Mr. David Rodriguez showed up each day for 3 weeks with his crew.  We never had any problems and all conversations and interactions with him and his crew were very professional.

Mr.Rodriguez first began by digging the footings and installed the rebar for the concrete fence.  While he was waiting on the city inspector to come by and approve that part, he installed the wrought iron fence across the front of the house and concreted the poles in.  This was a very hard process for him and his crew as our ground is pretty much solid rock.  His crew hammered and jackhammered for 2 days to get holes deep enough for the poles. He finished up this job by the time the city inspector came around for the fence.

Once the city inspector came around, then he built the concrete fence and did an excellent job!  Then we discussed him laying a concrete sidewalk along one side of our home and laying some flagstone rock on the other side of the driveway.  In having the walk thru, he noticed that our foundation had a crack all along that side of the house and chunks of concrete were falling off and we told him that had been happening over the last 25 years. He said he could repair that and discussed that he could go in and drill some holes and install rebar to stabilize everything and then concrete a ledge to make it look nice.  He quoted us a  price by the next day and we all agreed to do this work.  So after the concrete fence was built, he then reinforced the foundation.  After that, he poured the concrete sidewalk and had the flagstone on its way.  While waiting on the flagstone to arrive, him and his crew dug out the area for the flagstone to be placed.  He put down caliche and packed it real good.

Then Mr. Rodriguez and his crew proceeded to lay the flagstone in the area specified.  In the meantime, we also had a brick flowerbed at the door front area that was about 3 ft. high that we dug out and decided to fill it in and make a ledge.  Mr. Rodriguez and his crew filled this in with some of that rock they got out of our yard and then put on a concrete layer and then placed flagstone in that area which made it Beautiful!!!!  What a great idea David had!  He is very creative and makes suggestions to let you think about.  He also repaired some of the bricks on this area that were deteriorating and did an excellent job there and you couldn't even tell that there was a problem.

Then after he was almost finished with the flagstone area, I noticed he had a little bit of flagstone left over.  We discussed this and he suggested putting in edges of flagstone on each side of the driveway and in the middle section of the area in front of our circular drive to give it some accents. So we did that.

In the end, all was very professional and excellent work.  Him and his crew cleaned everything up and hauled off all trash and swept the driveways and porch and left my residence in excellent shape.

David and his guys showed up the day he said they would.  Framed up/prepared the garage slab and curved driveway addition.  Began pour the next morning, bag by bag until the slabs were finished.  started around 9am and finished 11pm that night.  They broke for lunch when it didn't cause a problem for the slabs which was around 4pm that afternoon.  While finishing up the slabs, another part of his crew began removing the ends of my driveway (3 day project).  One thing about David, his brother and crew, they don't waste time, they work, work, work.  Patiently working with you on all your needs and answering questions as they arise.  In this day and time, this economy in Odessa/Midland it is a blessing to be able to find someone you can trust, believe in their ethics and know you will get quality craftsmanship.    They are heavy in demand so if you have the time to wait, get in touch with him and just wait, they will get to you!

David and his crew showed up when they said they would, very little down time. They began clearing the area needing slab poured, one of which included a curved slab. They removed old rebar and concrete (which they could have taken a short-cut and poured over the top of it) matched the forms up with existing and poured. Due to all the construction, they would have had to wait for a concrete truck but rather than delay, they mixed and poured both slabs bag by bag. they worked until both slabs were finished and brushed to prevent slickness then they began replacing brick from around windows. We had removed more brick to flash and put in new energy efficient windows with argon gas. They worked until 10pm at night, using work lights to continue so that the next day would be very little left to do along with clean up. Arrived bright and early next morning, finished the last couple of windows and by the time they cleaned up, it didn't look as if they had been there. They have been an absolute joy to work with. Very dedicated to giving their customer what they want.

Joe was responsive in calling me and getting work done.  His employees worked hard until late each night to complete the work in a timely manner.  Good quality work.  The fence looks great!  Would highly recommend.

David and his crew framed up our patio on August 5th /6th and poured the concrete on August 8th. They were paid half the amount owed when they started the frame work.
When i got home that afternoon they were still working but earlier that day they had called my husband to have him come home from work to unlock our back door and try to open it because David thought he had poured the concrete to high and we would be unable to open our door. So my husband came home and sure enough the door would not open. David said he had put plastic up and could not see the bottom of the door and that was the reason it was poured to high. Seems to me he should have marked where the bottom of the door was ahead of time but obviously he did not. So in his effort to fix it he scraped the concrete just outside the door making a dip of sorts so the door would open. I had noticed that concrete was splattered all over our stucco job from one end of the house to the other and all over the door. I asked David if he was going to clean it off and he said he would, not to worry about it he would take care of it.
They finished the job and we paid David the remaining amount owed that evening. With a promise that he would come back the next day and clean off our walls and door. HUGE MISTAKE! Later we went back out to take a closer look at it and The 6 inch side had a large hump in the middle and it sloped from the center in every direction. The step was leaning at a slope as looked terrible. The 4 inch side where he scraped looked terrible also and our door would not open smoothly without rubbing on the concrete. It was still to high and unlevel as well. It rained a couple days later and the patio was holding water in spots on both sides even up against the house.
We tried to call David late thursday morning but got no answer. When we got home that evening and noticed that David did not show up Thursday to clean up we tried to call him that evening and got no answer nor did we get a call back from him. When he did not show up again Friday we called him again, no answer of course. Finally later that night he called back and we told him about our disappointment with the patio. He showed up over the weekend to look over his job and told us that and quot; The job just got away from him, he should have done one side at a time, that he had been working so much and was basically overwhelmed and his workers were fixing to go on vacation so obviously their mind was not on the joband quot;. We showed him where they had ripped our stucco in several places and asked again when he would clean our walls. He told us i will get your walls clean but for us to go ahead and get the stucco fixed and send him the bill.
So that day David decided that on the 6 inch side he would resurface with a 3 inch top and get it leveled out, he would have to raise the step to level it out as well. On the 4 inch side he said he would jack hammer it up and re pour it. Then he said that since his helpers would be on vacation it would be a couple weeks before he could get it done. My husband offered to help David if it would get the job done faster. But David never responded nor asked him.
Nearly 3 Weeks went by and we had not heard from him so we called him to ask him when he would be here, he said he was having to work another job to pay to fix ours so he would let us know.
Finally they show up with all the equipment to mix concrete by hand and unloaded it in the back yard. They set the frame and jack hammered the 4 inch side only where it met up with the 6 inch side which left wire exposed sticking up but they did not even cut those down. When they finished laying the concrete on the 6 inch side they covered it but left the frame work on so the sides and edges did not get smoothed like they should have. When we removed the tarp the following day you could see that they sloped it to the front and to the side?? and the other end of the same slab is 2 inches higher..ugh. There are also many boot prints stained on the concrete that i hope will wear off. The step is now taller and looks crooked cuz he laid one side of the slab 2 inches higher than the other. The edges of The step were and still are all chipping not smooth like they should be and of course looks terrible. At this point we are totally discouraged and really don't want him to finish the job but we already paid him and he said he would make it right. So on it went.
He left his work trailer parked on the side of our house and his trailer full of rock dirt mix and concrete, wire, buckets etc. in the yard so he could attempt the 4 in. side. One of the hands came over and jack hammered up part of the 4 inch slab and would come back off and on until he finished it and finally piled all the concrete in a huge pile in the back yard. In the meantime they dumped their rock dirt mix on our yard with no tarp underneath and covered it till they could get back and finish the 4 inch side. This took another week or so. In the meantime i raked up rocks out of the yard and had to break up the concrete they had spilt all in the yard because they would not clean it up. We also had to pick up water bottles, caps, coke cans everytime they showed up to work even though we left a trash can outside for them.

I noticed one day when backing out of the drive that on the back of his red work trailer he had a bumper sticker up top that read and quot;Vaginatarianand quot;. Totally unprofessional. Had i seen this sooner he would have never been hired for this job.
Finally after a couple weeks they show up to finish the 4 inch side. Low and behold where this side meets the 6 inch side it is already cracking And still holds water in a couple places. But at least we can get our door open.
So David loads up all his equipment and says he'll be right back after he drops all that off so he can load the pile of concrete and clean our walls and door etc. Well he called a little later and said his truck broke down with the trailer behind it at his house and he would come over and do all that when he was able to move/fix his truck.
Well we tried to call him days later and got no answer, we were pretty sure he was not gonna finish the job but held out hope he would keep his promise. This job at this point had already taken 2 months. So finally we texted him over the weekend reminding him of his promise to finish the job and he responded by saying i will be there on Tuesday. Well, of course he did not show up that tuesday and when i got home from work i called and asked him if he was going to finish this job up and he said yes i am trying to get my trailer cleaned off so i can get over there...i though maybe he would be here later that evening or the next day. Well over 2 weeks went by and we heard nothing from him. So i called him and go figure...he did not answer. So out of total frustration i left him a hateful message. When i heard nothing back after 15 minutes i called back and he answered. I once again asked him if he was coming to pick up this huge pile of concrete as well as clean up our yard of all the rocks that they had spread all over it, and the rest of the trash. He said he would send a guy over to pick up the trash the next day. I then had to remind him that he needed to come over and clean our walls and door and smooth the edges of our concrete that he had said he would do previously since day 1. He finally said he would be there tomorrow as well. That was last friday the 19th of october. He picked up the pile of concrete, wire, frame boards, buckets etc. and left. When he left he did not even have the common courtesy to close our sliding gate leaving our back yard wide open. they threw water bottles and caps and 2 coke cans on the ground as well even though the same trash can was out there. So when i got home and noticed he had not cleaned our walls or smoothed the edges of the concrete etc. i called him to find out if he was coming back to do this. He replied and quot;between you and your husband i am tired of doing stuff for freeand quot; and then hung up on me. I kid you not!
This man screws up our patio and stucco job royally and then promises to make it right only to prove what i already knew.....he is not a man of his word. It's like i told him...You are a business man David and i know you can do better than you have done.
I would not recommend him to anyone simply because i would not want our story to be someone elses story. This job took 2 1/2 months so far and he is still not done. I will be happy to update my review if he ever decides to finish the job and to pay our stucco bill, but seriously i doubt that will ever happen.
We hope that the 6 inch side will support a hot tub but we have our doubts. We had hoped to have our awning put up long before now but have been delayed due to all this nonsense.
We appreciate David's efforts to make this right, i mean after all we do have our patio out back even though it is still not level and holds water and is chipping and cracking along with a hollow (hole) on the edge of the 6 inch corner which is going to make it hard to anchor into and he ruined our stucco job out back but hey at least he was honest about why he didn't get it done right in the first place. He cannot tell me that he is a professional and then act surprised when we showed him his own lousy job, he knew what he had done and only worked to make it right when it was convenient for him not caring that we were inconvenienced for 21/2 months as well.

That is what they specialize in actually. We had never used them before that. That balcony leaked. The guy that performed the job, his name was Will, didn't do the job correctly. He didn't check and make sure it wasn't leaking. It leaked and the roof underneath it was leaking. I didn't figure it out for a year because I was assured that their work was great and you never had any problems with it. I realized there was a problem, but I just didn't realize it was the balcony. They came back and repaired it. They poured the ugliest cement on that balcony that I had ever seen the first time around. They poured that in 107 degree weather. It cracked and it was just ugly. They sprayed retardant on it and mixed the retardant into the cement. When they came back to repair it, what they did was rather than take in the whole section of the cement out so that the lines would all match up, they saw cut out a portion of that cement and re-poured it. Now all the lines are uneven. They have got a really good reputation in Dallas. But they just didn't do that great of a job on my house and I was very dissatisfied with it. Then they sent Will out again. He is a young 25-year-old kid. He is lazy and he doesn't do his job evidently. He doesn't sit out there and make sure it's done right. He probably sits there and texts his friends or something. I just felt like for that amount of money they could have done a better job. The second time I told them I didn't want them dumping their cement on my brand new grass, so they went across the street and dumped their cement on my neighbor's yard. My neighbor and I were not happy about that. If I had to have another balcony done, I wouldn't even do cement. They are supposedly the only ones that do a decent job in Dallas and you can see how their job turned out. I would probably make it out of wood. I probably would not use them again in the future.
