    FOBB'S SERVICES
This is not a legitimate company. DO NOT HIRE any company dealing with ROCHELLE OR VERNELL FOBBS- landscaping or otherwise. They did not complete the work they promised, and were beyond unprofessional. They left a huge mess of trash out in our ally and never came back to clean it. They claimed they had professional painters, so we hired them to paint the inside of our house. It took them a week and a half to paint the inside of a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. On top of that, I had to babysit them and point out all of the places they needed to paint or fix paint. We hired Vernell Fobbs to paint the outside of our house. They painted only the front and sides, claiming that when we first spoke, that is what I requested. As if I would be ok with not having the back of my house painted! To boot, they spray painted some things outside and got dark paint all over the brick on the back of the house. We hired Vernell Fobbs to replace our roof. He exceeded his timeline on the roof by a week. (It took 2 weeks) All of the hardware on top of the roof was not replaced. Instead, it was spray painted! On top of that, they painted the hardware next to the house and got dark paint all over the brick on the back of the house and on the brick of the chimney! We originally hired these people for landscaping, as that is what they advertise. Do not hire these people for landscaping either! They left a huge mess of trash out in our ally and never came back to clean it. One thing they were supposed to do is level out the back yard with dirt- They lightly put dirt over our back yard and didnt pack it. Now dirt just blows in the back yard. It looks terrible. Also, they promised to aerate and seed our back yard, but didnt and then lied and argued with me about it. There is no seed in our back yard. Not to mention, the pictures all over their website and Facebook are stock photos- not photos of work theyve done. I was not ever able to get ahold of the references Vernell gave me. These people are liars and a complete terror to work with.

    Hagood Home Improvements
The crew showed up in the morning for work on a few items that needing attention around the house. The first item was some soft wood below our roof in the back yard. Another was to patch a hole in some dry wall in our laundry room. We also needed some grout work in the master shower. Finally we just wanted a light bulb replaced in the ceiling of our back porch over hang. My wife was present when the crew was "finished" with their work and she paid them the prearranged amount because she was told the job was complete. I returned home to find that the wood in the backyard was replaced to my satisfaction. However, when I went to check out the shower the job was so poorly done it was shocking. The grout lines in my shower are very thin and it looked as if the grout was applied with a small broom. Plus, the grout color was a dark brown that contracted starkly to my white tiled and grouted shower. I then noticed that there wasn't even an attempt to patch the hole I requested. Finally, the entire reason I asked for the light bulb in the back yard to be replaced was because the glass cover was painted over and I knew it would take a razor or exacto knife to cleanly remove the plate in order to change the bulb (this was explained during the job detail). It looked like a crowbar was used to remove the plate and of course the paint came along with it, leaving spots around the fixture where the paint was ripped off. When I called Mr. Hagood was apologetic and agreed to come and finish the job. After observing the shower he agreed that it needed to be redone and stated that he forgot to patch up the hole in the laundry room. Fair enough, I didn't even mention the pain around the outside light fixture. So his crew came again to work on the shower and after a full day, he said he needed to come back tomorrow to finish the job. When the next day came he pushed the time back to the afternoon (of course calling to alert us of this 20 minutes before he was supposed to show up). Then he didn't show up at all. We called him literally for weeks, left several messages and he just never showed up to finish the job or even have the decency to answer my phone call and tell me what needed to be finished so I could call someone else.

    Franks Home Repair
The granite countertop that he brought was not smooth and had not been sanded down. It was a used piece that he was trying to resell. He takes your deposit for half of the job and all he does is take your money. He has no intention of completing the job. He gets you to buy materials and once you buy the materials whatever you have left he will take them with him. His pricing was good. His pricing was too cheap to be real. I see why his prices are cheap because he did not intend to finish the job. He was only going to take a deposit and never come back. He went to my sister's house, did one day's work, did not return and took $400. His work is good but he shows up late. His word is not good. Once he gets his money and decides he is not going to do the work, you will not hear from him again.

    Unique Remodeling
We hired him to help us sell our old house. We showed him where we wanted the paint and repairs done. He gave us a price and we were surprised how affordable. He showed up on time and worked so quickly and accurately. We would ask him if he knew how to do a job, like cover the holes from the old furnaces, and he would charge a good price, and fix it so awesome. He showed us all the little flaws in the house and just fix them. He was always polite, professional , and funny. When he finished, we weren't sure if we still wanted to sell, because it looked so wonderful! But, our house sold very quickly and we got $10,000.00 more than originally set.

We just recently hired him to replace our old wooden fence at our new house. That took a lot of work, it was very hot, and there was tons of rocks in the ground. He didn't charge us extra for that, but he should have. We love our new metal fence. It looks so much better than before. He really like this guy and we always recommend to our family and friends.

The paint work was satisfactory but they broke three sprinkler heads that were open and visible in the front flower beds and did not tell anyone.

The gutter work was not installed correctly.  It was sloppy and not as requested.

When I asked them to come back out they did.  I asked if they was satisfied with the work.  They looked at it and responded yes even though some of the gutters were well below the roof drip edge and not properly secured.  When I pointed out the substandard work, twisted gutters and sloppy installation they then agreed that it was not correct and would correct it.

After the correction the gutter was still twisted.  They came back and again said it looked good.  After showing them the gutter that was twisted over an inch in the middle they agreed that some "clips" had not been installed correctly and they would get it corrected.   They did respond to concerns promptly, and the final work, though not as originally requested, was acceptable.

    Franks Complete Home Repair
From the start, Frank was very nice, professional, and so meticulous in his work. I have hired others in the past and not satisfied and have had to redo what I had paid for. Frank's work was perfect and he knows how to do it all and DID! I have a big project coming up and I would only use Frank!

    Quality Home Services
The owner is Wayne Merinar.  They took a long time and never got the work done.  They asked for $500 up front and then asked for another $500 half way through.  After I paid the 2nd $500 they took off with all the materials, we have not heard from them and we can not get in contact with them bc their phone is turned off.  They took off with the exterior lights to our home, so now we have no lights outside.

    Rudy Rodriguez Painting and Remodeling
Did not go well at all. The contractor did not stay on top of supervision of his crew. The job took a lot longer than it should have. The workmanship was sloppy and unexcusable. My wife and I spent over a 100 hours cleaning up overspray from his crew not using tarps, coverings, etc. Overspray was on the ceiling fans, fan blades, globes, light bulbs, mirrors, faucets, sinks, counter tops, all windows, doors, closet doors, the banister, the carpet, handles and pulls, kitchen cabinets, the sunroom doors and glass, commodes, shower doors and just about everything! Also after leaving the job we found out that they had forced a garage door shut and I had to have an overdoor company come out and fix it. We were never told about the garage door from the contractor. It was never mentioned.
