    GPJ Construction Corp
They can put up a structure, skeleton and foundation but they have no skill in regards to smooth finishes, details or quality. They have no skill set to work with natural stone or quality products. The subcontractor who put up my bathroom tile was an amateur, not only did he waste my material (that I paid for), he couldn't even put a smooth wall or lay a floor. They charge you prices to install expense material but subcontract it out to cheap labor so they can pocket the costs. I entered a contract with GPJ on October 28th, 2019 and they eloped from my home without completion of the project mid January 2020. Jose, Guiseppe and Eduardo took $114,912.31 of my hard earned money and left my place completed trashed- literally and figuratively. Everything was a change of order and they left my project with more than 50% incomplete. Their contract asks for 40%, 40% and then the last 20% at time of completion. I abided by their contract, paying 80% in addition to all the change of orders they asked for (totaling close to $20,000). Then they stopped answering my calls and my texts. They finally showed up at my house saying they can't complete my project because "it's too stressful" and "your standards are too high". I have two a 2 year old baby boy, they left me with no windows, no floors, no doors on my top and bottom floor. My bathroom was left with no toilet, no faucet, no vanity. They left all their trash in my backyard and then threatened to call the police on me for having their "tools". I have mold growing on my walls. I can go on and on. It's a nightmare. And they have the audacity to post pictures of my home on instagram as if they are still working on it! I don't want what happened to happen to any one else. Please protect your self, these guys are con-artists and liars. They have no decency. DO NOT trust any of the other reviews- I doubt they have any validity and was likely put up by friends. Any defense they put in reply to this will be lie I have way too much proof in pictures and documents for them to have anything to stand on. Be smart, vet out your contractors, check how long they have been business, hope no one else has to go through this.

    Danny Did It
Danny was great to work with. I needed to "update" my house to get ready to sell. Danny did excellent work. You can tell he takes pride in his job. I really appreciated that he was in constant contact with me. Danny replied to every text and even sent me pictures of how my remodel was progressing. I would certainly hire Danny again.

Nathan and Josh were very punctual, explained everything and gave us recommendations. They were so professional. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely hire them again without hesitation.

    Carrales Construction and Remodeling
CCR has done several projects for us and we couldnt have asked for a better company to work with! Eddie sat down and worked with us every step of the way in answering all of our questions, explaining pricing and giving us important information upfront. The first project we hired CCR for was building a deck in our backyard, which we now enjoy every weekend! When it comes to any work needing to be done inside or outside our house, we trust CCR!

    Tx Kitchen & Bath
Tx Kitchen & Bath completed our bathroom remodel in a very professional manner. They worked with our schedule to complete the job and did everything we requested. Most importantly the remodel was completed for the estimated price with no unforeseen costs or additional charges. The company representative, Muhammad, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We are very pleased with our remodeled master bathroom.

    Rick O's Construction & Remodeling
Working with Rick and his crew was great. I met with Rick for an initial visit and he provided a quote, then met with Rick and Rudy to discuss cabinets in more detail. He also suggested an interior decorator, Suzanne with S2 designs, who helped with color choices and picking out kitchen components. The work was done very professionally and his work crew lead, Joshua, had a lot of very helpful suggestions, and helped me out when we needed assistance. The cabinets came out beautifully; we had a custom-designed microwave cabinet and a custom island that are both beautiful and functional. The stove was vented to the outside and works much better. We replaced the stove, countertops, backsplash, most upper cabinets, one lower cabinet, floors, sink, faucet, and hardware. The best things about Rick were 1) his willingness to reuse cabinets that didn't need to be replaced. This is important to me to throw away usable cabinets, 2) his flexibility and willingness to work with us when things didn't go perfectly. As an example, the granite guys installed our sink as an overmount because it wouldn't fit as an undermount. We didn't like it. Rick came up with the idea to buy another piece of granite then install the extra granite in the master bathroom. It cost money to fix ($1300) but we got the look we wanted in the kitchen and much better counters in the bath, which really needed replacing. 3) We had some artwork (glass and backsplach centerpiece) we wanted installed in the kitchen and Rick was very helpful making that happen, 4) Rick also hired quality subs and checked on progress at least once a week. The final product is amazing; we have our "country kitchen" with modern fixtures, updated cabinets, our artwork and better fixtures seamlessly installed. Things to know: 1) At least for me, his bid was higher than the other two I requested. However, I liked him and his plan best and went with my gut feeling. 1) Would agree with other reviewers that you have to be prepared for his crew to start with relatively little notice. He will provide a two-week window and I would start moving stuff out of the kitchen once you get this notice. 2) Rick has you buy a lot of your own stuff (backsplash, grout, kitchen pendants). This was fine with us, but you should be aware when interpreting the quote. He provides a very detailed quote that will indicate what the homeowner is buying. 3) As with almost every remodel, it took longer than expected. We were told 6 weeks and it took 12 weeks by the time the microwave cabinet was complete. Some of this time was waiting for things to come in that we didn't anticipate, some was just things take awhile to get done when you want them done right. Overall very satisfied and would use Rick again in a second. Cost: $29,910 for Rick; approx. $10K in addition for materials. TOTAL (with master bath countertops, sinks and faucets) $40K

    Interior You
With Byron coming from an engineering background he can take a challenging space and come up with very unique ideas, things you would never think of. The virtual reality tools he uses enables us to visualize what we want to achieve is fabulous. He is very patient, professional and communicates very well when dealing with our decision making. We are very impressed and excited as we continue to work with Byron.

    Guzman's Tile & Remodeling
It went very well. Mr. Guzman made my dream bathroom a reality. Everything I had in mind, he made it happen. He made the cabinets, made a larger shower, tiled, and made shelves. He has also replaced tile in two other bathrooms, replaced a tub in one, and took out a tub and made a shower in the other. He has been fair in pricing and has done a great job. We had him come back and replace our front door and paint the outside of our house including replacing the wood siding. He also replaced our windows. We will be calling him for future jobs as well.

    Texan Construction Group LLC
My husband and I bought a house in January of 2019, we hired a contractor that I had gotten from Angies list in which I thought we were safe considering Angies List claims to do background checks. It wasnt until after we hired him and his brother in law wore a shirt with another company on it, I went home and searched that company and found bad reviews for this AR 1 Construction. I noticed that Shawn Rodricks was the owner of this company and the Cambright Construction that we hired. As I did more research and our experience with Shawn went on, I realized this guy had written hot checks, taken customer money and walked off of jobs and had multiple LLCs under his name and now his wifes name (Tania Rodricks). My husband and I had to ask Shawn on a daily basis when there would be progress at our home, All we got on a weekly basis was lies and empty promises. After 5 months on basically 10% progress at our home and finding out that we had to redo half of the plumbing and all of the electrical due to Shawn having unlicensed workers do these duties, My husband and I had to fire Shawn and since then having to deal with his wife, Tania Rodricks sending me a nasty message and threatening my family. I have created a Facebook page for us customers that have been scammed to get some sort of justice. There are so many customers that they have taken money from, promised to pay back and hasn't done so. They have stolen large amounts of money from customers and left a mess to clean up in our home as we have had to redo most of he work that he did.

    Luxz Painting & Design
Our story begins with the flooding of my mother-in-laws home due to Harvey. Many contractors and sub contractors worked on her home with varying, mostly not good results. I first contacted Eddie and Luxz Painting & Design to paint the outside of her house and he made a great first impression with his knowledge and detail of what needed to be done. We showed him the inside of her house, and he went room to room and gave us a quote on what it would take to finish the job. They took it as a personal challenge to get her back in her home as soon as possible. I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with the results. Eddie and his crews did exactly what they said they would do at the price we agreed on. He was always available to answer our questions, often calling us to get our input or approval on something he thought would look better. We now have a company we will trust our own home to for any kind of painting or remodeling work, knowing they are trustworthy, skilled, and dependable.
