  • A word of warning to anyone who is needing automotive collision repair done in the Odessa Texas area: DO NOT use All American Collision Repair! The office personnel are very nice and polite when coming up with inventive excuses for the reasons for delaying the return of your vehicle. I made an appointment to bring my vehicle in for repair through my insurance company in July of this year. My appointment was scheduled for August 16th. I was given an initial estimated time frame of completion of 1 to 2 weeks. It is now October 12th and I have yet to receive my vehicle. My insurance company allowed a gracious 30 days for a rental vehicle. Since the 30 days expired, my family has had to make due with one vehicle which has proved to be stressful at best. I have since been given 3 new dates of completion which have all gone by. Throughout all of this, I have been given various excuses for why my vehicle remains in their shop. These reasons include the painters dent repair sublet allowing my vehicle to sit, untouched, for 2 weeks, waiting on parts, am attempt to blame my insurance company for taking too long to adjust the claim (which I verified was not true) and other excuses such as "the only guy that we have to install the rear window was called out on an emergency job". I have reached the limits of my patience. It has taken almost 2 months to complete an estimated 1-2 week repair. All with very little correspondence and no apologies from All American Collision and Repair. I understand that things happen and that there will be set backs. This has become beyond ridiculous. There are far too many locally owned and operated businesses that have great reputations and provide outstanding service. Please don't make the same mistake that I have made.

  • I was very pleased. Took car in for intermittent starting problem. Plagued me for years and several mechanics couldn't fix the problem, just wanted to throw parts at it. Took in for diagnosing, and found out fuel pump wasn't working correctly. They changed the pump and filter and didn't try to upsell me to replace more than what was needed. Car starts perfectly now. Couldn't be happier.

  • The windshield was replaced, but I noticed some damage to my truck a few months later when I was trying to run some wire underneath my windshield.  There is a plastic molding that sits on the base of the windshield in between the hood of the truck and the windshield.  This item holds the windshield wipers and it needs to be removed when replacing a windshield.  When I was running the wire, I noticed that some of the clips that hold this part to the body of the truck were broken off.  It looks as if the tech was just impatient and used a pry bar to remove this part and break some of the clips in the process instead of taking the time to correctly loosening the clips.  After the windshield was installed, the part didn't even seat correctly.  I only noticed it when I was running the wire which forced me to take a closer inspection and that is when I noticed the damage.  This was a brand new truck and I only had it for four months.  Its poor workmanship like this that makes me want to perform my own work instead of trusting others to do it.  If you want something done right, do it yourself.

  • was told it would take four days to make the repairs, when that time came they made excuses that they had too much work and not enough help they said my truck would be ready on two more dates  that did not happen, they had excuses for everything. it took nine days for my truck to be ready and when we checked it they had left a dent in the door that was supposed to be fixed. these people were disorganized, unprofessional and did not keep there word, what they told me up front was not true. I contacted my insurance company and I am waiting to hear from them.

  • I called this shop on a Saturday and asked if they could do a Transmission Flush on my 06 Mercury Mariner. Dan advised that he would prefer to put it on the computer so that they could know precisely what was wrong. I was told That they wouldn't charge for the computer diagnosis. I brought the car in on Tuesday. I receive a call from Dan on Thursday saying that I needed a new transmission. He said that the transmission itself would be $1400 to $1500 because he would have it shipped from Illinois. I asked why not get it in town and was told that these in town wouldn't be up to par. Then he said it would be an additional $1200 to $1300 for labor. I told him I couldn't afford that and I would come pick up the car. He then told me he needed to call me back to let me know how much for the diagnosis. $240!!!! I told him that since I was told no charge I wouldn't expect to be charged so much. The Ford dealership was only going to charge $125. RIPPED OFF!!

  • These guys are simply great.
I arrived at the shop about ten minutes before they opened.  It was cold outside, so they already had the doors opened so that early arrivals, like me, could at least be warm while we waited for them to open up for business.
I had a problem with an exhaust leak in my car and needed an oil change.  I use my car quite a bit for work, and it was embarrasing showing up to meetings with a car that sounded like a swarm of angry hornets.
Dominick was the person manning the phones and counter.  He was courteous and helpful.  When my oil changed was finished he called to let me know, and advised that he thought that the car needed a certain part (a resonator) that he did not have in stock for my particular model.  He ordered the part and let me know when it would be in.
A few days later (the day he told me the part would be in) I dropped my car off again.  Once again, it was a cold morning and I got there a few minutes before they opened.  Once again, the guys in the shop had already unlocked the doors to let people in to stay warm.
Dominick was again courteous and helpful.  He even said that he would have the technician drive the car again, just to be sure he knew what the problem was before he tried to fix anything.
A little later, Dominick called back to let me know that, when they got ready to cut the exhaust system and replace the part, they found the crack where the exhaust was leaking.  Without a second thought, they just welded that part back together rather than replacing the whole unit.
Because of this, I did not have to pay the replacement cost of the new part on my old car.  Even though I probably would have never noticed that it was not installed and he had to special order the part for the factory, Dominick was honest about the repair work that was done and told me to come and get my car.
The story from there gets even BETTER.  When I arrived to pick up my car, they wouldn't even let me pay for their time.  Dominick said that he would feel bad for charging me for the work, for no more time than it took for his crew to fix the problem.
I can tell you that this type of service is rare in any part of the country, but has seemed especially rare in this part of West Texas for awhile now.
Midas has definitely earned my business.  I look forward to doing all my automotive business with them in the future.

  • Dropped off car for oil/filter change and the Service guy offered me a ride to work. I had planned to pick up car during my lunch and I got a call that it was ready and that someone was on the way to pick me up so i can get my car. Got to NIssan and my car was ready and they even washed it for me. I think their courtesy car is very old though and needs an upgrade and a wash too.

  • They were very fast and came to my car as soon as I pulled up.  I asked if they could also remove other stickers on my windshield besides my old inspection sticker and they did which was very kind because they did not have to.  They also walked me to my car and opened the door for me!

  • I bought the full service car wash inside and out for my SUV. The car wash is about 20 - 30 minutes for all they do (don't go on a Friday). Car was vacuumed, goes through the wash tunnell, hand dried and windows cleaned, tires sprayed and cleaned. Fragrance hanger included with my purchase.
Tip is appropriate for a good job :)
