He is a pulmonologist. He has started a concierge program. He takes care of all of my other medical problems. I've been going to him for probably about 10 years. The reason I started going to him was that I had an x-ray and it showed something on the right side in my chest cavity. They sent me to him. That's how I started going to him. But, I had a choice and the reason I chose him was because my husband had been very ill. While he was in the hospital, they were trying to find out what was wrong with him. His lungs were bleeding on the inside, plus, he had a lot of other symptoms too. I guess, they brought Dr. Adams in and he diagnosed it as Wegener's disease, which is not a very commonly known disease. Nobody else had diagnosed it. I knew that he was a good doctor from that. I had a choice to go to a pulmonologist and that's who I chose. I've been going to him ever since. The office environment and staff is very good. His wife is the office manager. When I go in, they treat me like a part of the family. We sit and chat and talk. It's real pleasant. You don't have a long wait. You get there and barely get seated and he is ready to see you. It's very efficient. When I went to him, he did a chest x-ray and something showed up in my chest. It was Sarcoidosis. In the x-ray it looks like a little clump of grapes. They have calcified. They're not active. He kept watching those to make sure they didn't grow. They could have gone in and done a surgery, but it was so close to the heart. It would have been a real delicate surgery and he didn't want to even think about that. He just left them and he verified the fact that they are not growing or there was nothing going on there and I never had any problems. He was the one that diagnosed that too.

On the third visit, Dr. Choumarov accused my son of purposefully forcing himself to vomit.  The next time this problem occurred, I consulted one of his school nurses--in this case, a CNA--who accurately diagnosed my son with allergies.

It went well. Dr. Baker was very helpful. During my visit he asked about 3 times and quot;do you have any questions?and quot; I liked that he wanted to make sure that I understood everything before I left.

I scheduled an appointment to see a P.A. at this facility to try and renew some allergy prescriptions (please see my review on Dr. Raghu for why I needed to come to Wendover).

I have had asthma and allergies for as long as I can remember (at least 30 years).  I simply needed to see a doctor to get some prescriptions called in.

I arrived at Wendover 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork.  I had the paperwork back to the staff 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment.  Then I went back to my chair and waited.... and waited... and waited... and waited....

After 45 minutes, I went to check with the staff about my appointment.  I was assured that my chart was "back there" and someone would be with me soon.  I then returned to my chair... and waited.... and waited... etc.

After another 20 minutes, I went back to the desk and advised the staff that they had called literally every single other person in the office back to the back rooms except for me.  The lady at the front desk advised that she didn't know what to tell me... she thought someone might see me soon.

While I was waiting for her to check on the status of my appointment, they called back another 2 or 3 people to come into the back room... you guessed it, my name wasn't listed.

These are not people who had earlier appointments, mind you... I was within earshot of the front desk, so I could hear them when they said what time they had scheduled their visits.  Either my doctor was in the back dealing with a major trauma, or he had gone to lunch.

Finally, after sitting in the waiting room for over an hour and fifteen minutes, I demanded all of my information back and left.  NEVER got to see my doctor.

Save yourself the trip... this is just another Odessa Clinic that can't handle the volume of traffic coming through.

***If you'll notice the response below, I was assured that someone would contact me on April 10, 2014.  Just as an update to anyone interested, I've never received a phone call or an explanation from anyone at Wendover... Much less any sort of "opportunity to correct this situation".***

He is awesome.  I was having some medical issues and he found out what was going with me.  I was referred to him by a friend.  His bedside manner is awesome.  He listens to my problems.  He is not there to just try and push me off after 5 minutes.  He is thorough and of course he is going to be very thorough at the end of the hour.  He doesn’t order unnecessary lab tests.  He is very easy to talk to and the big plus thing is that he is a Christian.  He doesn’t overdo medications with me and explains side effects which most doctors don’t do.  He goes the extra mile to explain to me why I am taking it and why I have to take combinations.  He is very knowledgeable in what he does and in his specialty.

I had a horrible experience. He was disrespectful and uncaring. I had to wait 1.5 hours and he called me a drug addict. He accused me of drug seeking behavior and prescribed a medication that later caused me to have a gran mall seizure. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a week later by another physcian.

I started having problems breathing at the age of 10. I went to several doctors and was told I had asthma by an asthma specialist. They heavily medicated me with 3 different inhalers and pills. They only made me feel worse. I went to Dr. Barnard and he told me to stop taking them and didn't think I had asthma. Later I was diagnosed with a heart condition. I went to tons of different specialists in trying to get a diagnosis and several heart specialists. None of them would listen to me and just said it was nothing to worry about and some even said it was just in my head. Dr. Barnard took me seriously and when I went back to him he did extensive tests to find out why I was having so many problems. I finally got diagnosed with Marfan's syndrome and Dysautonomia. He is the best doctor I know!

Took me back on time and was back out in about 30 minutes. They used their time wisely and didn't waste mine.
