.  I'd filed away their number, intending to call them, for about 9 months.  When I realized that I'd procrastinated so long that some of the Pecan's branches were now dragging the ground killing the grass, I finally made the call.
Manny came out on Tuesday and went through everything I wanted done.  He made some thoughtful suggestions about management for the Arizona Ashes and the Magnolias, made notes about what we were going to do to each tree, and gave me a quote.  Honestly, it was several hundred dollars cheaper than I thought it would be (don't use that as an excuse to raise prices, Joe!) and I hired them right then and there.
Manny told me his crew would come out the next day after lunch, and I made arrangements to take off work to be there while they were trimming.   The next morning, they called me at work at 9:45 in the middle of a meeting and told me that the crews were there, but the gates were locked.  Umm, yeah, guys - that's because you told me you'd be there after lunch!  I don't mind you getting to me earlier if you can, but if you change the plans, you've got to let me know!  That's the reason for the slightly lower rating on punctuality.
The crew that came in worked like crazy, and there were soon limbs and leaves falling everywhere.  Samuel, the crew supervisor, checked with me every time they had an option about whether to cut or keep a particular limb so that I'd be satisfied with the job.  I had them go back and cut a few more limbs that I thought needed to go, and they were cheerful about doing everything I asked.
When they got done, those guys were out there with rakes, trash cans, and leaf blowers cleaning up, and when they left you couldn't even tell they'd been there, aside from the fact the trees look 1000% better.
I'll hire Joe's again - it's nice to find a company like this that you feel like you can establish a relationship with.

  • Went very well. The price seems a bit on the expensive side. The price listed was just to raise the canopy. I also wanted to some of it cut which was miscommunicated to me but at least when I asked them to do it, they obliged which was nice of them. Keep in mind of this when asking for quotes.

  • Leo was awesome! I called on Saturday and left a message requesting a return call so that I could get an estimate for mowing the front and backyard. Leo promptly called back on Monday and scheduled to meet with me this evening to give me an estimate. Not only was Leo on time, but he provided me with education on the trees in our front yard. Leo informed me that the poles that were installed when the trees were initially planted could be removed as the wire had begun cutting into the trees. Leo also noticed that the mulch around our trees was not properly put down and informed me of the correct way mulch should be placed to prevent the tree from rotting. After I showed Leo the rest of our yard, he not only provided me with an estimate, but offered to cut the lawn today given that it's suppose to rain the rest of this week. I gladly accepted the offer. While cutting the backyard, Leo came across some wild flowers and asked me if I wanted them mowed down or not.  I was impressed and appreciated Leo asking me what my preference was rather than assuming he knew what I would want. I  strongly recommend Leo to anyone needing lawn services as this young man is hard working, has reasonable prices, great attention to detail, and is extremely knowledgeable.
