  • They were able to start two weeks before promised. They were on time and keep me updated on their progress. They were polite and professional. They finished on time and were able to do some last minute changes.

  • Everything went off without a hitch. Megan was extremely helpful and keep us up to date and David and his crew were top notch. Knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk with about whatever came up. We are planning more renovations soon and they are our choice to work with again.

  • At first I was very pleased with Angel's services as he was very responsive, started when he said he would and was pleasant to work with. As with most remodel projects we hit a pretty major snag as the cabinetry wasn't built correctly. The cabinet maker was recommended by Angel and did not speak English very well, so Angel had to do most of the communicating with him. To his credit, he did argue my case with the cabinet builder and got him to re do the work that he had not completed as I had requested. Unbeknownst to me this apparently caused some tension between the 2 of them. I was very understanding about the delays at first and Angel even told me that I was one of his nice customers. It quickly became apparent that he was taking advantage of that, though, as once the new cabinets were completed he continually delayed getting them painted, outsourced the job to someone that did it extremely poorly, and then delayed it some more. During the delay he also decided to paint the already installed cabinets, which was a complete disaster. The smell was truly horrific and the paint job was terrible with tons of smudges, which I was told was my fault for not keeping my house at a particular temperature even though he never told me I needed to do that in the first place. Once he finally repainted it the smell was nothing like the first time so I don't know what he used the first time. It smelled toxic from the street. Long story short, Angel started the job in January and told me it would take a month to complete. I told him from the beginning that I was due to have a baby the beginning of March so it had to be done by then. I ended up having to call him from the hospital to tell him that I had the baby and insist that he finally come to the house to repaint all of the cabinetry that weekend so that I did not have to bring my baby home from the NICU to a hotel room or a freshly painted house. To his credit he did pay for me to stay in a hotel once I was discharged from the hospital, however, he should have painted it weeks before and avoided the entire horrible scenario of me going back and forth from the hotel room (with my husband and 3 other children) to the hospital after just delivering my baby. The icing on the really nasty cake was that he just decided to stop taking my calls after he painted the cabinets. There were several small items that he told me he would complete that he just decided he didn't need to do anymore. I had to call him 9 days in a row before he finally returned my call only to be extremely rude to me and tell me that he had done enough for me. Apparently, the delay caused by his cabinet guy was very inconvenient for him so it was wrong for me to expect him to still finish the work he had already agreed to do. So, if everything goes according to plan on your project you will probably find Angel to be a perfectly sufficient contractor. However, If you have any delays you may be treated very poorly and made to feel that you are unreasonable and inconveniencing him because he has already moved on to other jobs and yours is no longer important. If you are nice enough to pay him for most of the work he's done, like I was, then he is likely to not return your calls at all.

  • The painting and dry wall repair was excellent however the flooring was less than acceptable. The glue has been coming up between the cracks - this was a dining room and the bathroom upstairs. I had vinyl floor put in instead of the flooring already there. I called Dry Force and he came out and said it was probably from a leak underneath the floor and was not interested in trying to make it good at all. Their after care is terrible. I would never hire them again. Some of it was paid by my insurance and some I paid for myself. I am not sure how much I paid out of pocket, but I believe it was well over $1,000.

  • They were professional, on time, and went above and beyond our expectations. The multi-room remodel took one month to complete. We trusted the people working in our house and we were able to move out without any worries, so they could have multiple crews working at one time. They wanted our input so the final product was exactly what we wanted, and they also were there with fabulous ideas to transform our house into a place we are all excited to come home to every day.

  • Augustine and team are amazing! Fantastic eye for detail, punctual, accommodating, excellent quality of work. I have NOTHING bad to say about these guys. They are the best! I will recommend them to everyone I know.

  • Great - workers were professional, careful, meticulous, knowledgeable, perfectionists. I was very comfortable with them in the house, they redid a couple of things that I didn't even notice. Everything looks great, they came up with solutions to some uneven original floors.

  • Andy is very respectful, reasonably price, and is very polite. He will tell you the most cost effective way to do the work that needs to be done. The baseboards turned out beautifully and I couldn't be happier.

  • The finished product of our knockdown texture and paint job turned out, for the most part, pretty good. The process of getting to the end of the job, however, was not a good experience. When dealing with contractors/contract work, things usually don't go off without a hitch. That's to be expected. When our start date was delayed a day, it wasn't the end of the world. When the crew originally finished the job and there were paint splatters and sloppy edges/corners, it was alright because the crew came out an additional day to fix all of their mistakes and complete the job properly. What ultimately made this whole experience disappointing was the lack of communication by management. When the start date was pushed back a day, it wasn't properly communicated to us. The morning the crew came out to start the job, I was surprised that the owner wasn't there to explain to his lead crew man everything that needed to be done. It was definitely a red flag when the crew was asking me what type of texture they were to apply, what color they were painting the ceilings and when they asked me if they were painting the walls as well(which was not part of the job). Those were all details he should have already known going into the job. Starting the job out that way made me worry a little bit. Our home is within a couple miles of Sun Painting's office, so I don't think it would've been that difficult for the owner to stop by that first morning to show his crew what needed to be done. Had that been done, I feel that the majority of the issues we ran into never would've occurred. Due to the delays and lack of communication, I felt that we were having to change our schedules and do all the leg work to reach out to the owner for updates on what is being done or when something will get fixed when there was an issue. Being the customer, that's just not good service and isn't acceptable. Overall, the actual painting/texturing done was pretty good(once the mistakes were fixed). Due to the lack of follow-up, proper communication and responsibility( we are still waiting almost 3 weeks now for answers on a couple small items we had that were broken/thrown away. the owner just pushes the responsibility on his crew man to reach out to us to address those issues, which he has not) we most likely won't use this company again. It's frustrating considering the crew was really nice and the owner was nice as well(albeit frustrating with the way he handled things) and the work done had a pretty good result.

  • Platinum Painting did an outstanding job for us! Chris came out and gave us an estimate that included fixing a few cracks and replacing a board on an exterior balcony that was rotted. When they got here to do the work we found a couple of other cracks and another bad board, they fixed those too at no extra cost. We were undecided on a couple of colors so he talked us through some suggestions and we're very happy with the results. The crew kept our house amazingly clean throughout the process and were very easy to work with. I can't recommend these guys enough!
