I do have premium channels. It costs about $250 a month. I think the price is high. It was low when I started. But it's one of those things where every year they hike the price a bit. The best part of my experience with them was that it was really easy to get it setup. Their technician was great and explained everything to me in terms of my internet and accessing all my channels etc. The worst thing is their automated system. When you have trouble, it's very, very, very difficult to get a human being on the phone. Sometimes, when you do get a human being on the phone, the person who is helping you troubleshoot does not know a lot about trouble shooting.

I think the price is fabulous and the service is decent. Here are some negatives.

-One is that my service goes out sometimes if it is too cloudy and always any time it rains.

-The On Demand selection is definitely lacking. They don't have all of the TV shows from the very beginning of the seasons, they only have like the last 2 or three episodes. I hate that because sometimes I forget to set a TV series that I want to watch to record and I cant just go on On Demand and catch up.

-Also if your internet connection is a little slow, good luck watching anything on On Demand. It just constantly buffers (its like trying to watch a video on YouTube on your phone). The only thing you can do is record the On Demand show or movie and watch it later.

-I do not like the fact that if your TV provider is Directv you can't go on like ABC or ABC Family and other network websites and watch the latest episodes of TV shows because it says that Directv does not have an agreement. There is a link to follow to sign a petition to try to get Directv to come to an agreement, but I'm sure that won't be happening anytime soon.

Needless to say, if you miss a few episodes of a season of a TV show, good luck catching up because they don't have the episodes on On Demand and you can't go the Network's website and watch online either because of the lack of an agreement.

I guess most of my issues with them is the On Demand portion of the service. It needs to be majorly improved.

But I will say that compared to all the other providers Directv is the most reasonable priced, which is the reason why I am sticking with them.

My experience was absolutely terrible. When I originally called to place the order for my services, the sales person told me my bill was going to be $145 plus taxes (or somewhere around there, i cant remember the exact amount because its been a while). That seemed like a good deal to me so I signed up. They came to set up my services a couple days later and I took off work for this which wasn't a big deal. Well when they got there they realized that they needed a specially certified tech to turn on my alarm system because it was wired for fire. The guy said that I should have been asked that question when I signed up but no one asked anything about my current system or even if I had one currently or not. So we had to reschedule but I asked if they could go ahead and set up my cable and internet so I wouldn't have to keep going without it. He said they cant split a work order which I thought was so ridiculous but whatever. So they expedited it and got me an appointment for the next day, so now I had to take off 2 days of work for this. Well they showed up and once again they did not send a certified tech to be able to work on my system, which was the whole reason for the reschedule in the first place! I was so mad! They tried to reschedule me AGAIN and leave without turning on my cable and internet but I threw a huge fit and said they need to get the tech out today or I dont want anything to do with that company. I simply could not take off a 3rd day of work. Do these people think everyone has unlimited vacation or what! So it took a couple hours but they finally got a tech to come out that day and set everything up. The cable service itself is actually very nice and very easy to use. It has a lot of neat things you can do it is advanced and has a great On Demand selection. I thought everything was going to be great. Well I should have known this company was bad news, based off of how bad my experience was just to get the services hooked up, but I went with it anyways. I get my bill in the mail a little while later and it is absolutely outrageous! I believe it was over $300 or something crazy like that! I immediately called them because it must be some kind of mistake. No it wasn't a mistake at all, they were charging me installation charges and activation fees(that i was never told about) plus my actual bill was going to be $250 NOT the $145 that was agreed upon. The reason my bill was going to be so much was because there were a bunch of fees and equipment rental charges that no one told me about. I understand that equipment rental charges are pretty standard practice with cable companies but that should have been included in the price that I was told when I signed up. Apparently that price was only for just service, nothing else. Well I don't care about that, I want to know how much I am going to be paying out of my pocket every month! So anyways, the person that i talked to said they were going to take care of this and get the agreed upon price. They told me to go ahead and pay $150 to take care of that month so i don't get any late fees, and i did just that. So i thought everything was going to be fine. I called back a while later to check on things and magically they have no record or any notes of my previous call where the person said they would get the agreed upon price or them telling me to pay exactly $150. I told them, what do they think i just pulled that random number out of no where and decided that is what i will pay, um no! I begged them to pull the recording of my phone call and they said  that its not that easy. So once again they said they would take care of it and I got my next bill and it was the previous amount plus another $250!!! Oh my goodness! I called them and went back and forth several times and they told me that they couldn't do the agreed upon price and they could lower it by lowering my packages, well i don't want lower packages, i want what was agreed upon. So i said i wanted to cancel and just call it quits and get my $150 back that i paid because someone told me to pay that but they have no record of that being said so i believe i deserved to get my money back, well they told me that i was now out of my 30 day guarantee so I still had to pay what i owed! At this point i lost it and was in tears. They strung me along until i was out of my 30 days so they could make me pay and make me stay in a contract with them. I told them that I don't care about the contract, I want my services shut off and they can send whatever bills they want, I will never pay them another dime! And that was the end of until i went on the better business bureau and wrote a formal complaint against them. I didn't think anything would come of it but i was so mad that i just had to do something about it, i just felt like why should this company be able to get away with this kind of horrible business ethics. surely i wasn't the only person that they had strung along for their 30 guarantee and then said well sorry but your out of luck. But complaining to the better business bureau was the best thing i could have done because i got a response from a very nice lady at Comcast resolutions, or something like that, and she was actually able to take care of everything. She was very apologetic. She got my balance with the company down to $0 and had them refund my $150. She tried to offer their services again to me and i told her that they could pay me a million dollars and i would never have Comcast again. I hope this helps some one realize they should avoid this company!

I went with AT&T over some competitors because of the internet speed. The customer service support is very good. They have lived up to my expectations as far as the internet speed. The few times that we've not had service and we've contacted them, they've been more than willing to provide credit for unavailable service. We had some problems with the installation, but they were pretty quick to fix those.
