    Rudy Rodriguez Painting and Remodeling
This has been a very unpleasant experience. We paid Rudy Rodriguez $54,500 to put an addition on our house. He did not complete the job, he does substandard work, he doesn't fix what is brought to his attention, he gives various excuses as to why he can't start sometime as scheduled, he doesn't return calls, he doesn't show up for work, he only works a few hours, he takes all forms of shortcuts, and he uses the wrong materials for the job. We have had to pay another contractor to remove the little work he did and start from scratch. Since our dealings with Rudy Rodriguez, we have found other people that have used him and each has given the same story: he does very litttle for the money, doesn't show up for work, and gets disrespectful to the homeowner. He requires half up front and then weekly installments. We paid as he requested. He did no work on our house for almost 3 weeks after we paid him up front. Then he came by to tell us he had everybody lined up to get started that he had made all these deposits and would start on that Monday. We thought great now we are moving. Before I realized it I'd given him more money. Then that Monday came and went--very little work was done. No subcontractors ever showed up. He came again ans said he had had some difficulties and would then start on the next Monday. Once again, I found myself giving him more money. I told him then there would not be any more money until we saw work done. That was a useless point--we only had $1,500.00 remaining on "the contract". His response was "I won't get any more money". We did not see him for several weeks. Then he had other excuses as to why he didn't pour our concrete "our rock was to hard". Then when driveway got poured, we called a couple days later to tell him it had several cracks. He said he would fix it and never came back to fix it or anything else that wasn't done properly. We discovered where he lived and inquired as to when he planned on returning to finish our addition. He responded give me 2 weeks and I'll be finished with my addition. Yet he was putting a second story on his house. We asked why he didn't use the right materials on or house. He turned to his worked and asked him if he had used OSG board and worker answered no. Rudy said he would be at our house that afternoon. Nope he didn't show. A couple days later he and his worker came with a plumber. Plumber said he would need a permit. Rudy argued with him and then said he would have "his people do it then". My husband attempted to back plumber up by agreeing permit would be needed. Rudy told him to "go sit in the corner and I'll be with you in a minute". An argument ensued from there and Rudy and his worker left. We have filed a complaint with BBB and contacted local TV station to report dishonest contractor

Better Homes Construction dba Eric Aranda
from the get go, could sense something was off. Permits were "pulled" for electrical, plumbing and remodel, except we never saw permits. The permit that was pulled was by Eric for the addition and did not cover the remodel. His "electrician" "plumber" and "engineer" were all his hands , none of which were able to pull a permit. They bounced from room to room without completing any on area. When I questioned them it was always we are waiting on something or other to finish.i finally called permit office and asked why no one was inspecting the work and they said no one had pulled permits. He was shut down, because I interfered. He kept saying they were working on permit but nothing ever showed and he continued to work on some of it until an inspector showed and put a NO WORK tag on him. Still kept feeding us the line that permits would be ready tomorrow or the next week. Finally had another contractor come by and look, he pointed out unblocked floors, non structurally sound beams, shabby work, corner cutting, generally crappy work. I "fired" Aranda and asked for alll the materials I had supposedly ordered. Found out he didn't order any of the stuff he said was coming.

    Arocha Design Build
Knocked down 1 brick wall and never showed back up. We have tried to contact him for over 2 weeks. We have an outline of the project and we have been contacting him trying to get him to come out finish our renovation. The last time he contacted me was last Thursday when he told me was going to send someone to come work on it. He never sent anyone and its been almost two weeks since the wall has been knocked down. Its been raining and we live in an area where there are mice and rats. The last thing I want is the mice and rats in between my walls. He had bought wood which was left out in the rain for weeks - completely warped. Its been over a 5 week job. We've lost $8,400.

    MAX Builders & Remodeling
Not very good.   The tiles were uneven, many were hollow underneath them.  Tiles were left out in manysmall areas and the width between the tiles was noticable throughout.   Tile size was not used asrequested and all kinds of excuses have been given.  The baseboards are a mistake I will have tolive with.   When the job was in the beginning stage Mr. Sims stated he would be here to overseethe job, and this was not the case, because he as rarely here.Do not use the company or Mr. Grady Sins.
