Dr Turner has been my obgyn since I was pregnat with my first child. He was delivered in October 2007. My second was born August 2011. He is great as far as bedside manner and talking to you as his patient. He has a way of speaking that can be very relaxing and take the stress away for those uncomfortable appointments you wish you didnt need to do. His staff is a little snooty straight to the point and dont make an effort to even fake a smile. All and all the good out weighted the bad untill my last appointment last fall (2013).
I was going for my yearly check up and talk about getting on birth control. I wanted to find a birth control that I could use untill my husband and I decided when we wanted to start trying again knowing it would possibly be something in the next year to year and a half. I talked to him about that and told him about my concerns with birth control affecting my ability to get pregnant after the fact. So he named off some things that he thought would work for me. When I asked him about side affects to one of them he almost seemed appalled that I asked and then answered that I could find that information on their website. I spent the next 10 minuted asking questions and getting short almost yes or no answers. From the information he gave me I chose Depo provera. I asked him once more if this birth control fell into my needs to be able to get pregnant quickly after coming of of it and he said yes and promptly asked me if I made my decision.
During the period of my first shot my husband and I decided we were going to start trying. When I talked to a friend and told her about it she was shocked that my dr even suggested the depo. I looked it up myself amd it can take anywhere from 6 to 10 months after my shot before I can get pregnant! I feel so betrayed my Dr Turner. Weather he did or did not know is both equally hurtful. I trusted my dr and he failed me. I would think diffrently if he simly told me he didnt not know or thought it would be best for me to research it on my own. Or to at least mention there was a POSSIBILITY it could take so long even of he didnt think it would affect me for so long. Now that we are trying I will be loking for a new OBGYN.

I have had the Dand C procedure before but always in a hospital setting. He assured me that he had all the equipment needed for satisfactory results to do this procedure in his office. He explained how much cheaper and quicker it would be in his office and that I would enjoy the convenience of not having to go into the hospital very early, going through the pre-op procedures such as an x-rays and blood work etc.. I felt rather hesitant so I contacted my internist and he also assured me it was perfectly safe. Dr. Meltzer said I should get the results in about a week and his office would call.
After about a week I did not receive a call so I called Dr. Meltzer's office. His nurse or other office personal put me on hold for a very long time, I suppose she couldn't find the results or worse. Finally she said she had to call me back. The results could mean cancer, so I was concerned. When she called back I was told that the lab where my slides were sent said they did not have enough specimen in order to make a diagnosis. Then this office person said Dr. Meltzer wants to set up an appointment for me to go to Women's Hospital to have another Dand C done right away. I was so shocked I was speechless. What did they mean the lab did not have enough specimen for testing? My entire uterus was scraped! The lady at his office went ahead and made the appointment at the Women's Hospital. I considered my dilemma all night. It seemed to me a bit risky to have this same procedure done again so soon. So I called back the next day and told Dr. Meltzer's staff to cancel the new Dand C procedure at the hospital and I wanted to discuss all this with my internist before I did anything. When I told my internist he was surprised and did not encourage me to have that same procedure done again. Then I went to 2 other doctors and also discussed this with a nurse friend. The reply from these experts in the field was first shock and then disbelief. A few days later I receive a copy of a letter Dr. Meltzer sent to my internist and it included a copy of the lab report. He was quickly trying to cover it up with his side of an explanation. I noticed on the lab report that Dr. Meltzer received the lab report at least 3 days before I called them.
I think his office was grossly incompetent in the way everything was handled. I should have gotten an inkling when I looked around his personal office and saw and quot;a doctors officeand quot; in a very sloppy condition with junk piled everywhere. There was no orderliness about his person. I will never go to that doctor again and I would warn other women to reconsider him as their doctor. He even had the nerve to send my insurance company a bill.

I absolutely love Dr. Tarrant. Any time I have questions, she answers them in a realistic, down to earth manner. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a physician. Since she travels to different offices during the week, sometimes it's hard to get an appointment on the right day at the right location, but I've always called ahead of time and set up my appointments.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kelly Hodges at the newly opened Texas Children's Pavilion for Women OB/GYN in Pearland. The office staff and nurses are very friendly and the building is very nice. Dr. Hodges is very personable. Since I was a new patient, she took quite a bit of time to discuss my previous medical history. She did not seem to want to rush to the next patient. She also inquired about my family. I was pleased with her suggestions about my medical care. I would highly recommend her.

I have had good experiences with all of the doctors there. They are always actually on time with their appointments. I never had to wait past my appointment time. I would give the bedside manner a B because one of the doctors who saw me was not that great. I wouldn't give that one an A.

I have been going to see Dr. Wynne for about six years. I absolutely love that she doesn't such me. She takes the time to listen to my stories and concerns. She asks me intelligent questions. I like her a lot. Because she is willing to spend so much time with patients she is usually running behind on her appointments.
