    Home Sweet Home Improvements
Having the Home Sweet Home Improvement team was truly the best decision I've made in hiring a remodeling contractor. Professionalism and attention to details was very evident. Our final product of the Kitchen make over by far exceeded our expectations. Overall quality of work performed was TOP notch. In addition, not only did crews show up, they were on time, took scheduled lunch breaks and cleaned up at the end of each day. All this was a huge plus in comparison to other remodel jobs around the neighborhood. If you are needing remodeling ideas, reasonable pricing with quality work that includes cabinetry and woodworking, Home Sweet Home Improvements is your team.

Good. Miguel and workers were very pleasant. Have to call Miguel with a question and perhaps lower/better support the base of the new door. Miguel had to leave before the job was completed and his worker did not speak English (difficult to communicate with) nor clean up the best, but overall the job was satisfactory.

    CertaPro Painters of Pearland

We were prepping our house for sale.  We needed the work to start and complete as soon as possible.  CertaPro showed up exactly when they said they would for the estimate and invested quality time explaining how they do business.  Good presentation.  We received three bids, CertaPro had a price that was 10% below the other bidders.

The key contract and work approach that closed the deal:  1) they could start immediately, which we needed.  2) They estimated 4 work days to complete all needs, they finished in 3.5 work days (with time off for the 4th of July weekend as we agreed).  and 3) they accepted our signature as a contract to start, no 10% down payment.

The deal was estimated and accepted on 30-June.  The work began on 02-July and completed on 08-July with 3 days off over the 4th of July weekend.

On day one all the contractors that would be working on the project were introduced.  Each day, one to three contractors arrived at 8AM as scheduled.  The number varied based on the type of work to be performed for each day.

We were pleased with the final results of all requested work.  Of special note, We had some warped wood and water damage around the rear door frame.  One spot had warped wood that was pulling away from the frame and the base of door frame had water damage.  The damage, while minor, was very visible for anyone entering through the rear door. We only requested a best effort on the repair, but the results were quite good.  The option would have been to replace the door frame.  We'll leave that as a project for the next owner.

    Turnkey Painting Plus
Turnkey Painting Plus and crew did an excellent job in making our home look like new.  They were reasonably priced and executed the work plus a few extra items on time and budget.  I would use again and highly recommend.

    M & M Roofing Co Inc
The guys showed up as planned and finished the work and was packed up and ready to leave in little over an hour.  Obviously well trained and skilled men.  Have had no issues where the leaks around the dormers were repaired.  Actually the original roofer
did a poor job of flashing around the dormers and the roof of dormers were made of light weight, inferior quality materials and were not coated enough which caused early corrosion.
Overall we are pleased with the whole experience.

    Friendswood Remodeling
We have used the company in the past. Three technicians came out and completed the job in about 4 weeks. It only took that long because there was a lot of rain during the time. They were knowledgeable and timely. They had great attention to detail and got right down to business. They were very efficient workers. They put in an honest days work and were great with the cleanup. I had no problem scheduling the service.

    Houston Painting and Remodeling
Julio did a great job and offered some wonderful suggestion. We had him trim out our garage put 2 framed peg boards up, paint a game room, install an attic door and finish attic floor. The job was in done in time as agreed. He came out twice before given the job and made both appointments on time. He is detailed and has great ideas and suggestions. When he knew we wanted to finish attic floor lots of storage, he recommended a full size door from a closet vs. a pull down from garage so now all of my holiday decoration, floor cleaners, and other items are at my reach without bothering my husband, he so thanks you for that Julio! We had one hiccup in one of the projects and as soon as he was aware if it he was right on it and handled it in a very professional manner. He was a little higher but the final product speaks for itself. We like quality and he delivered. I have great photos but the Angie's List IPhone App needs serious work. I Will continue to get them posted.

    Carnival Custom Painting
We scheduled the date, but the day of the work, the company had to reschedule.  This was not a problem, and they made SURE I was going to be worked in SOON.  I was, and they showed up, completed the work, and left.  I was pleased with the results.

    Capmire Projects
This was a great experience.  We liked Cameron and Casey from our initial meeting, when we met with several companies for bids for the project.  They were both very easy to talk with, enthusiastic about the project, and we trusted them both right away.  The project progressed very quickly, and they were careful to isolate the construction site from the rest of the house so there was very little disturbance to our lives.  Occasionally there was a dusty footprint on our wood floor outside the construction site, and that's it -- otherwise you wouldn't know that there was drywalling and tile installation and woodworking going on in our house.  Everyone who came into the house to work on the bathroom was very polite and professional, and we are delighted with the quality of the tilework and the cabinetry.  We made several changes as the project went on, including redesigning one of the closet built-ins and changing the size of one of the bathroom vanities, and they gave us fair prices for the revisions.  They recut our mirrors and re-used our sinks so we didn't have to buy new, and they disposed of all the trash which was handled neatly; we didn't have to do anything.  My husband and I were very nervous because we have never owned a house, never mind done an expensive remodel, but we wanted a luxury bathroom that would be classic and have special features like a two-person shower and lots of storage space.  Casey and Cameron met with us many times and communicated with us almost daily to monitor the project and our satisfaction, and we always felt like we could talk to them about new ideas or any issues we were concerned about.  They met with us several times to introduce the carpenter or the tiler, and we discussed ideas and choices, so we felt in control of the project the whole time.   We had expected to spend quite a bit on the project to get what we wanted, and were completely satisfied; in fact, we weren't expecting to get the outdoor kitchen rebuilt at the same time so it was less than we expected to spend.   We are planning to do more remodeling around the house and yard and will definitely try to work with them again when we are ready for more projects.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY .  If you hire a builder, get copies of his insurance and bond before you do anything.  DO NOT give him money up front.  Reputable companies have credit and will not ask for money up front.  Call the city and verify the builder is active, insured and bonded.  See if there are complaints using BBB, Angies List and others.

Ensure they pull permits with the City you live in.  This will protect you from having improper installs.   When builders pull permits, the City will inspect the work each step of the way and they have to get everything approved as they go.  Avoid being told BBS will use a  State Inspector during your project to ensure everything is built right.  That can be misleading to get you confortable  and could really be a way to hide from the City.  Professional companies will use CERTIFIED ELECTRICIANS, PLUMBERS, ELECTRICIANS, STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS AND ROOFERS.  When these certified workers come to your property, get a copy of their cards, verify they are active (check with the city).  This will ensure you have a safe place built.

I started this project in Nov. 2010. At best this project was about a 1 month job.   It is now June 2011 and I have found through various inspections I paid for , that this job has numerous issues with the way it was built.  I now have a mess on my hands.  He does not have much to do to complete the job, but it will cost me $8,000-$10,000 to correct all the things he installed wrong.
