5 Things to Check Before Hiring an Electrician

Electrician reviews in Odessa

They were recommended by a friend. The first time they came out and took a look at what I wanted done and they gave me a quote. What they did was they built wall, they built kitchen cabinets, they did plumbing, they did electrical, I gutted a big portion and they put it back together for me. A friend of mine referred them and I have no complaints. They did like the minor stuff, they did like ceiling fans, but as far as the electrical, wires down inside the wall, they didn't. They put me in a couple of plugs and fixed my light fixtures, and ceiling fans, and that kind of electrical. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I had a couple of things that needed tweaked and within two days they were back out here and took care of it. Everybody was good, they were there with the workers at all times.

Jared and helper arrived on time, stayed all day to make sure everything was done right. Stayed to make sure electrical was reconnected by power company. Listened to us, and relieved any worries we might have.  Very reasonable price. We have much more electrical work to be done and will certainly be using Strong Tower again. Couldn't have asked for any one better and are so excited to have found them for current and future electrical needs.

1.) High cost for annual service.

    2.) High deductible $60

3.) Every service provided has a long list of "Excepts"

4.) Pest Control (which is extra) is non existant

5.) Upkeeping Air Conditiong unit (which is extra) is on an appointment basis and only at certain times of the year.  What it consists of a company coming out and telling you what you need to do to upkeep your system, you pay $60 for this...not actually servicing the unit.

6.) Key Entry (locksmith) - is non existant - they put in so many qualifiers that at the end only someone who is purple, born on 3/3/13 at 3;30 will qualify.

We paid up front for a full year service with Landmark - thinking they were high priced for a reason, they are it's to scam you out of as much money as possible.

1.) Forget about getting anything electrical completed - the exceptions will override everything.

2.) Forget about getting any plumbing fixed - the exceptions will override everything.

3.) They will not fix anything but simply say it can't be fixed and then give you a small fraction of what it would cost to actually replace your appliance.

4.) We  called them out at least 10 times out of those perhaps 3 were fixed, 2 were replacements appliances (see #3) and 1 was a replaced water heater.  It still cost us $380 + 60.

5.) Each contractor that came out would respond in a way that was favorable to landmark for not having to fix the problem.  In other words, the problem was stated as one of the long list of "exemptions"...even if there was no evidence to suggest that was the problem.

6.) They also were horrible about keeping track of service calls and the result

DO NOT pick this horrible service.  We had American Home Shield and that was so much better than Landmark.

They work with integrity and they do a fantastic job. They are quick as well. Mr. Gonzalez is the owner and he supervises the work himself. He gives you a free estimate and he's great to do business with.

Ronnie is fantastic! He does a great job planning out the rough in so when it's time to install everything goes smoothly. He was the best contractor we worked with on the project. His work is excellent and he's very professional and friendly. His schedule is packed but he's worth the wait! And if he tells you he will do it, he will! We are 100% pleased with our experience with him.

Jared responded promptly to my call and worked me into his schedule that day. He was very knowledgable and showed me how the fixture had not been properly wired in the first place but since it had worked before, he said it was more likely that the black boxes the wires attached to (the name of which I can't remember) had gone bad. First he correctly wired the fixture, but when it still didn't work, he replaced the black boxes and that did the trick. And he figured out why the range hood wasn't working (it hadn't been connected correctly either). He was personable, professional and I felt his charges were very reasonable.

Do not use this provider for any type of work. He is not reputable or professional. I would not recommend him to anyone as he over charges, does not give proper receipts, and is not reliable. He will make up superficial charges that are not correct and he will not explain this prior.

It took too long to finish and part of the job was not completed until Corey Sly himself got involved.  I believe the issue was an isolated problem.  Corey took care of the problem to my satasfaction.  He and his team are very nice and professional.  I would recommend  and use them again.

Armando and Robert (Ultimate Electric) are GREAT!!! They responded quickly and met me after work the same day I called. Armando emailed my quote exactly when he said he would and he scheduled the install with no delays. They completely removed the old service which was originally installed in 1968, put in the new box w/shut off on the outside of the house too. They replaced the old roof pipe and reinstalled all new. We had to coordinate the electric company shutting off/cutting the overhead lines with them replacing our service. This was critical because if you didn't call the electric company to have it reconnected and turned back on by 3:30pm, the company would charge you for after hours. After a few hours, we were reconnected well before that 3:30pm time frame. They worked fast and made sure everything was exactly as I wanted it to look as well as meeting building code. They moved to installing new receptacles, switches, and boxes for new ceiling fans in a new room. Then they finished up by adding service and wiring to a workshop. Even though it was a workshop, they made sure the lines were properly run and the finished product professional.
We have other projects coming up and will not hesitate to call them back for work. No job was to small for them and in Odessa/Midland's current work situation, trying to get electricians, plumbers, etc to your home for small jobs is almost an act of congress (and we know how we feel about them!). They both made us feel like we had known them all our lives, were so easy to deal with and felt like they were part of a family. I highly recommend these guys to anyone for your electrical needs.
