Car Window Tinting reviews in Pearland

  • This is the 2nd vehicle I have tinted by Captain Tint. He did an excellent job on my previous vehicle so I knew I had to call him again. David recommended an upgrade to the 3M film I had used before only when he was on site, no pressure or upsell tactics. He also comes to your house how can you beat that?

  • we called him to do the car tint on our new car. he went to our home and showed us the different types (shades) of 3m tint that we could use. don't expect him to finish the job in an hour. he takes his time to do the quality job that we expect from a service provider. he cleans up after he finished the job, much to my liking. he also hands in the lifetime factory warranty of 3m.

  • From our first phone call through installation and follow-up, Joseph, Kim, and the employees at Accent Windows were professional and courteous. Kim does an excellent job of communicating throughout the process. Everyone associated with Accent Windows was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were very impressed with their service and highly recommend Accent Windows.

  • I needed some windows tinted on my home. I found Capt. Tint through the Internet and tried them because they had many positive reviews. After my experience I understand why. They demonstrated professionalism and integrity. They didn't try to sell me more than I needed. The work was completed on schedule and the end result was awesome. I would definitely recommend Capt.Tint for any window tinting needs.

  • This is the 2nd vehicle I have had David do of ours.  Mobile tinting service.  Highly rated!!  Called on Friday and he came Saturday afternoon to tint my windows in my garage.  Very friendly and does great work with 3M film.

  • employee dexter arrived at home on Saturday and he installed tint in no time and he did an excellent job.

spoke to owner several times to obtain a Saturday appointment to install window tint at home on storm door. no receipt provided at time of install. called and requested receipt to be mailed. received receipt in mail but does not say the type of product purchased and/or installed, warranty info, etc. only info on receipt is amount charged, date, company name, credit card used to pay.

quoted $80 to $120 over the phone. charged $120 for window tint.

most window tint companies have a minimum amount for the job or they will not come to your home. this info is not listed on angies list and you find out when you call the company for an appointment

excellent product solar guard, excellent installer - dexter, reasonable price, but owner needs to improve on responsiveness and professionalism for home window tint installs

  • Gregg (the owner) did a FANTASTIC job of installing solar screens (grid style) on all 18 front (west facing) windows and solar film on the front storm door.
I am extremely pleased with his work and will hire him again to install solar film on all east facing windows. He came on time and responded to my emails and phones promptly. There was minor  issue (noticed a few days after the installation) with one of the arch window  solar screens. Gregg took care of it by installing a new solar screen (in fact, today is Sunday 04/28 and he is installing the new solar screen right now.).

NEW UPDATE : I want to change my opinion of this professional to F .

Though. he DID a fantastic job initially BUT when one of the solar screen on large arch window got damaged during a storm in my area, I realized (I took high resolution photo, inspected the screen from the bedroom  and even used  a high-powered binoculars) this person DID A VERY VERY LOUSY JOB.

I contacted him to find out if it was covered by manufacturer's (Pheifer)  warranty.  Instead he replied via email that I should contact my home insurance. He is such a MORON that he said that he installed all these windows professionally without even looking at the photo. I contacted Phifer and sent them a high-resolution picture of damaged screen via email. Kathy Earnest of Phifer replied that it is a POOR WORKMANSHIP which caused the damage and it is NOT covered by their warranty. Their warranty covers ONLY the fabric and NOT the poor workmanship by screen fabricator and the installer.

As evident by the photograph and by other means of observation, This MORON just did NOT secure the bottom half of the screen to the frame of the underlying window and STILL stick to his opinion that he did a GREAT job. I am calling him moron because he replied this via email.

By the way, I have all email correspondence with him and I intend use if he does NOT replace this screen FREE OF CHARGE. First, he offered me to install a new screen for $350, then he said he will do it for $100. So far, he has NOT visited my home to inspect it physically ......I am sure he is afraid that he has to eat his own words that he did a fantastic job.

I even asked a local solar screen company to come out and give me an estimate. They came and they removed the screen and NOW I have the screen with me. Both of us (me and the technician from other company) realized that Gregg W Ferree (owner of ARMORTEK - who actually installed these screens)) ONLY secured the (top hald of) screen with 5 nails/bols/screws and did NOT bolt the bottom half at all.

I sent him the picture of the (damaged) screen sitting in my living room and requested (indirectly) that he should come and inspect for himself via email. So far (2 days are gone) and he has NOT responded. I am positive that he will NOT come.

If he keeps this matter in limbo, I am contemplating to take him to court.

In my honest opinion, he is an utterly incompetent in his skills (after coming multiple times he could NOT install these screens properly) , unprofessional in attitude who can not be trusted. He will good the job superficially OK so you will be happy.

Remember, there is NO (written) warranty on the workmanship (by the screen fabricator) as well by the installer.  The installer is Gregg W. Ferree (ARMORTEK Window Tint Experts Solar Screens & Paint Protection

  • Being from Ohio, we had no clue how HOT it gets in Houston in the summer!  We obviously needed to do something for our windows to prevent the heat transfer, and took a chance on a couple of high windows with 3M film. I have to say, from start to finish the process went smoothly with obvious professionals handling the job.  Homer Rhodes the salesman was excellent, and went out of his way over a holiday to visit us when he could have been spending time elsewhere, what dedication!  He and his assistant (name skips my mind or I would've named him) answered all our questions to our satisfaction without rushing us. When we finally decided to do the windows, Jesus and his assistant were punctual, did an excellent job in film placement and explanation of how to care for the film.  All in all, a very good experience. The film does prevent heat transfer by at least ~50% is my estimate, but light in the transoms in our bedroom is still a minor issue, even though we have the NightVision darker series.  Still deciding if I want it for the rest of the windows or go with shades.

  • On Thursday, April 28th, I received a call from Sun Pro informing me that Scott would be at my residence between 9:00 and 10:00. Scott arrived promptly at 9:00 a.m. My neighbor came over and said that Scott had installed his window film and said that Scott was very good at what he does. He asked me where I wanted him to start and I replied "the Master Bedroom" because I wanted dark window film for that room and I was considering medium dark for the breakfast room and family room and I wanted to see what dark looked like although Bob had informed me earlier that if I didn't like the medium window film, they would remove and replace it with the dark tint at no additional cost and vice a versa. After he finished the master bedroom windows, I immediately realized that medium dark wouldn't work for my other two rooms and I wanted dark window film for the entire house with the exception of the master bath window which he tinted with white frost. It provides 100% privacy but allows frosted light in the master bathroom. He worked quickly and efficiently and had successfully tinted 37 windows in only 7 hours. He completely cleaned up and left my home with the appearance he was never here. I was so satisfied with his work that I asked and he staked one of his company signs in my front yard advertising his company. This is the first time that I've done this as others have asked to display their company signs and each time I've said "no". Sun Pro's professionalism and integrity is beyond reproach. After getting approval from my rental property townhouse in the medical center, I'm planning on having them tint my townhouse windows as well. I simply cannot say enough about Sun Pro - they rock!! Bonuses: (1) Scott removed and reinstalled 37 window trim and window blinds (2) Scott moved furniture that was in his way and moved it back in their original position and (3) after cleaning out my Buffet in the Dining Room, he helped me move it so that he could do the dining room windows and he helped me move it back.

  • Initial consultation with reprsentative was very good. Scheduling and installing product went smoothly. However, 3 months later, noticed very visible bubble in one of the windows ( in family room). One month and 3 phone calls later I am still waiting on a specific date/time for repair. Had I not had this problem with trying to get the bubbled fixed, I would have given Tint Houston an "A". I placed "yes" under would use them again, however, should have had "uncertain" category.
