the technician arrived as scheduled.   I told him that my purpose for ordering the toilet tune-up was to identify why the toilet did not flush completely the first time but required a second flush to eliminate all waste.  The technician informed me that would require a specialist to come and snake the toilet drain.  all he could do was replace the flap and flush valve inside the toilet bowl because that covered 90% of the problems they generally uncovered.  he was polite and described the work as he performed it.  The toilet tune-up I purchased covered the cost of replacing the flap but he convinced me I needed a new flush valve as well for $89.  Both of these products have helped the toilet operation so I am pleased with that service.

The technician then proceeded to flush the hot water heater which he stated can also impact the performance of the toilet.  Upon entering the attic we both smelled gas and he determined it was coming from the 2 water heaters.  We discussed the options of repairing or replacing and based on the age of the water heaters I opted to replace them.  The technician turned off the water heaters due to the gas leaks and promised they would shuffle their schedule the next day so they could install the new water heaters, since we were now without hot water. We also discussed the costs and benefits of  tankless water heaters.  Initially, I opted to replace the current water heaters with similar products.  The technician called his boss while at our house and explained the emergency of correcting our issue along with pictures of the water heaters.  While the technician was on the phone, my husband and I discussed the costs of  a tankless water heater and decided it may be more beneficial.  When the technician returned, we told him we changed our minds and wanted  the tankless water heater.  He called his boss again and came back and asked of what was the square footage of our home because we may need an extra large tank which costs $500 more than the price we were quoted. The technician also stated that his boss was upset because of the "mis-quote" and it would help if we purchased a service contract.   As it was late in the evening (approximately 8pm by now), the technician stated we could finalize all the paperwork when they came the next day to replace the water heaters.

By 10am the next day I had not heard from Trademark so I called to get an indication of when they might come to the house.  The person I spoke with acted as though he was unsure of our situation (although I know it was the same name as the person the technician spoke with the prior evening) and promised to call me back within 10 to 15 minutes.  After 2 hours I called again and the receptionist stated he was on another line and would call me back.  30 minutes later Trademark called back and stated they would not be able to get us on the schedule that day.  I told him that was ok because I found another company that could.  he sounded surprised and asked if it was because of the delay in calling me back.  I responded it was because they had not met the expectations they set.  I did not appreciation the confusion created the night before over the costs of the tankless water heater and the need to buy a service contract to minimize the loss to the company.  Since my dealings with Trademark, I've learned that the size of the water heaters is based on the number of people in the household, not the square footage of the house, so we would not require an "extra large" tankless water heater.

I should also note that, as a courtesy, Trademark did not charge me the $89 for the flush valve for the toilet.

2 service men came out exactly on time. One started cleaning the grill the other finding the gas leak in the line. The guys were very professional and informative. They could locate the gas leakage which our gas provider could not find. I loved the fact that I saved around $50 because of Angie's list discount. Grill looks great and ready to be used..... Given the fact that we had inherited a terrible grill when we bought the house !! I would have liked if it was a tad bit cheaper but great work overall. Will definitely recommend their service. Haven't used the grill yet but I look forward to grilling.

We've used Crown Plumbing in the past and have always been very satisfied with the work performed. This time they were called because both sinks in the upstairs bath were backed up. They wouldn't drain and kept filling with water even though no one was using them. I called Crown and they returned my call within the hour. They set up an appointment, arrived on time, and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem. Algae had grown in connecting pipes from the AC drain. The problem was fixed within minutes and we were shown how to prevent it from happening again in the future. We will continue to use the services of this company in the future.

I contacted Cavazos on Wednesday, March 7 to request an estimate.  Roland came out on Thursday and gave me an estimate of $950.00. I got a second estimate the next day from another Angie's List provider in my area, but the estimate was more than double. I called Roland late Thursday to ask them to do the work. They would have come on Friday, but bad weather was expected, so we scheduled on Monday morning.  They arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time and got right to work.  I was not at home when they were there, but after all the rain and the need to excavate around the foundation in the flowerbed, I was expecting lots of muddy footprints on the sidewalk, some torn up shrubbery, etc, but everything looked just like it did before they arrived.  You could hardly tell they had been in the flowerbed and would never know they had been doing work in the kitchen.  They finished sooner than expected and deducted $100.00 off the bill!  We are going to need some other plumbing work done in the near future and I won't have to shop around.  My mother-in-law was home during the work and said the crew was very friendly and professional.  After they pressure tested the gas line, they checked the stove and showed her how to manually light it until I could get the electrical connection restored. My father-in-law was a Master Plumber and the work Cavazos did reminded me of the pride Dad always took in his work. I've already told my daughter and friends in the Pealand area who to call next time they need a plumber.

I was noticing a smell in my home that was similar to the additive they add to natural gas so you can smell it. I tracked the smell down to my utility room which has my washer/dryer. After shutting off the gas to the dryer I called Cavazos Plumbing to come check for a gas leak and fix it if needed. Within an hour there was a technician at my door. He checked the dryer gas connection and did not find a leak. However, he agreed there was a very natural-gas like smell in the utility room. Together we discovered my deep freeze had stopped working some time ago, and the smell was the rotting food that was in it. Since this was a "false alarm" the technician told me there was no charge for the visit. I don't know many plumbing services that would make a service call without giving at least a "trip charge." I still chose to give the technician a tip for being so gracious. Based on this job I can't really vouch for their plumbing skills, but I like the way they do business.

They came, did estimate, then came back next day and replaced the line. Cost was cheaper than estimate because of Angie's List coupon (5% off). They were very good!

While our AC was being checked, the tech noticed a gas smell in the attic. I called Cavazos, they came out quickly and found the problem, fixed it in no time!
